Concerning some special energies...

Stay positive
I have a question concerning some energies, namely Dark metal, Double Rainbow, and Rainbow.

Dark Metal: it says it can be dark or steel, but only one at a time. So say that one turn 1, I attack and have it as a dark type energy to add 10 damage. Then, during my opponent's turn, could it be a steel and lessen the damage taken? On when you play it, do you have to pick one and have it stay that way?

Double Rainbow: It can't be attatched to a non-evo or a Pokemon ex. It even says if the pokemon is no longer evolved, discard it. BUT, it never says that if an evo evolves into a stage 2 Pokemon ex that you have to discard it. And other cards, like Scramble, actually say that, so is that just something they forgot to say, or can you really do that?

Rainbow: Say I attatched two lightning and a rainbow to a Manectric ex. I use mega shot and discard the two lightning, and the rainbow is being considered, I dunno, Fire. Then on my next turn, I attatch a fire and use a Dragonite's PokePower to attatch an extra Lightning and use Mega Shot again. Could I change the rainbow into lightning for this turn to pay for the attack, or does it have to stay the same as what it was when you first played it?

1. The card says "but provides only 1 Energy at a time." This concerns the UNIT of Energy (it provides one Energy), but that one unit provides both Dark and Metal Energy, always. It also says "has no effect other than providing Energy." Dark Metal does not provide the +10 or -10 damage that the Darkness Energy and Metal Energy CARDS do, just the actual type of Energy.

2. If DRE is on a Pokemon that becomes either a non-evolved Pokemon OR a Pokemon EX, it will be discarded. There's not enough room on the card to clarify all of that. XD

3. Rainbow also counts as ALL Energy types all the time. If you use an attack where you need to discard all of a specific type of Energy than Rainbow Energy must be discarded.
