CRITICAL HIT!
Whessrun Gym Battle!

Now at the bottom of the Gale Canyon you find yourself at the enterance of Geonyon City the site of your next Gym Battle.

Geonyon City -The city is famous for the fact that its never known life without wind. Sreiously the city is always very windy. Thats why most houses are either carved into the face of the canyon or have many underground housing projects.

Oh and while were here why not challenge the Gym Leader, Clayton?

GYM LEADER Clayton-''Might is right, brains are lame!''(AKA ''We'll ground you!'')

The gym itself is very straight forward just step on certain panels to raise wall pannels to get to the next area(3 in total) and eventually fight Clayton.

Gym Trainers
Cowboy-Digglet, Nidorino
Cowgirl-Digglet, Nidorina
Hiker-Numel, Numel, Gligar
Youngster-Trapinch
Gentelman-Phanpy, Ryhorn
Twins(Male)-Cubone, Cubone

Gym Leader Clayton-Nidoking, Donphan, Marowak

I know three fully evolved pokemon but fortunatley they all have relativley weak attacks like Tackle, Headbutt etc...and they are all severely weak to water attacks but dont for a second think that they are gonna be easy...

Rewards-Valley Badge and TM 28-Dig along with a Seal Case that Vannesa(A future battle) gave him when they dated.

A quick note here, Clayton and Vannesa are both my favorite Gym Leaders and I just had a fun time thinking of the concept of them going out and everything...sigh...I need to draw them out but damn school work is preventing me from doing so!

Ah well....

Donw with CIPHET!
Pokémon Quartzite

Yep, we're back... after a hiatus that felt a lot shorter than I'm sure it was. Exams really blow, eh? But any way the wind blows, we've created four more entries for Quartzite. I hope to get the official Quartzite site/forum running sometime in March, so don't worry, this will probably be one of the last entries you'll have to listen to here. :)

By popular request, we have added some evolutions and pre-evos of original characters to our Dex. Voila:

Tongle Q-126
Baby form of Pinsir
Species: Larva Pokémon
Colour: Gray
Egg Group: Cannot Breed
It hurls its prey using the two tong-like horns on its head that have not yet matured into pincers.

Drigible Q-159
Evolves from: Drifblim at Level 37
Species: Zeppelin Pokémon
Colour: Purple
Egg Group: Indeterm
Immortal and unconstrained, they have drifted, vanishing and reappearing, for all time.

Pompelix Q-176
Evolves from: Magcargo with Fire Stone
Species: Inner Core Pokémon
Colour: Yellow
Egg Group: Indeterm
Its pressure-hardened shell and yellowish glow are caused by hot iron and nickel from the Earth's core.

Prani Q-245
Baby form of Jirachi (NOTE: Like Phione/Manaphy, Prani will NOT evolve back into Jirachi.)
Species: Wish Pokémon
Colour: Yellow
Egg Group: Cannot Breed
It intercedes in people's day-to-day lives and does not take care of great desires or longings.

Also, we've got the new city names for the map of Hunoz. I've never taken Greek before (I was looking these up in a dictionary), so please don't get too harsh on me if the names are spelled wrong.
Nostos City - Your character and his/her rival live here. Name is Greek for Home.
Erga Town - Professor Cherry's lab is here. This is where you obtain the egg that hatches into your starter. Name is Greek for Work because you start your work as a trainer here.
Kiko Town - The first gym (Reggie, Normal type) is here. Name is from the Greek for Circle because it connects full-circle to most of the routes in the region.
Cantor City - The second gym (Nadia, Fire type) is here. Name is from the Greek for Centre because it is in the central part of the region.
Asteric City - This is the capital of Hunoz. The Ziggurat Corporation headquarters are here, along with the third gym (Gertrude, Ground type). Name is Greek for Star and is not to be confused with Asterisk.
Russ Town - This is an unimportant rural town. Your character shuts down a Team Vaisseau base just outside of here. Name is Latin for Country or Rural area.
Kelia City - The fifth gym (Florian, Grass type) is here, but it doesn't open until the second time you visit the town. Name is Greek for Valley because it is between the mountains.
Taffer Town - The fourth gym is here (Marinus, Water type) along with the museum of the ancient civilizations of the region. Name is from the Greek for Tomb because it is near the ancient tombs.
Litus City - The Game Corner and the headquarters of the Dan Clan are here. Name is Latin for Beach because it is on the water.
Nydos Town - This is the last town you will visit before the Elite Four. The town is divided into two parts, East Nydos (where most of the residents live) and West Nydos (where the Elite Four is), separated by Victory Road. Name is from a mix of the Greek words for Victory and Road, for obvious reasons.

