Might as well join the variant bandwagon:

Human-Like Baltoy:

This variant of Baltoy is a complete child-like figure, meant to protect farmlands and villages. This variant cannot Levitate, or have Psychic-powers, but with its life force, it gains the Fairy-type.

Its evolution, Claydol, does not have the famous 8-eyes of the original Claydol, instead resorting to a humanlike face and two eyes. It is given this face to interact with humans, as opposed to regular Claydol, who is created to repel intruders.

Type: Ground/Fairy.

Thunderstorm Spearow:

This variant of Spearow is said to be chosen by Thundurus itself. Common in Unova, and rest of America, this variant uses its spiky feathers to charge up. Its evolution, Fearow, uses its long beak as a lightning rod to absorb the thunderstorm.

Type: Electric/Flying.

Middle Age Bronzor:

Common in Kalos and rest of Europe, this variant of Bronzor is created during the rise of the monarchies. It is said to have the power repel Dark-types, and thus has Fairy-type. Its evolution, Bronzong, is created to call in the monachy's peasants for feasts and repel the wicked.

Type: Steel/Fairy.

Spiral Vanillite:

This variant of Vanillite is not created out of stalagmites, but rather its entire body is made of fresh snow, with a iron-rich soil guarding it. This variant of Vanillite spins its body to create twisters and hurricanes.

During the sunny weather, its body melts, revealing the cold iron block.

Type: Ice/Steel.

Hellfire Ponyta:

As opposed to regular Ponyta, this variant of Ponyta is not docile at all. Preferring volcano routes and caverns, this variant of Ponyta exudes a blue fire and black smoke composed of carbon monoxide. This variant aggressively chases evolutionary opponents from its living place.

Its evolution, Rapidash, does not have horn, instead, it has a ramming helmet made of magma.

Type: Fire/Dark.

Devious Slakoth:

This variant of Slakoth hides under tree shadows, keeping its presence. As it always moves last, no Pokémon can counterattack against it, but it always finds a way to counter back. Due its persistence it is under the risk of predation, unless a prankster Vigoroth or a powerful Slaking member of their tribe protects them, or in the case of Slaking, who also move always last, take revenge for them. This makes them an easy prey and a dangerous protector of the land in the same moment.

Type: Dark, Ability, Stall for Slakoth and Slaking, Prankster for Vigoroth.

Wild Snivy:

This variant of Snivy is said to be the original predator form, rather than the domestic form developed by Kalosian royalty and popularized by Unovan research groups. Its muscles are well developed, as well as its jaws, but it cannot spray its gastric acid like the domestic variant.

Fancy Rattata:

A domestic variant of Rattata, this variant comes in multiple coats. It is said that its coat variants are endless. Because of this, this variant is rarely seen active during its hibernation period, unless there is a major electric source or a large colony nearby.

Type: Electric/Fire. Abilities are: Flash Fire, Pickup, Flame Body(HA)

Illusion Zigzagoon:

Said to be descendants of a Zigzagoon that has reached enlightenment, this variant of Zigzagoon uses its magical powers to shape shift into its opponents. Because of this power, it is constantly hunted for its illusory fur.

Type: Ice, Ice/Fighting when Mega, Fluffy, Fur Coat(HA).

Wild Skiddo:

Original variant of Skiddo, this mountain goat keeps its soil covered fur out of grassy terrains in case it might catch seedlings. Its horns are made out of regular body parts, which makes them breakable and makes any regrowth impossible. Because of this, wild Skiddo rarely allow people to touch their horns, unless they really trust them. This variant is also more acrobatic than the domestic variant, to avoid predators.

Type: Ground. Ability: Stamina, Sand Rush(HA)

Rooted Carnivine:

As opposed to Sinnoan Carnivine which developed the ability to fly, the original variant of Carnivine, which does not fear harsh winter, remains rooted in a regular place, though it also the retains the capability to move other places. With this ability, it can always disguise its fangs as flowers, but once its hit, this disguise is blown.

