Just an idea I've had for a while because I had a lot of time to think while using my Tyranitar to catch Pokémon in Shield.

The Shelter Ball!

"A somewhat different Poké Ball that makes it easier to catch wild Pokémon in unpleasant weather."
I'm not sure on the design of it, maybe a black ball with a dark grey net-like pattern over the black?
Effects on catch rate: (multiply relevant multipliers together)
There is no current weather0.5x
Target is damaged by current weather2x
Target set current weather0.5x
Target is immune to current weather's damage due to type or ability0.25x
Target has a move weakened by current weather2x
Target has move boosted by current weather0.5x

Yokachi Region

A rename for a prior idea, the Yokachi Region is based off the Tohoku region of Japan. It is the location of the Sinjoh Ruins from HGSS, due to being north of where the Johto Region and south of where the Sinnoh Region's real life basis would be. More Pokemon here are based off yokai and Japanese lore than normal.

Yokachi Throh
Type-Fighting/Fairy
Ability-Guts/Anger Point(normal), Rivalry(Hidden)
Basis: Throh and its counterpart take more inspiration from the oni side of their design, which is also why they have the horns in their original beta design.

Yokachi Sawk
Type-Fighting/Fairy
Ability-Guts/Own Tempo(normal), Rivalry(Hidden)

Poison Stone

The Poison Stone was in the Spaceworld Demo. Basically this is an item used to evolve Poison type Pokemon or introduce a Poison type evolution. Outside of the Galar region, the Poison Stone can evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro, or Galarian Slowking if the Galarian Slowpoke is holding a King's Rock at the time

Toxeon, the Venomous Pokemon
Name basis: Toxic+Eon
Type-Poison
Ability-Poison Touch(normal), Power of Alchemy(Hidden)
Evolution: Eevee-Poison Stone-Toxeon

Qwilbloat, the Spiked Balloon Pokemon
Name basis: Quill+bloat
Type-Water/Poison
Ability-Levitate
Evolution: Qwilfish-Poison Stone-Qwilbloat
Note: Qwilbloat takes the balloon aspect of Qwilfish and runs with it. As such, Qwilbloat has the Levitate ability which also gets rid of one of its pesky weaknesses and further stand out compared to Tentacruel

Salamafiar, the Crook Pokemon
Name basis: Salamander+mafia
Type-Poison/Dark
Ability-Corrosion(normal), Pickpocket(Hidden)
Evolution: Male Salandit-Poison Stone-Salamfiar
Note: Salamafiar lean more into the bandit side of the Salandit, and serve as an alternative for male Salandit

Dex Entry 2- This Pokemon is considered to be a deadly predator. It is a hard Pokemon to bond with and should not be trained by an inexperienced Pokemon trainer.

New move

Ability- Menace- Lowers the targets defence stat one stage.

Yokachi Legendary Beasts and Ho-oh

The regional variants of the legendary beasts have a similar background to their Johtonian counterparts in that they were reborn, but instead they perished in the Yokachi Civil War that took place during the War of Wars ~100 years ago(alluding to a WW1/WW2 equivalent). The Yokachi Ho-oh was the one to restore them. It is suggested to be the offspring of the Johtonian Ho-oh, and that the original Ho-oh migrated from Yokachi to Johto

Yokachi Raikou, the Storm Pokemon
Type-Ghost/Flying
Ability-Lightningrod
Pokedex entry: "This Raikou is the reincarnation of a Pokemon who perished braving the harshest storm to give the region a victory. Mists and clouds are summoned to obscure its town from invaders"

Yokachi Suicune, the Aurora Pokemon
Type-Ghost/Ice
Ability-Refrigerate
Pokedex entry: "This Suicune is the reincarnation of a Pokemon who perished infiltrating the cold of one of the regions its home of the Yokachi region was at war with. It freezes diseased areas and pollution to cast it away, and brings forth fertile lands with a pleasing aurora".

