Status Infliction Concepts

Bruised
Type associated with it: Fighting
Effect-The afflicted is unable to move 25% of the time. Their physical defense is lowered when bruised

Despondent
Type associated with it: Dark
Effect-The afflicted is unable to move 25% of the time. Their special defense is lowered when despondent

Unused Type Concepts

Spooktre and Phobossil, the Fright Pokemon
Name basis: Spook+spectre, Phobia+fossil
Type-Ghost (Spooktre), Ghost/Rock (Phobossil)
Ability-Intimidate (normal), Pickpocket (Hidden)
Evolution-Spooktre-Lv 28 during the night-Phobossil
Gender ratio-75% female, 25% male
Egg group-Undiscovered
Pokedex entry
  • "Spooktre are the ghosts of a child Pokemon that didn't want to move on. They like to spook people by wearing the fossilized bones of ancient Pokemon"
  • "Spooktre's origins are morbid, but they retain the innocence they had in life. They have a childlike sense of mischief"
  • "Phobossil can wield the power of the fossilized bones they wear. They mainly just use it to intimidate people into giving them treats"
  • "Phobossil love scaring adults, but they're quite protective and friendly with children. The bones they wear seem to remind them of when they were alive"
Basis: Spooktre is based off the concept of a trick or treater. Similar to how there's an implied relationship with Cubone and Kangashkhan, Spooktre is implied to be the ghost of either of them, via a gender ratio skewing to female (as Kangashkhan are an all-female species) and having the same evolution as Cubone. Spooktre wears the fossil skull of an Aerodactyl but with the jaw of a fossil Tyrantrum, and Phobossil has claws from a fossil Armaldo. It being in the Undiscovered egg group is a) for when they were kids and b) to keep up the idea they are the ghosts of Pokemon so breeding them wouldn't make much sense
Additional notes: Spooktre can learn Shadow Bone, a move previously exclusive to Alolan Marowak

Huskledy and Arcticanine, the Frosty Pup and Sled Dog Pokemon
Name basis: sled+husky, Arctic+canine
Type-Ice/Normal
Ability-Slush Rush/Fur Coat (normal), Stamina (Hidden)
Evolution-Huskledy-Lv 25-Arcticanine
Egg group-Field
Gender ratio-50/50
Pokedex entry
  • "Huskledy are a common sight in the (TBA) region and other snowy regions like it. They were domesticated to send messages across harsh winter conditions"
  • "Huskledy make great pets due to how affectionate they are, even if they drag snow into the house. They help with transportation"
  • "Arcticanine racing is a popular sport in the (TBA) region. They can go for 100 miles in subzero conditions without rest"
  • "Arcticanine are closely related to Arcanine; that's why they were given a similar name. They're even faster than their evolutionary cousins in a blizzard"
Basis: Huskledy is based off the sled dog/husky. Much like how Litleo being part Normal is because its a somewhat mundane/standard lion, Huskledy is your average sled dog that happens to live in icy environments. It is covered in snow like some sort of fur. The dex entry has a nod to their similarites to the original good boy
Additional notes: Huskledy is my idea for a regular dog for a region based on a colder environment like part of Scandinavia or Alaska, similar to Rockruff being Hawaiian-specific. Hence why the (TBA) region is being used

Bubblas, Chiceble and Titanethane, the Gas Pocket, Sealed Poison and Methane Pokemon
Name basis: bubble+gas, CH4+ice+bubble, methane+Titan
Type-Ice/Poison
Ability-Aftermath/Noxious (normal), Flare Boost (Hidden). Noxious has a chance of inflicting poison condition if a Pokemon with it uses a non-contact damaging move, or is hit by a non-contact damaging move
Evolution-Bubblas-Lv 25-Chiceble-Lv 41-Titanethane
Gender ratio-50/50
Egg group-Mineral
Pokedex entry
  • "They are formed from pockets of methane within ice. Bubblas appear to be related to Vanillite and Cryogonal"
  • "Bubblas showing up in lakes is an early indicator there's some sort of poisonous gas nearby. They rise up to collect snow"
  • "Chiceble have vents they can use to release poisonous gas at their opponents. They protect their fragile bodies by incorporating ice"
  • "Due to being mostly methane they're rather light for their size. Chicebale use their poisonous gases and cold embrace for predation"
  • "Though they superficially resemble snowmen, Titanethane suffocate anything within a 10 foot radius of themselves. They've been called "the Winter Menace" because of their cold, toxic gases"
  • "The inside of Titanmethane is cold enough that the methane in them is liquid, turning their ice exterior rock hard. There's an urban rumor that they've been found on a distant world's moon"
Basis: The Bubblas line is a variant of the snowman concept. It is based off methane pockets trapped in ice, and frozen bubbles. As it evolves, like the Vanillite line, it builds . Titanethane refers to the moon of Titan due to both the heavy methane presence and it being so cold it acts almost like the water cycle there

Cross-Gen Evolution Ideas

Charming Tune
Type-Psychic/Special
Atk-80
Acc-100
PP-15
Effect-This move has a chance of inflicting confusion. It is considered a sound-based move
Pokemon that can learn this move-Pokemon associated with sound, music and dance like Jigglypuff or Oricorio

