When you said "Pokemon fight each other in competition", that was attributed to Pokemon Battling.

Correction: I was comparing the competition of battling to the competition of racing

EDIT: I understand that m190049 but that does not mean i was saying anything about battling or racing themselves i was speaking of competition in general

I wouldn't rely that much on Pokebeach, I recall them posting the fake evolution of Turtwig back when Diamond/Pearl were about to be released as if it was truth.

Anyway, I think it's cool that they are kinda mixing Gold and Silver with Crystal. If that rumour about Tauros learning Extremespeed is true, then we might see a Move Tutor of Extremespeed, instead of recieving and Extremespeed Dratini.
I wouldn't be sure about the Kimono girls appearing throughout the game... they did have the role of giving the players surf... but nothing more.
Eusine is probably following Suicune but maybe Suicune isn't a stationary legend like in Crystal... something like, you can only battle Suicune and find it roaming after defeating Eusine... AND I HOPE EUSINE'S TEAM IS REVAMPED! And maybe Eusine could be the Champion [/forget this last line]
And finally... I hope you don't have to collect the 3 beasts to battle Ho-oh

Honestly, I think the racing idea sounds rather cool: yet another way to keep me playing while earning... whatever.

I'm glad that the main Pokemon games are moving away from just battling. Game Freak has finally realized that Pokemon are capable of many other things other than just fighting. They showed signs of it in the third generation with Contests, but 9 whole new Minigames is just awesome.

HGSS will be on a much higher level than DPPl, and this guarantees that the fifth generation will be awesome.

If THE RED GYRADOS IS LV 30.... and lugia/ho oh is lv 45... which you get the silver/rainbow first in cianwood,

We've already seen the female character. She is not Kris. She looks vaguely similar, but she is not.

They are higher. Lugia and Ho-Oh were level 40 in the originals.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no way to get Extremespeed on Tauros except hacking. It cannot be learned via level-up, a TM, Move Tutor, nor breeding. A Tauros with such move isn't even given out in Wi-Fi.

@Wulava: there were rumors like... 7 pages ago about Whitney having a Tauros with Extremespeed. Rumors just like the Battle Frontier and Mewtwo.

anyway, it was mentioned by someone on 2ch when we were first getting info on corocoro today......and like every other game there has been there have been movepool changes so this is possible, just not confirmed