Yokachi Entei, the Warrior Spirit Pokemon
Type-Ghost/Fighting
Ability-Scrappy
Pokedex entry: "This Entei is the reincarnation of a Pokemon who perished fighting and defeating 1000 enemy soldiers around a century ago. When it roars, the will of its comrades emerge as fiery specters to protect the innocent"

Yokachi Ho-oh
Type-Fire/Fairy
Ability-Flame Body(Emergent Ho-oh), Misty Surge(Shining Ho-oh), Levitate(Ashen Ho-oh), Regenerator(Hidden Ability)
Form change: Yokachi Ho-oh is capable of switching form based on age. Emergent Ho-oh, Shining Ho-oh and Ashen Ho-oh. Through the Rainbow Prism, you are able to choose which form you can use. Which Ho-oh you encounter first battling it is random
Pokedex entry
  • Emergent Ho-oh: "Ho-oh was first found in Yokachi over 700 years ago, emerging from a rainbow egg that a different type of Ho-oh laid. It emanated a mighty flame that left the arid land fertile once those flames extinguished"
  • Shining Ho-oh: "The brilliant power of this Ho-oh gave three Pokemon a second chance of life in the Yokachi Region, as its Johtonian counterpart did in Johto. Ho-oh is said to be immortal; were it to grow old or perish it will simply be reborn in a rainbow egg"
  • Ashen Ho-oh: "Nearing the end of its current existence, the Yokachi form of Ho-oh seeks a new land to be reborn and new Pokemon deserving of a second chance of life. Many humans have sought this Ho-oh's ashes in hopes of resurrecting as an immortal being"

"We all heard the Eeveelutions became the Legendary Beasts theory at least once, and I'm proud to say I believe in that. So... what if I told you that Ho-Oh revived 2 more Pokémon? Scientists speculated they were Espeon and Umbreons. Some Hex Maniacs used their powers to analyze its origins, and we got a positive." - Professor Elm.

Dex Entry 2- Vileplume has such darkness in the heart they scare most pokemon who dares to face them. They seem to fear Hoennian Bellossom however and always obey their commands

Hoennian Bellossom

Evolves from Hoennian Gloom with a Shiny stone in Hoenn

Dex Entry 1- This Pokemon likes to soothe other souls. When those souls get too rowdy they either force them to flee or they use their raw power to force them to submit. They prefer to be kind however.

Dex Entry 2- This Pokemon is often seen with those who have a spiritual connection. Many gather on Mt. Pyre to soothe the souls of the dead.

New Moves

Spiritual Storm- (Ghost)Special- 130BP- 5PP- The attack's recoil harshly lowers the user's Sp. Atk stat

Spiritual Ward- (Ghost) Status- 5PP- This move forces any Ghost types to switch out but fails against any non-ghost types.

New ability
Vile Intent- all dark type moves now have a 20% chance of causing flinching.

Appearance- resemble their original forms but with muted colours. Their 'leaves' are transparent.

Notes- Hoennian Bellossom is now a signature Pokemon for Phoebe.

So "Applin" Isn't That Appropriate

Kalosian Applin and Libwiyrm
Name basis: Lipid+wyrm(Libwiyrm)
Type-Dragon/Bug
Ability-Thick Fat(normal), Gluttony(Hidden)
Evolution: Applin-Lv 27-Libwiyrm
Pokedex entry
  • Kalosian Applin: "The rarity of available apples have forced Applin to toughen up and fatten up, with these fats serving as a buffer. Its' berry-rich diet leads it to secrete a slippery slime that prevents predators from keeping hold of it"
  • Libwirym: "Centuries ago, Kalosian knights fought the mighty Libwiyrm to claim their bounties of rare and valuable berries. Their big and churning stomach can regurgitate berry nectar as a mighty blast of draconic energy"
Basis: Kalosian Applin is an Applin that isn't dependent on an apple. It takes more inspiration from the lindworm, but is one to hold berries and be a messy eater. It also takes inspiration from the greedy/hoarding dragon archetype, but with berries instead of riches