I'll be back on here Saturday with a more detailed overview of the map. Stay tuned. Meanwhile, to close with something less detailed.

New Move: Fortress
Type: Rock
Category: User
PP: 10

Those actually sound pretty cool. Do you have any concept art?

And Peatree reminds me of The Land Before Time, or at least the name does.

Yeah, I do have some concept art, but I don't have a scanner. I'll attempt to recreate them on photoshop from scratch, but I've never used photoshop like that before... and if that's not working, I'll try taking pictures and hoping the quality is good enough. It's actually all on one sheet, with seven more fakemon (which I'll give descriptions for now.)

The gym leaders of a new region

Just some things to take note about my gym leaders:

The first 8 gyms of the new leaders specialize in a strategy instead of a specific type (though a couple gym leaders have pokemon that coincidentally have all the same type).

My gym leaders all use 4th gen. movesets, and mainly pokemon of gens. 1-3, though sometimes I use 4th gen. pokemon. Not a fan of the 4th gen.

I'll post the first 8 gyms and their pokemon and movesets, and give them discription once I have time to.

All the pokemon are underleveled because I plan to incorperate the kanto and johto region as well, which means I'll add 17 gyms (I'm going to sneak in a dark type gym somewhere in the johto region just so there's a gym leader for each type of pokemon). I'll also post an elite 9 (with a champion), which also use different strategies instead of types.

Some of the gyms can also be done in any order, like the 3/4th gyms and the 6/7th gyms, because they're each rival gyms in the same city.

1st gym
name: Bob
strategy: Invulnerability
Pokemon:

-Sableye lvl 18 Item: sitrus berry
1. payback 2. fake out 3. night shade 4. leer
ability: stall

-Shedinja lvl 20 Item: none
1. sucker punch 2. bug bite 3. shadow claw 4. protect
ability: wonder guard

items: super potion x1

Discription: Bob's main strategy is basically to use pokemon that lack weaknesses. His first pokemon is Sableye, a pokemon that's noted for having absolutely no type weaknesses. It is carries a pretty offensive moveset for this point of the game, for it carries fakeout to get a free attack in, night shade to deal 18 damage consistently, leer to lower your defense, and payback, which can hurt a lot, since it'll have 150 STAB base power if it takes damage that turn. However, sableye can only do so much offensively since it's 75 attack stat is not something to brag about, even at this point of the game, it's guarenteed to go last, thanks to its stall ability, and it's just frail of all things. Hit with the hardest thing you've got, and it'll probably go down, though be aware that the gym leader has plenty of healing items if sableye is low on hp, including a sitrus berry that sableye holds, as well as one super potion.

Shedinja is either impossible to beat...or rather easy, depending on whether you have its weakness or not. While the pokemon has 1 hp, and goes down to any attack that causes damage, it has the wonder guard ability, so only super effective attacks or status condition moves can affect shedinja. Another thing to keep in mind is that it has an attack stat of 90, which is pretty good for this point of the game. However, with a speed of only 40, it won't be able to show off too much of its offensive moves, except sucker punch. Basically when trying to beat this pokemon, it comes down to having a pokemon that can both take its sucker punch attack without fainting in one hit, and have either a status condition move, or a one of the five super effective attacks against it (fire, rock, flying, dark, ghost).

MasterCharizard15, be aware that advertising isn't allowed in most areas of this site, and this is definitely the wrong area for your post.
_____________

New Types: Wind, Photon, Stellar

Wind Type (Also known as: Air)
Reasoning: As Ice and Water are incredibly similar, and Ground and Rock are incredibly similar, the Wind type would work well to pair with Flying types. Wind could have more to do with weather and elements, while flying types could have more to do with things that fly (birds, planes, etc.)