Omniglot
Ability
Effect-If a sound-based move isn't the same type as the user, it will get a 50% attack bonus

Krikeitmotif, the Cricket Pokemon
Name basis: cricket+leitmotif
Type-Bug/Psychic
Ability-Omniglot (normal), Technician (Hidden)
Evolution: Kricketot-Lv 10-Kricketune-learn Charming Tune at Lv 32-Krikeitmotif
BST-514 (87 HP, 85 Atk, 51 Def, 115 Sp Atk, 51 Sp Def, 125 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • "Krikeitmotif are renowned for their beautiful, alluring songs. They put people into a trance, probably because their music is just that good"
  • "Krikeitmotif strum their exoskeleton to create the most wonderful melodies. Presumably people follow its directions because they're just that skilled"
Basis: This evolution of Kricketune takes inspiration from the Pied Piper, using music to control people. The implication is that even the Pokedex writer is being affected"

Parringuist, the Translator Pokemon
Name basis: parrot+linguist
Type-Psychic/Flying
Ability-Omniglot/Keen Eye (normal), Big Pecks (Hidden)
Evolution: Chatot-learn Charming Tune at Lv 32-Parringuist
BST-521 (76 HP, 45 Atk, 95 Def, 112 Sp Atk, 92 Sp Def, 101 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • "Unlike its pre-evolution, Parringuist can mimic multiple human languages with ease. They make great interpreters"
  • "Parringuist' enhanced brain lets them understand the meaning and context of whatever they hear. Historically they were domesticated by diplomats"
Basis: While still having some musical traits, it goes a step further in its ability to talk human languages by getting a job for lack of better words

Maraqactro, the Cactus Pokemon
Name basis: maraquero+cacto
Type-Grass/Psychic
Ability-Sand Veil/Chlorophyll (normal), Storm Drain (Hidden)
Evolution: Maractus-learn Charming Tune at Lv 32-Maraqactro
BST-511 (115 HP, 96 Atk, 67 Def, 106 Atk, 87 Sp Def, 40 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • "Annually they gather in bands to rhythmically shake like a maraca. The desert gets rain shortly afterwards"
  • "Maraqactro offer seeds with a high water content for lost travelers. They use their psychic abilities to find sources of water"
Additional notes: is meant to be a foil of sorts to the other cactus Pokemon, Cacnea, by having the Psychic type

Appearance: It appears very similarly to a Dunsparce, but with five segments instead of one. It is has five prongs under its mouth and five pairs of wings. Atop its head is a small blue crown-like appendage.

Legendary Duo Expansion

Mewthree, the Gene Coding Pokémon
Type-Psychic/Steel
Ability-Emergency Mode (reaches their Urgent Form if their HP drops below 50% maximum)
Gender ratio-Gender unknown
BST
  • Standard Form: 580 (130 HP, 70 Atk, 70 Def, 120 Sp.Atk, 120 Sp.Def, 70 Speed)
  • Urgent Form: 720 (130 HP, 80 Atk, 120 Def, 130 Sp.Atk, 130 Sp.Def, 130 Speed)
Pokedex entry (Standard Form)
  • “A synthetic organism derived from an ancient Mythical Pokémon. It is designed to store and preserve the DNA of any organism.”
  • “While Mewtwo was engineered to bring out its forebearer’s strength, Mewthree is designed to inherit its donor’s genetic preservation. Though mechanical, it has a digitized version of DNA.”
Pokedex entry (Urgent Form)
  • “In order to preserve the genetic storage of this Pokémon’s data systems, it will undergo a transformation. It coldly yet ruthlessly eliminates opponents.”
  • “In an emergency Mewthree takes a similar appearance to the first Mew clone. Its gene mapping is intended to be used to bring back extinct species”
Basis: My take on the Mewthree idea. Mewthree is a synthetic/mechanical replica of Mew as Mewtwo is a genetic modification. It is meant to represent genome mapping, genetic preservation to make it distinct, as it amplifies Mew’s status as holding the DNA of every Pokémon. Stat wise I made it both the weakest and strongest simultaneously since the existing two members have different BST.