New Move: Puppetry

Type: Ghost
Category: Status
Accuracy: n/a
Power: n/a
PP: 10
Description: The user takes control of the target, making it use the last move it used on itself.
- Additional Info: The target's Attack and Special Attack are used during damage calculation. This move only works immediately after the target moves, or the turn immediately following the target's last move. Puppetry fails if the target is hurt by Confusion, frozen solid, or immobilized by Truant, Paralysis, or Attract prior to the move. The move also fails if used after OHKO moves, Destiny Bond, Grudge, Spite, Curse, Momento, Spit Up, Last Resort, or any move the target uses on itself or an ally. The move can copy priority moves, but will fail if the user does not go first.

That is actually a very good idea, but what would learn it?

I'm thinking this list with some removals, but can't decide which to remove: Kadabra/Alakazam, Gastly/Haunter/Gengar, Drowzee/Hypno, Starmie, Jynx, G-Articuno, Mewtwo, Mew, Misdreavus/Mismagius, Stantler/Wyrdeer, Spoink/Grumpig, Claydol, Shuppet/Banette, Drifloon/Drifblim, Spiritomb, Rotom, Azelf, Darkrai, Arceus, Beheeyem, Meloetta, Espurr/Meowstic, Inkay/Malamar*, Trevenant, Oricorio, Bruxish, Mimikyu, Hattrem/Hatterene, Calyrex

*If any non-Ghost-type's gonna' learn a move like this, it should be Malamar, hands/flippers/tentacles down

Of all the existing Pokémon, only the following can learn Puppetry via leveling up:

- Ninetales
- Haunter
- Gengar
- Shuppet
- Banette
- Spiritomb
- Yamask
- Cofagrigus
- Honedge
- Doublade
- Aegislash
- Trevenant
- Mimikyu
- Runerigus

The following Pokémon can only learn Puppetry via breeding:

- Vulpix
- Gastly
- Eevee/Eeveelutions
- Zorua/Zoroark
- Phantump

Puppetry can also be learned by Smeargle via Sketch.

Fair enough learnlist, if a bit disappointingly small. I'm surprised I didn't think of Ninetales and it does seem like a good fit, but I still really think Malamar and a few other Psychic-types should get access.

The reason I excluded Psychic-types is because the concept of Puppetry is based more around body possession than opposing power. However, I also excluded Rotom because it possesses machines instead of people.

Actually there is one Psychic Pokémon I can picture using Puppetry and it’s one no one else had suggested: Grumpig. Grumpig is called the Manipulation Pokémon and Puppetry sounds like manipulation.

Yes, but as I stated, the move is based more around body possession than opposing power, being derived from the Japanese folk belief of Ikiryō, a spirit that leaves one body to possess another, often causing the possessed person to harm themselves.

I have actually considered making a Psychic-type version of the move. I just wanted to do Ghost first, for obvious reasons. lol

If X Were A Type

Two of the most recurring fan types must be Sound and Cosmic. I'm not sure what Gamefreak would do in terms of type weaknesses and strengths were they ever to make these types real, but I do have an idea on what Pokemon might fit it. A few I wasn't certain whether to replace the type or not like Eternatus.

Light Type
  • Chinchou line: Water/Light
  • Ampharos: Light
  • Duskull line: Ghost/Light(they're shinigami, and they have their own form of light in their eye/the radio waves of Dusknoir. It'd be useful to carry hosts to the next world)
  • Bronzor line: Steel/Light(due to it being a living mirror/bell)
  • Watchog: Normal/Light(its illuminating traits)
  • Heliolisk line: Light/Normal(they're solar powered/reminiscent of the sun)
  • Ultra Necrozma: Light/Dragon
  • Blacephalon: Fire/Light(it's a walking, talking fireworks display)

