Concerning Mascot Pokemon and the Ability "Pure Power"

Hi! I've returned, although no one's probably noticed me being gone at all...

Anyway, I was looking for a good mascot pokemon for my team. Now I was looking through the pokedex and found a good pokemon: Medicham. It justs looks so cool and inflated! Anyway, I found its attack stat very weak at only 60. Then I read its ability and it said that Medicham's attack would be doubled.

Does this make Medicham's base attack stat 120 instead of 60? Or does it just make all of his attacks doubled?

:)

I believe it makes Medicham's ATK doubled in battle only which is good, then you could teach Medicham all physical attacks

yeah... high attack, high special attack... ywt hardly used... seems like a good mascot:)

Adamant nature is best for Medicham, with it's ability, it lets Medicham have really high points of ATK

It's current attack stat is double (not special), azumarill has a similar ability.
You can also skill swap/trace the ability but when you do that it drops to a 1.5 boost for the battle to whoever recieved the ability

Yeah, but the AI of the game's too stupid to use skill swap :p Thanks everyone. Questions(s) answered.

also, I'm pretty sure that Skill Swapped Pure Power doesn't increase attack by 1.5. I have done testing on this, with a level 30 Misdreavus attacking a level 70 Swampert. With 7 tries with Misdreavus' normal attack, the average damage to Swampert with Shadow ball was 10.86. After Skill Swapping Pure Power to Misdreavus, after 7 tries the average damage done was 18.86, x1.74 the original damage.

I've always found dual fighting types to be good mascots~

that extra types attatched to whatever they are always compliments them brilliantly, especially in medicham's case.

(although my breloom has an unfortunate huge weakness to flying D:)

Stabs can stuff around with those results

When you skill swap Pure power/huge power it has half the effect.

Like this:
Pokemon with Huge Power(2x attack)
*pokemon skill swaps*
New Pokemon with Huge Power(1x attack)
*Skill Swap*
New Pokemon with Huge Power(.5x attack)

and so on :)

Hate to sound like a n00b, but what do you mean by 'mascot' Do you mean your strongest pokemon or what?
I mean like a play-around fun pokemon. Like Ash and Pikachu (but not really). This won't be my main ______, but rather the one pokemon on my team which is the most personalized one I have. All my other pokemon are Dragonite, Milotic, etc. with the same movesets as everyone else has. My future Medli'll be a tiny bit different though.

So what is the smallest power Skill Swap can go to?