Zazelow, the Warrior Pokemon
Name basis: Derived from “the yellow” and “za”. This is meant to parallel the Hero Duo’s naming as yellow is the remaining subtractive colour to Zacian (cyan) and Zamazenta (magenta)
Type-Dark (Base Form), Dark/Steel (TBA)
Ability-Devious Blade (boosts the user’s special attack upon being sent out to battle)
BST
  • Hero’s Traitor: 660 (92 HP, 120 Atk, 115 Def, 80 Sp Atk, 115 Sp Def, 138 Speed)
  • Crowned Spear: 700 (92 HP, 110 Atk 105 Def, 140 Sp Atk, 135 Sp Def, 118 Speed)
Pokedex entry (Hero’s Traitor)
  • “Records of Zazelow aiding Galar’s king were purged centuries ago. It absorbs metal and reshapes it into daggers.”
  • “Once a close friend of Zacian and Zamazenta, now this Pokemon lives in shadows. Until recently it was considered an urban legend”
Pokedex entry (Crowned Spear)
  • “There’re two theories on why this Pokemon was erased from history; that it was an arch-traitor, or that it served a rightful heir who also erased from history.”
  • “Its Pragmatic Spear can reach and pierce through any foe. It returned to clear its name, but why nobody knows”.
Signature Move: Behemoth Shot. It is a Steel type, Special moves with 100 Attack, 100% accuracy and 5 PP. If Dynamax is ever reintroduced, it would do double damage against Pokemon in Dynamax mode.
Basis: Zazelow is an expansion of the Hero Duo. Zazelow is based off Mordred, and either King Arthur’s dagger (in base form) or spear (in Crowned Spear form). Much as how the reason for Mordred’s treachery and morality depends on the version of Arthurian legend, it is made ambiguous whether Zazelow was a treacherous villain like thought of in-universe or unfairly vilified, akin to Ogerpon. Zazelow holds a Rusted Spear to achieve its full potential.

Ability Buffs

Basically abilities that are pretty lackluster or detrimental I think need improvement
  • Slow Start: While I'd rather get rid of it, instead I would have it that for the five turns that physical attack and speed is halved, they get added to Regigigas' physical and special defense respectively. That way it acts as more of an alternate playstyle than a detriment for a mon that's intended to be overpowered. So Slow Start Regigigas' BST would look like this: 110 HP, 80 Atk, 190 Def, 80 Sp.Atk, 160 Sp.Def, 50 Speed. The counter wouldn't be reset by being sent back, but it will freeze so you can't recall Regigigas, wait four more turns and bring it back out
  • Stall: Now makes it so that a Pokemon with Stall always hits last, but will never miss regardless of any Protect-based move, ability that might nullify the move or accuracy. In other words, retooled to be a juiced up No Guard but with the inability to functionally use your Speed stat as the price to pay
  • Magma Armor: Asides from prevent Freeze or Frostbite, it'd also make the user immune to Water type attacks. But to prevent it being too OP, being hit by a Water type attack will always carry a 30% chance of flinch. This reasoning is that a Pokemon with Magma Armor is so hot the water would evaporate before hitting them, but that steam would get in the way of vision and might distract them from attacking
  • Normalize: Buffed so that while all moves become Normal type, the user's Normal type moves will ignore all resistances and immunities. Meaning that Normal type moves used by a Pokemon with Normalize will hit Ghost, Steel and Rock types for neutral damage instead of none/half damage
New Status Conditions

For reference, these are the types I feel are represented by status infliction
  • Normal: Sleep, Infatuation
  • Fire: Burn
  • Ice: Freeze, Frostbite
  • Electric: Paralyzed
  • Poison: Poisoned, Badly Poisoned
  • Psychic: Confusion

Terrified and Mystified
Type associated with: Dragon and Fairy respectively
Type of status-Non volatile
Effect-The afflicted has a 25% chance of being unable to move. Terrified drops physical attack and Mystified drops special defense
Basis: These status conditions are meant to act as counterparts to the Paralyzed status. However they drop a different stat. They're the "unable to move" equivalents to Burn and Frostbite

Dissident
Type associated with: Dark
Type of status: Volatile
Effect-The afflicted has a 50% chance of attacking an ally (or a 25% chance of doing nothing in solo battles). This effect lasts 2-4 turns
Basis: Dissident is meant to be a parallel to the Attract and Confused status conditions. I thought for the "evil" type it should make the afflicted more likely to "betray" you
Additional notes: Bite and Crunch now have the same chance of inflicting this status as Fire/Thunder/Ice Fang do their status conditions

Pestered
Type associated with: Bug
Type of status: Volatile
Effect-The afflicted loses 1/8th max HP each turn, and a 25% chance of ignoring commands. This effect lasts 2-4 turns.
Basis: This is meant to incorporate elements of confusion and infatuation, but made impermanent so as to not be too broken. Asides from basically suffering the Infestation effect, dealing with all those annoying bugs is bound to distract the afflicted

Bruised
Type associated with: Fighting
Type of status: Volatile
Effect-The afflicted takes a quarter recoil damage from all moves. This doesn’t stack on moves that already do recoil and ignores the effects of Reckless and Rock Head. This effect lasts 2-4 turns.
Basis: Unlike Dissident I felt being bruised would be a bit more unique

All In One

Ability: Expertise
Effect: A hybrid of Protean and Steelworker. Instead of changing type, when a Pokemon with Expertise uses a type other than its own, they will get a 50% boost. This status remains for the rest of the battle

The Palette Crown: A special evolutionary item. Instead of simply finding it, you go to someone to make the crown by doing tasks related to different Pokemon types.