Cosmic Type
  • Cleffa line: Fairy/Cosmic
  • Staryu line: Water/Cosmic
  • Porygon2 and Porygon-Z: Normal/Cosmic(their dex entries state they were designed to explore space)
  • Sableye: Dark/Cosmic(I never got why it was part Ghost besides a sweet type combo, and the Pokemon is based off an alien)
  • Lunatone and Solrock: Rock/Cosmic
  • Jirachi: Steel/Cosmic(not explicitly from space, but associated with meteors and comets)
  • Deoxys: Cosmic(I don't see much that's inherently Psychic about a mutated space virus)
  • Elgyem line: Psychic/Cosmic
  • Minior: Rock/Cosmic(they're meteors)
  • Cosmog and Cosmoem: Cosmic
  • Lunala: Cosmic/Ghost
  • Solgaleo: Cosmic/Steel
  • Base Necrozma: Cosmic
  • Orbeetle: Bug/Cosmic(UFO traits)

Sound Type
  • Igglybuff line: Sound/Fairy
  • Mankey line: Fighting/Sound(because Mankey and Primeape are very angry and would be prone to shouting and tantrum throwing)
  • Lickitung line: Normal/Sound(big mouths and tongues could make a lot of sound)
  • Whismur line: Sound
  • Chingling line: Psychic/Sound
  • Kricketune: Bug/Sound
  • Chatot: Sound/Flying
  • Audino: Sound
  • Mega Audino: Sound/Fairy
  • Meloetta: Sound/Psychic or Sound/Fighting(obviously)
  • Noibat line: Sound/Dragon
  • Rillaboom: Grass/Sound

If Unova Had Regional Variants

This is an idea I had on what if regional variants were introduced with the first region based on a foreign country to the developers. There aren't any Fairy type variants because I'm only following two principles; that regional variants, including new evolutions, were a thing, and that the Gen V games never have the restriction of only new Pokemon pre-post game in the first games

Unovan Rattata and Raticate
Type-Poison/Normal
Ability-Poison Touch/Stench(normal), Intimidate(Hidden)
Evolution-Unchanged
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Rattata: "In the Unova Region, the Rattata are vermin introduced a century ago. Despite the best pesticides, they have only adapted by incorporating it as a defense mechanism"
  • Unovan Raticate: "Though tougher than their Kantonian cousins, it's advised not to go near a Unovan Raticate. They're biohazards who thrive in nasty sewers and landfills".
Basis: The Unovan Rattata line take inspiration from sewer rats, and the fact rats are common carriers of diseases. Their status as pests are emphasized

Unovan Onix and Steelix
Type-Psychic/Rock(Onix), Psychic/Steel(Steelix)
Ability-Dry Skin/Swift Swim(normal), Weak Armor(Hidden)
Evolution-Onix-Shiny Stone-Steelix
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Onix: "The Onix of Unova are made from psychic crystals as a result of their environment and diet. Records show this water-resistant Onix has been found in a far off archipelago"
  • Unovan Steelix: "Beaded crystals across the Unovan Steelix have the power to see the future and generate psychic energy. Their harsh steel armor prevents people from trying to pick off its valuable crystals"
Basis: This Onix line is modeled after the Crystal Onix, though its abilities are not a one to one translation of the anime's Crystal Onix. Mysticism and the idea of psychic crystals take a large part in the variant's attributes. Unlike in canon Unova, you find this Pokemon in the Chargestone Cave

Unovan Lucario
Type-Fighting/Ghost
Ability-Scrappy/Cursed Body(normal), No Guard(Hidden)
Evolution: Unchanged
Pokedex entry: "In Unova Lucario are in tune with the spirits, who the Pokemon channels into its aura. This process is done so it may protect gravesites and fellow Ghost types"
Basis: Basically it is more like Anubis in this form, and into spiritualism

