IMG code hasn't been turned for all forums, because the admins didn't bother to do so.
Well, I don't know the actual reason, but it's always been like that^^

In which forums is it turned off?
I don't think there are many.

HTML is not allowed, because it can be used to include "bad stuff" into your posts as well as screw up the layout if you don't use it properly.

Basically, with HTML one could potentially code a prompt for a virus or at the very least some incredibly annoying Javascript thing. Ergo, it is disabled and instead we get essentials with the bbCode.

I see... Sorry to keep annoying everyone, but I have one last question. I've seen people using accents and other variations. The most frequent is the use of accented 'e's in Pokemon. I haven't seen any way to put this in vB code. Could someone tell me?

The following method works for any program.

Find out the alt-code of the character you want (it's a four-letter series of numbers beginning with a 0, go to Start -> Run... and type in 'charmap'). Once you have that, make sure Num Lock is on and type in the alt-code using the numeric keypad while holding down the Alt key.

For example, my namesake has the alt-code of 0223. So, to type one, I hold down either Alt key and type in 0223 on the keypad, and when I release Alt I get an ß.

The particular é that people use in Pokemon has an alt-code of 0233.