Varyeon, the Applicable Pokemon
Name basis: Vary+eon
Type-Normal
Ability: Expertise
Form change: Varyeon has different forms depending on its dominant stat due to nature as an Eevee. If physical attack or defence is dominant Varyeon will be in its Beefy Form, if special attack or defence is dominant Varyeon will be in its Plucky Form and if HP, speed, or no stat is dominant Varyeon will be in its Swifty Form
BST: 525
  • Beefy Form: 85 HP, 120 Atk, 120 Def, 60 Sp.Atk, 65 Sp.Def, 70 Speed
  • Plucky Form: 60 HP, 70 Atk, 60 Def, 120 Sp.Atk, 120 Sp.Def, 95 Speed
  • Swifty Form: 120 HP, 95 Atk, 60 Speed, 70 Sp.Atk, 60 Sp. Def, 120 Speed
Evolution: Eevee-Use a Palette Crown when Eevee is Level 23 or higher-Varyeon
Pokedex entry
  • “The Palette Crown has managed to stabilize this Pokémon’s genetic code. However, its appearance still varies depending on its personality.”
  • “Named Varyeon because of its various capabilities, beyond most Normal types. Encoded in its DNA is the ability to access any other type”.
Basis: Varyeon is my take on a Normal type Eevelution. The idea is that this is Eevee’s natural evolution when cured of its genetic instability. At the same time, it acts as a sort of compromise between all the different Eeveelutions. There is a slight rainbow motif as Varyeon has gems embedded in its fluff that are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The level required to evolve is reference to the 23 pairs of chromosomes humans have, furthering the genetic theme.

Regimagna, the Titan Pokemon
Name basis: Regis (Latin for royal)+Magna (Latin for large)
Type-Normal
Ability-Expertise
BST-530 (70 HP, 110 Atk, 70 Def, 100 Sp Atk, 70 Sp Def, 110 Speed)
Evolution: Regimagna-Use the Palette Crown-Regigigas
Pokedex entry
  • “Nicknamed “The Craftsman Prince” for its ability to craft material out of any element. Though it has great strength, its stamina is poor.”
  • “It’s rare for more than one Regimagna to be born in a human lifeform. In one swift but exhaustive pull, they move landmasses miles away.”
Basis: Regimagna is a pre-evolution of Regigigas who acts a prince, of sorts, to the king that is Regigigas. This is why it evolves via the Palette Crown; Regimagna must earn its evolution by hard work. I made it just 10 BST shy of Regigigas’ effective BST when under the effects of Slow Start, and more energetic than its evolution as is. The Pokedex entries are meant to justify why it will suffer from Slow Start as it evolves; stamina issues.

Regigigas (Emperor Form)
Type-Normal
Ability-Expertise
BST-670 (110 HP, 160 Atk, 80 Def, 100 Sp.Atk, 80 Sp.Def, 140 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • “Through its royal regalia, Regigigas can access its full potential and then some. It can create life from any material.”
  • “The Titan Emperor was feared by man, so its crown was stolen and locked away. The strength and stamina in this state is immeasurable.”
Held item: Titan’s Crown
Basis: Emperor Form Regigigas emphasizes its kingly traits, as the creator and leader of the other Regis. Now more active it loses the moss growing over it and is decked out in a way that emphasizes royalty, combined with the Titan’s Crown item visible on its head.

Nerf

Hidden Power: Not so much a nerf to the move itself, but I think it could return so long as they limit it to specific Pokemon. It would work the same as it did in Gen VII and be changed to Psychic type. It would now be capable of every type, including Normal, Fairy and Psychic

Pokemon that can learn Hidden Power naturally: Unown, Suicune, the Lake and Creation Trios, Arceus, Silvally
Pokemon that can learn Hidden Power via TM or some other artificial means: The Cleffa, Eevee, Porygon, Natu, Stantler, Munna, Elgyem, Zorua lines, Ho-oh, Lunatone and Solrock, Sableye, Deoxys, Bronzong, Dusknoir, Rotom, Regigigas, Sigilyph,, Mimikyu, all Ultra Beasts, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Marshadow, Orbeetle, Eternatus, Meowscarada, the Swords of Ruin, Terapagos, Pecharunt

Ghost-Type Master
New Type: Virus

Something I feel should have joined the franchise many years ago is the Virus type. It is a typing that I feel connects the dots to a lot of Pokémon, as it covers the one area of life Pokémon hasn't touched: bacteria & pathogens. There are literally billions of bacteria species in the world and millions of viruses, and both humans and animals have been impacted by them. Naturally, the Pokémon universe would be impacted by them as well.

The Virus type would also cover the concept technological corruption. Electronics can also carry and spread viruses, to other electronics, and this would be a great foundation for creating new Pokémon. Personally, I've always felt Porygon-Z should be Normal/Virus.

The Virus type would have effectiveness and weaknesses based around the concept of infection and healing. Types that would be prone to infection would be weak against the Virus type while types associated healing and curing ailments would be super effective against it.