Unovan Dunsparce and Qwetsparce, the Feathered Snake Poklemon
Name basis: Quetzacoatl+Sparce(Qwetsparce). The w is to be less obvious
Type-Poison(Dunsparce), Poison/Dragon(Qwetsparce)
Ability-Levitate
Evolution: Unovan Dunsparce-Learn Draco Meteor-Qwetsparce
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Dunsparce: "As the Unovan Dunsparce doesn't live in caves, it has developed a powerful stinger to protect itself, and strong wings for flight. Some can roll around like a ball if knocked down"
  • Qwetsparce: "The nascent energies of the original dragon brought forth Qwetsparce to the world. They rain down poisonous meteors from the sky"
Basis: We've all thought of a Dragon Dunsparce evo. I've given a Poison type flair due to its snake yokai influence and stinger

Unovan Zubat line
Type-Dark/Flying
Ability-Intimidate/Cute Charm(normal), Inner Focus(Hidden Ability)
Evolution: Unchanged
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Zubat: "Like their Kanto counterparts, Unovan Zubat use ultrasonic and live in caves. But rather than using poison to down tough prey, they simply swarm in mass"
  • Unovan Golbat: "For a Golbat variant, these Pokemon are surprisingly charming. This is all a trick to lure big-blooded prey to their cave and ready their steel-piercing incisors"
  • Unovan Crobat: "Scientists aren't sure why the Unovan Crobat evolves through friendship and happiness; they're devious and aerodynamic bloodsuckers who feign compassion to drain whole hectares of livestock dry"
Basis: Unovan Zubat takes inspiration from the vampire bat. The "Cute Charm" Hidden Ability reflects how vampires are often figures of seduction and attraction. Related, Zubat are sinister but aesthetically more pleasing to their cousin, like Alolan Meowth

Unovan Pineco and Pinifire, the Flycatcher Pokemon
Name basis: Pine/Pin+Conifer+fire
Type-Grass(Pineco), Grass/Fire(Pinifire)
Ability-Heatproof(Pineco), Rattled(Pinifire), Sturdy(Hidden)
Evolution: Pineco-Fire Stone-Pinifire
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Pineco: "Unovan Pineco have applied so much bark to disguise themselves as pinecones they essentially are pinecones. The hot, sticky nectar attracts their prey"
  • Pinifire: "An unusual evolution that was brought out by Unovan Pineco's heat endurance and need to attract prey. They generate a flammable oil-like nectar, making beautiful flames. Flames so entrancing Bug type Pokemon tend to ignore the danger, for that matter"
Basis: The Unovan Pineco is more of a literal pinecone, hence the type change. It keeps that pinecone element upon evolving, but expands it by having it serve as a grenade mixed with being one of those pinecones you leave out slathered in food to attract animals

Unovan Tangela and Tangrowth
Type-Ice(Tangela), Ice/Fighting(Tangrowth)
Ability-Heatproof(normal), Guts(Hidden), Tangling Hair(added in Gen 7)
Evolution: Unchanged
Pokedex entry
  • Unovan Tangela: "Tangela were thought to be extinct in Unova until recent history, where they woke up from a melted glacier after at least 10,000 years. Covering their true face are harsh, cold to the touch strands of Rapunzel-like hair"
  • Unovan Tangrowth: "Unovan Tangrowth dominated the region before humans migrated over 10,000 years ago. Their hulking, hairy arms let them carry a ton of stone to throw their enemies out of commission"
Basis: Unovan Tangela are modeled after caveman more, and are "shaggy" like many Ice Age mammals(mammoth) and stereotypical hairy cavemen.

Basically, I'm giving Maractus a baby form and evolution. But before that, some new moves that would fit it...

Ability: Cactus Body - The Pokémon with this ability will be immune to sandstorm damage and deal damage equal to 12,5% of a foe that is targeting a Pokémon with this ability with a physical move's HP (even if the user faints with that move). If the move is supereffective, this Pokémon will deal damage equal to 33% of a foe that is targeting a Pokémon with this ability with a physical move's HP (even if the user faints with that move) instead.

