Crazy Rumors

Over the years, many different twists and turns have happened in the anime. There have also been many rumors about various people, places and things. What do you think are some of the craziest rumors you have ever heard about the Pokemon anime? I can remember a few:

-In Some Like it Hot, I thought Brock was going to capture Egan's Magcargo with his Heavy Ball.

-In Git Along, Little Pokemon, I thought Ash was going to capture #6, the Magneton.

-I remember before Johto began, I read several different episode guides on this one web site. They said the following would happen; Jessie was going to capture the Totodile from Don't Touch That Dile, Ash was going to capture the Hoothoot from Illusion Confusion and one of the Ledyba from The Whistle Stop, and that he would give Heracross to a student who was studying Pokemon in Tricks of the Trade.

-When I first saw the theme song to the Orange Islands saga, I thought that Tracey would be the one to capture Snorlax. This is because of that scene that shows Misty's Staryu, Ash's Snorlax and Ash's Charizard. Since they showed one of Misty's Pokemon and Ash's Charizard, I thought Tracey would get the Snorlax.

What are some other rumors you've heard that turned out to be completely false?

I still say the craziest rumor I've ever heard about the anime was some claptrap about how Pikachu has died at least five times in the Japanese version. Even wilder was the rumor about how there was a scene cut from the American version of the third movie that involved Pikachu's grisly death, followed by his rebirth as a Pichu.

I can only wonder how these things get started.

EDIT: Oh yeah, this thread has a topic! Um, I remember one fansite saying the subtitle for the Entei movie was going to be "The Final Movie". I was so worried the series was going to end after Johto, which I thought would be a year. You can imagine my confusion when a season has passed and Ash only has two Johto badges. XD

Tracey has a crush on Oak

Lorelei is Jessie's mother

Jessie and James are going to kiss each other in Orange Episodes

Ash and Misty are siblings.

i heard this rumour and it is still up on a dvd rental website (but they write it as fact! in the synopsis for the movie) anyway the rumour was That The Masked Maurader (or vicious wotever u call him) from the fourth Movie was the son of Jessie and James who had come back in time from the future.

Cyber will you ever make a post not trying to antagonize Misty fans? I've heard the Ash and Misty are siblings rumor; I find it intensely creepy. I actually read a fic once where Ash made out with May and found out she was his sister then killed her