TYPE EFFECTIVENESS

OFFENSE
(super effective against)
2.0x
Normal, Fighting, Flying, Psychic, Steel
0.5x

It feels a bit too derivative of Poison. That said I'm not sure what the name and identity of a good future type would be. However I do imagine the next type will be used to nerf OP types and buff diminished types. So something that Ice resists, Bug and Psychic are generally good at, Fairy and Steel are generally poor against. No idea what would have a logical reason for that while also not being too niche a concept to implement or subtract too much from an existing type

I have the idea for a "Keldeo" archetype for mythicals. Basically a mythical meant to be the secret extra member of a legendary group. Here's one example

Weykai, the Language Pokemon
Name basis: we, yokai.
Type-Psychic
Ability-Resonance (if the ally has the same type as a Pokemon with Resonance their dominant stat increases by one when set out in battle. This ability is cancelled out if the ally also has Resonance)
Gender ratio-Gender unknown
BST-580 (75 HP, 70 Atk, 75 Def, 125 Sp.Atk, 125 Sp.Def, 130 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • “Dubbed “The Being of Language”. It taught humans how to communicate and give form to grand ideas.”
  • “Seeing the violence of man sent this legendary into a sad exile. It robs wicked souls of their ability to be understood.”
Basis: Weykai is a younger sibling of the Lake Guardians. It is meant to act as a Keldeo equivalent; a mythical Pokemon that used to live in Sendoff Springs and requires the others to show up along with an event item. While the other Lake Guardians take inspiration from the three sacred treasures, Weykai is based off the Imperial seal of Japan (so sun-themed head). Its head is green and instead of the blue body becoming yellow/gold when shiny, it becomes red.

I also have concepts for abilities (not necessarily signature) I wanna share
  • Humiliate: A special counterpart to Intimidate. It causes the opposing side's special attack to drop by one stage when this Pokemon is brought out
  • Copyright: The user's abilities, moves and stat changes cannot be copied by the opponent. So moves like Transform or Mirror Move are disabled (and if that Pokemon can't use any other moves they will resort to Struggle), abilities like Trace don't do anything, ect
  • Boiler Engine: The user's Fire type attacks aren't weakened by rain, and Water type attacks aren't weakened by sun. Something I imagine would be convenient for future Water/Fire types
  • Burnt Wrath and Frosted Wrath: The user's physical and special attack are boosted when afflicted by burn and frostbite respectively, rather than weakened
  • Wing Shield and Super Chitin: The user's Flying and Bug type weaknesses are not taken in effect. Basically this is like a personal, not as flashy Delta Stream and its meant to help out Pokemon with some crippling weaknesses, mainly the common Bug/Flying combination
  • Voltage: An Electric type equivalent to the starter abilities, given Electric is the closest thing to a fourth starter type. Boosts Electric attacks if at 1/3rd or less HP
  • Bad Miasma: A Poison Touch variation that activates via special moves
  • Frosty: Has a chance of causing Frostbite
  • Flycatcher. A Bug type counterpart to Water Absorb. If the user is hit by a Bug type they will heal instead
  • Channeler: A Ghost type counterpart of Lightningrod. If the user is hit by a Ghost type their speed will increase. This is an ability I could see some Psychic and Ghost types benefiting from, especially if we see some non-legendary Psychic/Ghost Pokemon since it'd take care of one crippling weakness (on another note among other buffs I think Bug should do neutral against Ghost)
Here are also Pokemon with only one ability I could see giving more, excluding legendary and legendary-adjacent Pokemon
  • Gastly line: Bad Miasma. They're poisonous gas beings
  • Misdreavus line: Intimidate. They're described as loving to spook people
  • Vibrava and Flygon: Sand Stream. Flygon's dex entries say that it whips up sandstorms
  • Baltoy line: Spinning Sweep. Its signature ability, that acts as a passive Rapid Spin where bringing this Pokemon out removes entry hazards
  • Chimecho: Wind Rider. Chimecho is a chime that of course functions thanks to the wind
  • Carnivine: Flycatcher. This would also be an ability it shares with the Bellsprout line, reflecting their status as carnivorous plants
  • Rotom: Power Adaptor. This is a signature ability to serve as Rotom's Hidden Ability and signature ability. If the user's secondary typing is changed moves of that original type are converted into its new secondary type. This ability cannot be copied
  • Cryogonal: Ice Body. Its described as being born from ice and snow and can grow from it
  • Turtonator: Aftermath. It is associated with bombs and explosives
Also, here's some buffs on types that might be good
  • Ice: Give it a resistance to Electric and Fairy. Fairy is overpowered as is and I thought it could be taken down a peg. Electric because Ice is a poor conductor and this helps out the most common type combination with Ice+makes it and Water more distinct
  • Rock: It suffers kind of an identity crisis by being the weaker, less potent Ground. I think they could have them no longer share one of their weaknesses, that being Water (giving Grass an edge in beating both similar types). Also have it resist Ground instead, due to their similarities and Ground is already eating well
  • Bug: It actually has fair defensive properties, but it's the offensive part which it falls flat. I think Fairy should be weak to it instead in order to balance it and like Steel and Poison, this gives it a much-needed offensive niche. I also think that Ghost and Flying should no longer resist it. Flying, well there are plenty of bugs capable of flight and it's less justifiable to me than Fighting (which would find fliers a harder target) or Grass (which is on the Ground).

