Hey everybody,I was thinking,How will be the service on-line of Wii in pokemon BR.Is obvious that we gonna can battle and trade on-line,but I think that we gonna can enter in a world MMORPG like Ragnarok or Tibia,We gonna meet in places of region or see many trayners in many roons and places, that's a good theory, but the region wold must be very big or have a limit of people like 1000,but can have many rooms like the picochat of DS.What's you think.

I doubt this game will be a MMORPG. If it was, they would've told us as soon as the news came out about it.

I think that WiiConect24 will only be used for the battles and maybe trades.

I think you'll be able to send trade and battle requests via the Wii. It would be sent to your friend's system via WiiConnect24.

< Is friggin awesome
I am a little confused on what the WiiConection 24 really is, does it connect over the internet through a broadband-enabled computer, or does it connect to the internet by itself like a cell phone?

But more on topic... I'm sure whatever multiplayer options BR has, it won't be too different from D/P's WiFi features.

The Wii connects to the internet through a modem. Your home computer does, too. The Wii can do this wirelessly OR through a cable. WiiConnect24 is a service Nintendo offers on the Wii. When you turn your Wii off, you're not really turning it off. You are putting it into sleep mode. In sleep mode, it turns off all parts of it except the bare essentials, therefore saving power. In the Wii, it will turn off such things as the GPU, for no graphics need to be drawn, and it turns off its sound unit. It sends very little power to the internet connection, wireless or not, and if it recieves an update, it updates itself. Yes, update. WiiConnect24 basically updates itself while it's "off". It does this with minimal power consumption.

To be accurate, the amount of energy it uses is about the same power as a small lightbulb. (Think more than a Lite-Brite one, but less than a normal one)

On-topic: I'd like something like what you do wirelessly to trade: post, sleep, get, ta-da!
