Back I guess??
If this has been asked, please ignore it.........At the Battle Frontier,if your pokemon gets KO'd, will it start to dislike you even if it loves you? Like it will hurt itself in confusion too much?(Just curious...)
No, Frontier battles won´t modify Pokémon´s hapiness, and when a Pokémon is confused don´t matter it´s hapiness, the base damage dealt itself will be always the same (40)

What do you mean about a pink butterfree being shiny? In case you're wondering if butterfree is pink when it's shiny, but I think you already know that...

Really? I thought it depended in the Attack and Defense Stats of the confused Pokémon. That's why when a Pokémon gets confused with Swagger, the damage is higher than when afflicted with regular confusion.

I believe the pink Butterfree only pertains to the anime. I've seen pics of the shiny Butterfree in the game and they aren't pink.

It does use your pokemon's Atk and Def stats. It also uses the damage formula like any other attack does. In the damage formula, there is a variable for base power of the attack, and when a poke is confused, a power of 40 is used.

I didn't know defense was factored in. I always though it was just attack based.

Well, this has pretty much been answered, and it's going off topic from the original one. :p