I think this is necessary now:

Zygarde (Core Form)
Type
: Dragon/Ground
Classification: Core Pokémon
Height: 1' (0.2 m)
Weight: 0.5 lbs. (0.2 kg)
Gender: Genderless
Dex Entry 1: Zygarde at its most basic form. This incarnation is incredibly weak and has almost no offensive capabilities. However, it is not defenseless.
Dex Entry 2: When Zygarde lacks even a single cell, it takes this form. To preserve itself, it coats its body in a film that resists most damage.

Appearance:

Etymology: N/A

Ability: Construct Guard: The Pokémon can only be attacked every other turn.

The Anti-Arceus

Ovoid, Nullmon and Alphaos the Antecosmic, Dimensionless and Chaos Pokemon
Name basis: ovoid (egg-shaped, contains void), null and Pokemon (Nullmon), alpha and chaos (Alphaos)
Type-Void. Void is a unique type that only the TBA line can have. Interaction wise it does neutral and takes neutral damage from all types but is hit for super-effective damage by other Void type attacks. Pokemon with Void cannot have their ability copied, no Pokemon that is not a Void type can use the move. The singular exception to this is Arceus, who is the only other Pokemon that can use Void type moves. The ability of a Pokemon with the Void type cannot be suppressed in any fashion whatsoever. They ignore all effects of terrain and weather moves
Ability
  • Ovoid: Void Shell (the user changes form upon reaching Level 30)
  • Nullmon: Void Offense (the user gets 50% attack bonus on moves of the first type it uses in battle)
  • Alphaos: Void Offense (Offensive Form)/Void Defence (Defensive Form, same type attack bonus on enemy opponents is cancelled)
Gender ratio-Gender unknown
Egg group-Undiscovered
BST
  • Ovoid: 360 (60 HP, 60 Atk, 60 Def, 60 Sp Atk, 60 Sp Def, 60 Speed)
  • Ovoid (Shell Form)-493 (60 HP, 100 Atk, 100 Def, 100 Sp.Atk, 100 Sp.Def, 33 Speed)
  • Nullmon: 580 (100 HP, 95 Atk, 95 Def, 95 Sp.Atk, 95 Sp.Def, 100 Speed)
  • Alphaos (Offensive Form): 720 (120 HP, 160 Atk, 80 Def, 160 Sp Atk, 80 Sp.Def, 120 Speed)
  • Alphaos (Defensive Form): 720 (120 HP, 80 Atk, 160 Def, 80 Sp.Atk, 160 Sp.Def, 120 Speed)
Evolution: Ovoid-Lv 47-Nullmon-Lv 75-Alphaos. It is random as to whether Alphaos will emerge in its Offensive or Defensive Form. Evolution wise this is a nod to both the Creation Trio as encountered in the game they were box art, and Arceus as encountered in Legends Arceus

Signature moves: Alongside Arceus, Ovoid is the only line that can learn Void type moves.
  • Void Shard: A 40 Atk, 100 Acc, 40 PP physical move. Has an increased chance of causing flinch. Known at Level 1 by Ovoid and Arceus
  • Void Shout: A 40 Atk, 100 Acc, 40 PP special move. Has an increased chance of causing flinch. Known at Level 1 by Ovoid and Arceus
  • Void Shift: A status move known at Level 20 by Ovoid and Level 23 by Arceus that clears entry hazards.
  • Void Tear: A 70 Atk, 100 Acc, 15 PP physical move. Has an increased chance of causing a critical hit. Known at Level 30 by Ovoid and Level 33 by Arceus
  • Void Scream: A 70 Atk, 100 Acc, 15 PP special move. Has an increased chance of causing confusion. Known at Level 30 by Ovoid and Level 33 by Arceus
  • Void Sweep: A status move known at Level 35 by Ovoid and Level 40 by Arceus that removes weather and terrains.
  • Void Wrath: A 130 Atk, 90 Acc, 5 PP physical move known at Level 47 by Nullmon and Level 55 by Arceus that lowers the user’s physical attack after usage.
  • Void Blast: A 130 Atk, 90 Acc, 5 PP special move known at Level 47 by Nullmon and Level 55 by Arceus that lowers the user’s special attack after usage.
  • Void Shield: A protect variant only known by Nullmon and Alphaos if at Level 55 that makes the user immune to the first type that tried to hit it when using this move.
  • Cataclysmic Chaos: A 250 Atk, 100 Acc, 5 PP physical move known by Alphaos alone at Level 75 that causes the user to faint.
  • Complete Chaos: A special move known by Alphaos alone at Level 75 that acts the same was as one hit KO moves traditionally do.
Associated items
  • Chaos Egg: A key item that lets Alphaos change form.
  • Void Plate: A held item that increases the power of Void-type moves. If
Pokedex entry (Ovoid)
  • “Before there was anything, there was an incomprehensible chaos. Ovoid is a piece of that chaos given life.”
  • “This fragment of the infinite void gained life on a piece of the Original One’s eggshell. Its typing has never been seen before.”
  • Shell Form Ovoid: “This entity is not a true Pokemon, merely taking the attributes of one. It does this to even exist in our universe.”
Pokedex entry (Nullmon)
  • “The realm this being was spawned from is both unending and nothing. This Pokemon defies description.”
  • “This is a being created from the Original One’s tumbling from chaos unending to an ordered cosmos. It is curious about where the Alpha Pokemon went off to.”
Pokedex entry (Alphaon)
  • Overall Pokedex: “This is the incarnated will of the void before creation. It shaped its form from the Original One.”
  • Offensive Form: “Before creation, the Original One had to overcome the primal incarnation of this being. Once more it manifests, now as a Pokemon.”
  • Defensive Form: “Beyond true understanding, outside of space and time. This being distorts reality around it simply by existing”
Basis: The Ovoid is meant to be a sort of “anti-Arceus”. It embodies the primordial chaos and void that Arceus’ egg emerged from. The lore is that this is a piece of the chaos that gained a form and manifested into reality, by embedding itself into the remains of Arceus’ own egg. Ovoid starts as a wispy spirit resembling egg yolk and white that becomes an egg-like shield/capsule, referencing the cosmic egg. Nullmon has an amorphous, quadrupedal body that’s a nod to Hundun. The monstrous final form is a two-headed, vaguely draconic creature that slightly resembles Arceus. The animation of Alphaos has glitchy visuals showing up intentionally to show how otherworldly and out of place it is.

