In Emerald, I have a Nincada that I perposly fainted so Zagzagoon could use Covet and steal items more frequently. But if I kill the pokemon, can I still get an item from it? Because I found a few Abra and I'm not sure if I can still steal the Twistedspoon from them. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

yes if you use an attack that steals items and hurts the opponent even if they faint you get the item. I have a thiefing butterfry, and 8 twistedspoons.

Be sure that you check your Zigzagoon for items. Since it has pickup, it may pick up items occasionally, and then it won't be able to steal anything.

I do that every time I killed the Abra...but I still have no Twistedspoons. x.x I have 8 Hard Stones though. Will it do the animation for the stolen item like always or will it just show the pokemon fainting and you have to just remember to check?

It will show you an animation of a bag coming to your pokemon once you steal an item.