Type: Grass/Dark, Ability: Disguise.

Desert Scyther:

This variant uses its bright golden armor to hide within rocks and sand. Though it retains its typing, its tactics are almost opposite of its grassland counterpart.

Type: Bug/Flying->Bug/Steel. Abilities: Technician, Sand Force/Sand Rush(For Scyther)-Sand Veil(For Scizor).

Black/Urban Teddiursa:

An aggressive variant of Teddiursa, this variant uses its charming appearance to steal from others. Its evolution, Ursaring, often enters cities to hunt for garbage. Rather than eating Honey and berries, this variant often attacks trainers alongside various domestic livestock.

Nonetheless, this variant is more easily tamed than regular Teddiursa, due its higher intellect.

Type: Dark. Abilities are: Cute Charm, Poison Heal, Pickpocket(HA)_>Sheer Force, Poison Heal->Intimidate(HA)

This variant keeps its life exclusively in underwater. It loses its hands in favour of a more flexible body.

Type: Ground/Various.

Rather than the physically oriented Croagunk, this variant has well developed sound sacs that allow it to use various sounds. This form is adapted near lakes.

Type: Water/Normal

Connecting Resort Path and Resort Area, this is largely a foresty bay where species similar to those in Seaforest Path can be found.

I can't really think of anything for the massive foresty area northwest of Mt. Coronet, which contains rivers and sh**. I can see it being used as an alternative way to go to Acuity Lakefront, though.

New Move Ideas

Bouncing around a few ideas that would make for unique moves:

Magno-Field
Electric - Status move- Entry Hazard
The user generates a powerful magnetic field that surrounds the enemy team. Pokemon entering the battlefield have their Sp. Def reduced by -1.
Opposing electric pokemon will cancel out the field when they enter the battle (Same as how Poison Types absorb poison spikes)

Wing Brace
Flying - Status move- Block
The user wraps it's wings around it's body to deflect an attack. If successful, the attack is battered aside and the pokemon catches a burst of wind. Increasing Speed +1.
Fails when used in succession

Weedle line: Seriously, how can Bug Buzz not fit Beedrill perfectly? Plus it would be a more creditable bug type attack for the species (it took them long enough to get a good poison type attack).

Pikachu line: Just cut the formalities and have it learn Iron Tail naturally already. And cut Raichu some slack already. If you're not going to give it a Mega Evolution form at least give it one unique token post evolution attack like so many others (it's only benefit is getting to relearn Thunderbolt and Quick Attack from any level).

Meowth line: Give Meowth at least one 60 power level normal type attack to perfectly take advantage of Technician and be strategically powerful. Either let it learn Persian's Swift (and make Power Gem more remarkable to counter balance Meowth's Pay Day) or give it another productive move, Covet would fit the species perfectly for example. (I'd say increase Pay Day to 60, but that would reduce the ability to spam it for extra money).

Magikarp line: Give Magikarp one really powerful move, but at a VERY late level, just to reward those trolling gamers for their Magikarp full run. XD

I really disagree with this one. Bug Buzz is a special move. Beedrill has a base 45 Special Attack. Mega Beedrill is even worse, at base 15 Special Attack. There is no reason to use Bug Buzz when one Twineedle hit would completely outdamage Bug Buzz every time. Plus, it already gets X-Scissor, which is a very good bug move, and U-Turn, which is the best move for Mega Beedrill, as it does double damage due to Adaptability and it gets it out usually before it takes damage, since it is usually faster than the opposition. It has no need for Bug Buzz.

Fair enough, I'd vouch for one of those being naturally learned however, since if they stopped being TMs Beedrill would certainly be nerfed (though looking again, Pin Missile is exploitable).