Personally I would prefer Ledian get an outright evolution

Ledialor, the Several Star Pokemon
Name basis: ladybug, Valor.
Type-Bug/Flying
Ability-Brave Spirit (normal), Iron Fist (Hidden). Brave Spirit boosts the power of moves the user uses on Pokemon who’s type has an offensive advantage over them by 30%. For example, Ledialor’s attacks would do 30% more damage to Rock, Fire, Flying, Electric and Ice types.
Evolution: Ledyba-18-Ledian-Learn Starfall at 36-Ledialor
Move: Starfall. A Flying/Special, 90 Atk, 85 Acc 15 PP move which has a chance of causing the opponent to be confused. It is learned by Pokemon associated with stars, and outer space.
BST-505 (55 HP, 95 Atk, 50 Def, 95 Sp Atk, 110 Sp Def, 100 Speed)
Pokedex entry
  • “Dubbed “the Star-Studded Hero”, they’re possessed by a heroic spirit. Rumor has it they are descended from heroic extraterrestrials.”
  • “Often stars in super sentai because of their generally heroic nature. The energy of the stars gives them courage to best foes who have an advantage over them.”
Basis: This evolution of Ledian takes inspiration from alien heroes in Japan like Ultraman. I gave it an ability that can let it make up for its type weaknesses, to embody the concept of heroic determination.

Starter Regional Variants

I'm probably (hopefully) gonna be contradicted by this when Legends Z-A drops, as I imagine they want to fill one of the two gaps left by starter forms

Meganium Regional Variant
Type-Grass/Rock
Ability-Overgrow (normal), Rough Skin (Hidden)
Evolution-Unchanged
Pokedex entry
  • “The harsher desert environment has made Meganium tougher and more aggressive in the TBA region. They channel their prehistoric ancestor’s nature.”
  • “TBA Meganium have strong water reserves that make them targeted by thirsty desert dwellers. Their harsh, spiky skin is meant to dissuade predators.”
Basis-The concept I have for a regional variant of Meganium, Emboar and Primarina is one for a region based off California, though probably with some nearby states like Nevada. This Meganium emphasizes the dinosaur traits more and has a “wild west” theme. The Rock type comes from both it being more dinosaur themed and living in more arid conditions. The plant it is modelled off a prickly pear cactus, as a nod to how Chikorita took inspiration from a regular pear.

Emboar Regional Variant
Type-Fire/Steel
Ability-Blaze (normal), White Smoke (Hidden)
Evolution-Unchanged
Pokedex entry

  • “In the TBA region Emboar are more helpful and use their fire to work steel. Their tusks and claws are made from a heat-resistant metal.”
  • “This Pokemon uses its heat and strength to bend metal into all kinds of shape. They can separate metal from ore as efficiently as possible.”
Basis-This Emboar is more of a working man. Its typing brings to mine steelworkers and people working in on an iron mill. It represents the construction of urban environments in California.

Primarina Regional Variant
Type-Water/Ice
Ability-Torrent (normal), Icy Voice (Hidden). Icy Voice converts sound-based moves to Ice type.
Evolution-Unchanged
Pokedex entry
  • “Primarina of the TBA region have a cold, detached demeanour. They compete against one another with sonnets.”
  • “Known as songstress, their songs are even more beautiful than their Alolan counterparts. They feel a lot lonelier, though, even in a crowd”.
Basis-Primarina retains its singer and opera inspiration, but with more focus of the celebrity culture in the Californian region. The Ice type is symbolic of the “ice queen” trope, the aloof socialite, along with being literal in how pinnipeds are usually found in cold regions.

