Crazy Speculation Which Came True?

Izit cuz I is black?
This is a thread idea which I've never seen, and I think it'll make for some interesting discussion. Is there anything which you always hoped would happen, and nobody else beliveved in, that turned out to be true?

One thing which I recently remembered was thinking during Johto that Brock would get a Sudowoodo and Ash would get Aipom and Donphan (this belief pre-dated Phanpy's birth). Somehow these all came true about five or six seasons later. Boy is that a set of coinkydinks!

A thought which I had back when Azurill was announced was that Tracey's Marrill might have a baby- boy, was I in for a surprise!

Other things which happened long after I gave up hope include Togepi and Onix's evolutions, as well as Mudkip's.

This is much more recent:

I was the first to state that Brock would catch Gregguru instead of Jessie or Ash.

And omg, it turned out to be true =0

Funny, from that very early Johto episode with Donphan in it, I predicted that Ash would get a Donphan at one point, and also that Borck would catch Sudowoodo, thought I, like you, also thought he'd do this in Johto with his Heavy Ball.

Do Ash and Misty still have their Fast Balls to use, same as Brock with his Heavy Ball? (Not that the writer's would use them, considering they technically don't exist anymore...)

The Great Butler

Hush, keep it down
He kinda has one, but he's never used it officially... has he?

He "borrowed" it from Forrest to battle TR in "Grating Spaces!"

Technically it was always his, but still.

I predicted that Shinji would battle Hyouta before Ash. Though I never stated it publicly. And look what happened! He battled Hyouta! :D

Come to think of it, I always thought that AG would culminate in a battle between Ash and May using Sceptile and Blaziken. And bugger me, it happened!

Thank you, SPPf! :)
I predicted that the hardcore Kanto fanbase still wouldn't shut up about their precious Misty, Pidgeot, Pokemon levels, "non-cheap battles", and "true character development" after 10 freaking years. Lo and behold, I was right.

Then again, that may not be "crazy" speculation.

Yeah, ok!

Heh, it really makes looking back at the start of AG with Ash and his Treecko and May and her Torchic and then the last episode of AG with their fully evolved forms as an example of the many things the writers did right in that series. The fact that May didn't even know how to battle at the start of the series with a clumsy Torchic that ran into trees compared to a girl who came in the Top 4 of the GF and was able to hold her own against Ash with one of his strongest Pokemon (Sceptile) at the very end of AG makes you realize how much the character has grown since her introduction.

That's why, despite the lackluster animation, I love that episode so much. Ash/Sceptile Vs. May/Blaziken was basically a fanservice battle just for the audience who started watching at the beginning of Hoenn.

Some people did kinda predict that May would eventually get a Blaziken by the end of her run, I just didn't think it would happen so soon.

i had that same prediction but... with an add on with brocks (what should be swampert but its a marshtomp sadly...) I thought that region all the starters would fully evolve... but sadly i was onlly half right

I didn't very openly guess, but I did think that Satoshi would use the Kanto starters in his final battle against Jindai. And I predicted the Aipom being a stolaway but that wasn't hard to figure out.

Grumpig

Exams already?!
I rightly predicted that Ash would only battle Regice in the final battle against Brandon, and not all the Regis (when everyone was "OMG! Ash can't defeat three legendaries in a row!"). :)

I thought Misty would come back, and she did. Sort of.

I thought I'd be happy with May going away and I'm right!

I thought the stickers on the pokeballs would be usefull in contests and I was partly right. IT jsut happened in the anime instaed of the games.

And people, ASH & MISTY NEVER HAD FAST BALLS!Only Lure Balls, unless i'm mistaken.