Chuckull
Fairy/Dark
The Witch Pokemon
2'4"
42 lbs
Abilities: Magician/Trickster (Frisk)
Gender Ration: 25:75 Male:Female
Evolves to: Cackull at level 26
Moveset: Mostly Dark and Fairy moves with a few weak psychic moves and some Normal moves including Natural Gift.
Appearance: Imagine a witch Ralts. Chuckull looks like a small female humanoid wearing a dress, and is all purple. It wears a black witch's hat that barely leaves its yellow eyes uncovered. This Pokemon has a yellow skull and crossbones insignia on its hat.
Dex Entry 1: Chuckull love berries, to the point they will attempt to steal their favorite kinds from bigger, stronger Pokemon and people. Interestingly, they are rarely seen eating berries raw, instead preferring to beat them with water into a potion.
Dex Entry 2: It was once believed that Chuckull's hat held its power and that keeping a Chuckull's hat from it for a week took away both its ability to attack and to make its unique chuckle. This has been proven false but they do develop anxiety if kept from their hats for too long.

Cackull
Fairy/Dark
The Witch Pokemon
3'9"
61 lbs
Abilities: Magician/Trickster (Frisk)
Gender Ration: 25:75 Male:Female
Evolves from: Chuckull at level 26
Evolve to: Cacklon at level 40 or higher by leveling up while holding a Dark or Fairy type berry. These are: Iapapa, Spelon, Colbur, Rowap, Roseli, Kee, or Maranga.
Moveset: Same as Chuckull but some more, stronger moves. Now learns Psychic. Gains the ability to learn Brew Potion, Toss Potion, and Drink Potion.
Appearance: A taller feminine humanoid. It is still purple and looks like it is wearing a dress, though with small black feet to resemble small heels. It still has yellow and the same witch's hat. It has a small pestle that it wields like a wand.
Dex Entry 1: Cackull's have very particular taste in berries. They are often observed collecting berries they dislike and then trading them to other Pokemon like Murkrow for berries they do like.
Dex Entry 2: It is said that in ancient times Cackull taught humans the skill of using berries for medicine. Even in modern times they have helped gain new knowledge on medicinal berry use.

Cacklon
Fairy/Dark
The Cauldron Pokemon
5'2"
213 lbs
Magician/Trickster (Witch's Brew)
Gender Ration: 25:75 Male:Female
Evolves from: Cackull at level 40 or higher by leveling up while holding a Dark or Fairy type berry. These are: Iapapa, Spelon, Colbur, Rowap, Roseli, Kee, or Maranga.
Moveset: The same as Cackull but with the odd addition of Aura Sphere at level 85.
Appearance: A taller version of Cackull. The biggest new addition, and the reason she is over 200 pounds, is her brewing cauldron. A large black cauldron made out of magical rock. She also traded her pestle for a large stirring rod. While it can't easily be seen, moving her hat shows she has a third eye.
Dex Entry 1: A Cacklon's cauldron is its most precious possession. An old legend tells of a chef who stole a Cacklon's cauldron hoping to make use of the potions inside. Furious, the Cacklon cursed the chef so all the food he made became inedibly bitter.
Dex Entry 2: Cacklon's potions are mostly known for their healing properties. But Cacklon can lay a hex on them to turn the potions unto potent weapons.

New Moves:

Brew Potion
Fairy
10 PP
-- Power
-- Accuracy
Status
No target
The user brews a 2-serving potion using a held berry. Power and type depends on berry used.

If the user is holding a berry then it is turned into a potion. A potion is a status not an item so it cannot be knocked off, stolen, affected by embargo, incinerated, plucked, or anything else like that. It can be Snatched but the other Pokemon will probably have no use for it unless they also have a Potion move. The user can have any amount of a potion but only one power and kind of potion at a time. They are not lost if the user switches out but are lost if the user faints or when the battle ends. The potions are based around their type and power from Natural Gift with a few rules and exceptions:
Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Persim, and Lum Berries make a Potion with the same type as them. So brewing a Lum Berry makes a Lum Potion.
Berries that deal 80 damage with Natural Gift are level 1, berries that deal 90 damage are level 2, and berries that deal 100 are level 3.

Toss Potion
Dark
15 PP
Varied Power
100% Accuracy
Special
1 Adjacent Target
The user lobs some hexed potion at the foe. Effect varies based on the potion used.