Mega Cloyster
- Mega Evolves from Cloyster with Cloysterite
Type: Water/Ice
Classification: Bivalve Pokémon
Height: 9' (2.7 m)
Weight: 151 lbs. (68.5 kg)
Gender: 50% Male, 50% Female

Dex Entry 1: Its shell has tripled in size, creating an impenetrable fortress for its body. However, the weight is unbearable.
Dex Entry 2: Nothing can penetrate its massive shell. Even a missile fired at full force would fail to make a dent.

Appearance: Cloyster's purple shell is now three-times the size it was before, with dozens of new pins bulging out. Its smile has become a frown, due to the shell's crushing weight.
Etymology: N/A

Ability: Ultra Guard - Physical and Special damage dealt to this Pokémon is reduced.
- Additional Info: This ability lowers damage from Physical and Special attacks by 33%. Damage from status, weather, secondary effects and items remains the same. This ability cannot be swapped or suppressed, but it can be negated by Infiltrator.

Base Stats
HP: 50

Well given all the conversation regarding Ledian.

New Pokemon
Liedyba
Type-Flying
Ability- Infiltrator/Early Bird
Hidden ability- Insectivorous

Stats-
HP-40
Attack-20
Special Attack-40
Defence-30
Special Defence- 80
Speed-55
Total- 265

1-Peck
1- Sweet Scent
5- Supersonic
12- Tailwind
12- Bug Bite
12- Defog
15- Vacuum Wave
18- Roost
22- Struggle Bug
36- Air Slash

Dex Entry 1 - At a young age Liedyba infiltrate the swarms of Ledyba using scents it can release allowing for an easy deception. Some will infiltrate for years learning the swarms movement patterns and vulnerability.

Dex Entry 2- While it would seem obvious that the Avian Liedyba is not an insect, Ledyba seem to struggle to identify this fact. Some theorise that they are aware of the deception and simply are too scared to challenge the infiltrator.

New Pokemon
Liedian
Type-Flying
Ability- Infiltrator/ Adaptability
Hidden ability- Insectivorous
Evolves from Liedyba at level 18 with a Ledyba (or Ledian) in the party

Stats-
HP-55
Attack- 5
Special Attack- 110
Defence- 30
Special Defence- 85
Speed-105
Total- 390

1-Peck
1- Sweet Scent
5- Supersonic
12- Tailwind
12- Bug Bite
12- Defog
15- Vacuum Wave
18- Roost
22- Struggle Bug
29- Baton Pass
33- Nasty Plot
36- Air Slash
42- Hurricane

Dex Entry 1 - Upon evolution Liedian will predate from within swarms of Ledian and Ledyba. However some are so good at the deception that they can do so while not alerting the swarm

Dex Entry 2- Liedian is a Pokemon well known for deception. However there is some evidence that it's presence within a swarm can largely be beneficial as it only predates the weakest members of the swarm and helps ward off certain predators like Scyther.

New ability-
Insectivorous- Supereffective moves do 50% extra damage when used against bug types.

Appearance- Looks like bird but with features so from above they look similar to Ledyba and Ledian.

Note- Inspired by the fact that Coccinellidae are in the UK are commonly known as Ladybirds (instead of Ladybugs as some other areas use). Taking the bird part literally.

Dex Entry 1: The energy from Mega Evolution poured into its egg, activating its hidden blessing. Chansey is now surrounded by an impenetrable shield of light.
Dex Entry 2: The newly discovered power in its egg protects it from harm. The warming glow of the light can soothe even the evilest of souls.

Appearance:

Here's an Attract counterpart

Petrified
Type associated with: Rock.
Type of status: Volatile
Effect-The afflicted has a 50% chance of not moving per turn.
Additional note: The move to inflict this, Petrification, is a 50% accuracy, 20 PP move whose accuracy cannot be lowered or increased by the ability, item or move of the ally’s or opponent’s. This is to match how a move as broken as Attract is balanced by only affecting one of the three gender options (or fail if used by a genderless Pokemon)

Here is also my concept for a Mega Blissey
Type-Normal/Fairy
Ability-Filter
Mega Stone-Blissite
BST-640 (255 HP, 10 Atk, 110 Def, 100 Sp Atk, 135 Sp Def, 30 Speed)

Yes

I need to restructure this, if that's okay. I need to make sure I'm reading this correctly:

Petrification
Type: Rock
Category: Status
Power: none
Accuracy: 50
PP: 20
Description: The user petrifies the target, making it less likely to attack.
- Additional Info: The move inflicts the volatile status effect 'Petrified,' which gives the target a 50% chance of being immobile every turn.

Would you say this explanation is correct?

I instead see it as a Rock-type variant of Soak, in that it will change the target's type to pure Rock like how Soak changes the target's type to pure Water.

Buzzing Wings-(electric) Special- 5pp- 80BP- Instead of special attack stat this move uses speed stat (similar to body press)

Dex entry 1- In Kalos when a Vullaby evolves it adapts to variable seasons by increasing its natural bioelectricity. Some speculate that the buzz in Mandibuzz comes was named from this form in the past though that is not confirmed.

Dex Entry 2- Due to the presence of fast fliers in the Kalos reason this new form is good at using electricity to chase them off.