Pokémon that can have this ability:
- Cacnea
- Cacturne
- Maractus
- Ferroseed
- Ferrothorn
- Chespin
- Quilladin
- Chesnaught
- Togedemaru

To be continued... (Had to stop early because responsabilities)

Red stripe
Dex Entry 1- This tiny fish is the pre-evolved form of Basculin. It initially is a timid pokemon that avoids confrontation by staying small. Once it becomes strong enough to properly fight back it is ready to evolve and join its school

Dex entry 2- In most regions this pokemon is too weak to survive and is rarely seen in the wild. In the regions it can be found there is a secret to them, those that survive for long enough can learn new skills even its evolved forms can't learn normally.

Blue Stripe.
Dex Entry 1- It is notable that Basculittle tends to be much more friendly members of other schools than any other member of its evolutionary line. Some say it is because they are kinder but others say its because it is too hard to tell school given how small their stripe is.

Dex entry 2- Basculittle can learn many different moves. It is said it becomes a bully after evolving because of the the harsh life it led as a Basculittle.

New Moves
Water Edge- (water) Physical- 120BP-(15PP) Does damage and then inflicts recoil (same recoil as double edge)

Aquatic Impact-(water) Physical 150BP- (5PP) deals damage. The user has to rest for 1 turn after.

New ability
Evasive Swimming-Boost's this pokemon's evasion in rain.

Appearance- Resembles a tiny cuter Basculin. It is hard to tell the difference between blue stripe form and red stripe form but there is a slight difference

River incense- Boosts the users critical hit ratio when using water type moves

Tunispit and Lobosquirt, the Squirting and Brainless Pokemon
Name basis: Tunicate+spit, Lobotomy+squirt
Type-Water(Tunispit), Water/Ghost(Lobosquirt)
Ability-Swift Swim(Tunispit), Comatose(Lobosquirt)
Egg group-Amorphous/Water 3
Gender ratio-Unknown
Evolution: Tunispit-Lv 30-Lobosquirt
Pokedex entry
  • Tunispit: "These little-known Pokemon defend themselves with a sharp squirt of water. They often associate themselves with Ghost types"
  • Lobosquirt: "Lobosquirt sacrificed their mobility and their brain to gain access to the spirit world. Their now disembodied soul channels ecotplasmic energy through their body"
Basis: The Tunispit line are based off the tunicate/sea squirt, with Lobosquirt being a dead ringer for the skeleton panda sea squirt. This is where the Ghost typing comes from, and the creature's bizarre life cycle of digesting its own brain once sessile plays into its lobotomy/creepy ghost atmosphere. It is a version exclusive alongside the Sematte line. The Comatose ability is because the Pokemon is literally brainless and little different from being asleep. The unknown gender is justified by the sea squirt's hermaphroditism

Sematte and Pelagicapet, the Welcoming Pokemon
Name basis: Sea+matt, Pelagic+carpet
Type-Water/Grass
Ability-Mimicry
Egg group-Amorphous/Water 3
Gender ratio-Unknown
Evolution: Sematte-Lv 30-Pelagicapet
Pokedex entry
  • Sematte: "Sematte are almost microscopic Pokemon who live in a massive colony, forming as a comfy matt for other sea creatures. The biggest member of the Sematte colony is detactable by wearing a crown-like structure"
  • Pelagicapet: "Pelagicapet are found across the world's oceans, being highly adaptable to the environment and easily mistaken for humble kelp. Though slow, they are very amiable and comfy"
Basis: The Semattle line is based on the obscure bryozoan animal. It's known as the sea mat or sea carpet, primarily the membranipora membranacea. It's nature as a mat is why I gave it Galarian Stunfisk' ability; it is welcome to whatever field needs it. The Grass typing relates to the species' association with kelp. The unknown gender is justified by the bryozoan's colonial nature