As long as the user has at least one potion, they can use this move. Otherwise it fails. For most berries, this is just a Special version of Natural Gift and that attack's page can be checked on Bulbapedia to see the stats then. Because the actual type is based on the berry used to brew the potion it is only actually treated as Dark when using a Dark Berry. The potions that do not directly follow Natural Gift's example are the status Potions mentioned above. They deal 50 damage of the right type and are guaranteed to cause the ailment the berry heals. For Lum Potions, they deal 60 damage and give a random status ailment or can rarely fail.

Drink Potion
Fairy
15 PP
-- Power
-- Accuracy
User or adjacent ally
The user or an ally drink a healing potion. Strength depends on the potion used.

As long as the user has at least one potion, they can use this move. Otherwise it fails. The restoring power depends on the level of the potion and on the type of the potion and the target. A level 1 potion restores a quarter of the target's max hp, a level 2 restores a third, and a level 3 restores a half. If the potion is the same type as the target, the healing is doubled. The status restorers mostly only restore a quarter of max hp (half if the same type as the target) but also heal the ailment. A Lum Potion has level 2 healing instead.

These are not unique moves to this line. But Cackull and Cacklon are the only Pokemon to learn all three naturally, with other Pokemon able to learn only either Drink or Toss, or requiring breeding to know both.

I really like those pokemom ideas. Unique typing and really creative concept.

I thought of my own take on Gen 2 Starter Mega evolutions -
with Generation 7 in mind:

Mega Meganium
Type: Grass
Ability: Serene Grace
80 Hp
76 Att (+10)
130 Def (+30)
103 Sp.Att (+20)
130 Sp.Def (+30)
90 Speed (+10)
Mega Meganium's evolution represents the true serenity and aromatic power that the species can reach. The petals around Meganiums neck have not only thickened- but the pheromones they release have are so powerful that attacking pokemon may be stunned after a single breath of it's aroma.

Despite not having many moves of secondary effect, I thought Serene Grace was an ability that really suits Meganiums description. Energy ball, Ancientpower, and Body slam are the only real options for it currently. But if this were to change with a few more interesting moves given to it. Meganium could find a new role as a wall that can deal both stat and status influction along with modest special attack.

Mega Typhlosion
Type: Fire
Ability: Dazzling
78 Hp
104 Att (+30)
88 Def (+10)
154 Sp.Att (+45)
100 Sp.Def (+15)
100 Speed
The sheer explosove power that Mega Typhlosion's body witholds can be seen corsing through it's fur in violent eruptive flashes. Not only can Mega Typhlosion unleash devastating attacks- it's presence can also prevent others from trying to act before it in battle!

To see Dazzling on another pokemon after Bruxish is a big want of mine. I feel like it is a neat ability that could be great on a number of other pokemon, time will tell I suppose. Anyway, Dazzling on Mega Typhlosion prevents the likes of heavy hitting Aqua Jet users, Extremespeed and the newly introduced Accelrock(?) from taking away Typhlosion's health before it has the chance to use an highly powerful Eruption. While Typhlosion had around average speed. The srategy to using it would be to switch in or mega evolve on slower pokemon to gain the upper hand.

Mega Feraligator
Type: Water
Abilty: Tough Claws
85 Hp
150 Att (+45)
110 Def (+10)
104 Sp Att. (+20)
88 Sp.Def (+5)
98 Speed (+20)
In mega evolution- both Feraligator's teeth and claws have hardened to a sharpness that can shear straight through the toughest of alloys. This pokemon does not hold back in using it's newfound strength in battle, ripping into the opponent with powerful attacks at first chance.

With 150 Attack- This Mega Feraligator idea would make it the strongest user of Tough Claws. Strong and straightfoward- Mega Feraligator would hit like a truck and break down walls. The speed increase helps to make moving last less of a worry for it. Although strong, M-Feraligator would require team support to help with it's still mediocre speed and lacking special defense, helping to make it last within the battle.
