Well, I found a timid gastly, but I checked it's potential IV spread... Yuck. Sp Atk IV potential was somewhere between 1~5. Speed was from 24~28 though. Def and Sp Def were fairly decent, too. I'm working on catching another half dozen or so now to try again. Good thing I've still got a Butterfree around at level 28 for my catching needs!

I gave up on trying to find a 'good' Timid Gastly (after over 20 caught Gastly). Settled on a Hardy one with all-around decent potential IVs. Currently, I'm just bringing it up to speed in EV growth by fighting the engineers on route 11.

Yo dude, I suggest an Articuno as a team member. Its got decent stats, a wide movepool, and its typing makes it SUPER useful in the E4. I also like that u choose a haunter. Right on! I use haunter in my FR game and it makes a great special sweeper. And, its good speed makes it a decent sleeper. Hypnosis is supprisingly accurate. Lastly, as much as i HATE the fact that u dont want an electric type, I think if u get articuno u could have a good team. Later!!!

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, Articuno is good, but I've got Lapras. And usually, I dislike using 'Legendaries' for use against the E4 unless required. I did that back in RBY, after all, and ever since I wanted to not use 'em. I am considering using Zapdos however, later on.

Besides, what would Articuno replace? Lapras, I think. Nah, I think this particular thread's about done for at the moment. Other than figuring out what moves to give Haunter, I believe I've got my team looking decent for now. After the Elite 4, it'll be a piece of cake to get a few newer pokemon into the team... like Heracross, for instance. Just hope I can find a Jolly or Adamant one (I think I'd prefer Jolly).

Anyway, here's the latest list.

Venusaur lvl 49 (Lax)
Rhydon lvl 49 (Adamant)
Weezing lvl 49 (Sassy)
Lapras lvl 51 (Bashful)
Ninetales lvl 51 (Modest)
Haunter lvl 34 (Hardy)

Still working on that Haunter, of course...

Not that much of a wide movepool.

On Lance and maybe Bruno.

You call 60% accuracy "surprisingly accurate"?

Anyway, stick with Lapras. It can, with Thunderbolt and Ice beam, get rid of Lorelei and Lance, not to mention Bruno's Onix(s; can't remember if he had 1 or 2).

Eh, and who knows, maybe give Psychic on Haunter for Agatha and Bruno. =/

Bruno has 2. And thanks for the suggestion on Haunter. I think I'll go ahead and give it Psychic... Ack. On second thought, it's a female Haunter that I decided to go with. I'll hold off for now instead on the Psychic. I hate wasting TMs on pokemon that aren't gonna last until I have my final team.

well, with the Haunter, let it keep Hypnosis, DreamEater, and learn Nightmare. that combo has gotten my from the brink of death and has won me victory.

as for a psychic, I recently found that an Abra (raise it up alot) that has the three elemental punches helps some too. as it goes up in level, let it learn Psychic

Though it could be a bit more risky if you do that. There's a big possiblity if Hypnosis misses...

The elemental punches need to be breeded for Abra to get them.

That's very true about the elemental punches. If I could get them, I'd use 'em... but then, I don't have any way to trade over a bred Kadabra or anything at this time. Heck, if I could trade, I'd be better off with a Gengar instead of Haunter. Thanks again for the suggestions though.