Wind Attack Stats
Super Effective against: Ground, fire, flying
Not Very Effective against: Rock, Steel, Ice
(Reasoning: Winds put out fires, whip sand away, and mess up flight patterns. It doesn't bother rocks or steel, nor ice.)

Wind Defense Stats
Weak to: Poison, Ice, Cosmic
Resistant to: Fire, Flying, Steel, Fighting
Takes no damage from: Rock
(Reasoning: There's no air in space. Poisons and cold weather use the wind to get around. The resistances area all from elements/objects that cannot affect wind in real life.)

Current Wind-Type pokemon: Drifblim, Drifloon (instead of flying)

Current Wind-Type moves: Ominous Wind, Gust, Silver Wind. Since Ominous Wind and Silver Wind are "unique" attacks, they'd have the second ability of retaining their strengths/weaknesses as well as gaining wind strengths/weaknesses.

Other Notes: Understand Sound attacks or pokemon could be grouped under Wind, considering the sound travels with the wind and needs air to carry it.
_________________________

Photon (also known as: Light, Crystal, Radiant, etc.)
Reasoning: Light is highly controversial. Considering Dark refers to sneaky, unfair tactics, and not actually "evil," light as in "holy" wouldn't work well. This would change "Light" to be seen as an element/existence, not an idea. Fire and Electric cover many of the ideas light would seem to work upon, but based off of the ideas of refraction and photons would make it unique.

Photon Attack Stats
Super Effective against: Electric, Psychic, Fighting, Stellar
Not very effective against: Flying, Ice, Fire
(Reasoning: Crystals and light power electricity, and could scramble psychic thoughts and fighting coordination with bright, interrupting lights. It pierces through space. Ice reflects light, light doesn't disturb flying types, and fire doesn't need light. Note it's not super effective against ghosts, and light produces shadow, which ghosts would hide in.)

Photon Defense Stats
Weak to: Dark, Stellar, Flying
Resistant to: Electric, Psychic, Fighting, Ghost
(Reasoning: Things that don't play by the rules just put out the light as a trick. Space distorts light with dark matter. Flying just needs another super effective thing, and Photon would be weak to flying. Electric, Psychic, and Fighting are similar to Flying in this case, and Ghosts can't attack light without leaving shadows and going into the light, weakening it.)

Current Photon Type Pokemon: Possibly Sunflora, Bellossom, or Cherrim could dual-status, but none suit it quite right yet.

Current Photon Type Attacks: Solarbeam could be photon-type if used by a photon-type pokemon, and dual grass/photon would have both types' strengths/weaknesses, but that's all.
________________

Stellar Pokemon (also known as cosmic, space, planet, etc.)
Reasoning: The interesting use of outer-space pokemon is... interesting. We have several space-related pokemon and attacks already, and stellar would fit those in. It could be used to balance the metagame anyway.

Stellar Attack Stats:
Super Effective Against: Photon, Dark, Wind, Dragon
Not very Effective Against: Steel, Poison, Ice
No effect on: Bug
(Reasoning: It distorts light and darkness. There is no air in outer space. The meteor theory behind the dinosaurs could explain its super-effectiveness against dragons. The Water Bear, a bug, can naturally withstand pressures of outer space, as well as metals designed to. Radiation (poison) can come from gamma rays, which shoot through space. Ice exists in space.)

Stellar Defense Stats:
Weak Against: Photon, Poison, Bug
Resistant to: Fighting, Dark, Ground, Rock, Fire, Water, Steel, Grass, Dragon
(Reasoning: Light still travels fast in space, and poison and bug need types to be super effective against. It'd serve as another steel-like defensive type, but covering other types, since the outer space is unsuitable for many elements/objects.)

Current pokemon of the Stellar Type: Clefa, Clefairy, Clefable, Cressellia, Deoxys, Solrock, and Lunatone could either change gain the double type or lose their original one. I could see Deoxys and Cressellia becoming dual types, Solrock and Lunatone losing their rock type, and cleffa, clefairy, and clefable would become solely Stellar.

Current attacks of the stellar type: Meteor Mash, Cosmic Power, Gravity, Wish, and that's all I can think of.