Butawato and Giniruto, the Cavy and Domestic Volt Pokemon
Name basis: Butaniku+Watto aka Pork+watt, Ginia+Boruto aka Guinea+volt
Type-Electric/Normal
Ability-Run Away(Butawato), Healer(Giniruto), Pickup(both), Thick Fat(Hidden Ability)
Evolution: Butawato-Max Friendship-Giniruto
Pokedex entry
  • Butawato: "Butawato were first domesticated centuries ago in the mountains, as easily-bred sources of meat. It probably wasn't a coincidence that lightning strikes were a lot more common in the mountains back then"
  • Giniruto: "Treat a Giniruto right and you will be rewarded with medical herbs the Pokemon finds. Giniruto releases bolts of lightning with a shockingly mighty roar"
Basis: Butawato and Giniruto are based off the guinea pig. Their Normal typing comes from them being common pets. This is also why its evolution is friendship-based

Ginzappu and Hoszappu, the Banking and Gem Enthusiast Pokemon
Name basis: ginko+zappu aka bank+zap(Ginzappu), hoseki+zappu aka jewel+zap(Hoszappu)
Type-Electric(Ginzappu), Electric/Rock(Hoszappu)
Ability-Pickup/Pickpocket(normal), Unburden(Hidden)
Evolution: Ginzappu-Learn Pay Day at Lv 28-Hoszapuu
Pokedex entry
  • Ginzappu: "Despite how common they are, Ginzappu are still seen as symbols of wealth. They like to collect coins and shiny rocks, using particularly shiny coins and rocks as currency among fellow Ginzappu"
  • Hoszappu: "Hoszappu are treasure hunters by trade, hoarding plenty of jewels and whatever shiny coins they get their paws on. Bankers love Hoszappu for guarding and protecting their banks, and thieves love their Hoszappu for robbing those same banks"
Basis: The line is based off the bank vole, emphasis on bank. As such, it is associated with treasure. This makes one of the only Pokemon who can learn Pay Day through level up

Camel Spider Pokemon

Camarchne, Descorpio, Sahafuge and Solibeast, the Arthropod, Desert Beast and Sun Beast Pokemon
Name basis: Camel+arachne, Desert+Scorpio, Solifuge+Sahara, Solifuge+Beast
Type-Bug(Camarchne), Bug/Ground(Descorpio, Sahafuge), Bug/Fire(Solibeast)
Ability-Water Absorb(all members), Run Away(Camarchne and Descorpio Hidden Ability), Thick Fat(Descorpio, Sahafuge), Solar Power(Solibeast), Sand Stream(Sahafuge Hidden Ability), Drought(Solibeast Hidden Ability)
Evolution:
  • Evolution line 1: Camarchne-Lv 22-Descorpio-Lv 40 during the daytime-Solibeast
  • Evolution line 2: Camarchne-Lv 22-Descorpio-Lv 40 during the night-Sahafuge
Pokedex entry
  • Camarchne: "The humble Camarchne is often a figure of fear due to people believing it is poisonous and aggressive. In reality Camarchne are timid by nature and prefer to hide under dunes of sand"
  • Descorpio: "The large protusions on the back of a Descorpio are reserves of watery fat, allowing the Pokemon to go a month straight without water. When it's time to drink, they can drain a small lake clean of water
  • Sahafuge: "The mighty Sahafuge is big enough, and has the right proportion of its humps, to transport people over 20 miles across the desert without stopping. Their scary appearance has made Sahafuge riding not nearly as profitable as investors would hope"
  • Solibeast: "The mighty Solibeast burns like the sun, strong enough to turn the sand it walks on to glass. They frighten any predators away during the day, and serve as a source of heat in the icy-cold desert night"
Basis: Again, this Pokemon is based off the camel spider. It takes the camel spider influence by being desert-related. It is an Ariados-like Pokemon that gains a 500 BST-tier rank at Lv 40. This is an easter egg referencing the first spider and scorpion-based Pokemon's evolution level, as the solifugae is compared to scorpions and spiders despite being. Almost all the abilities reflect names for the solifuge(Thick Fat and Water Absorb are the camel, the windy nature of the sandstorm with Sand Stream reflects the wind scorpion name, the type and Solar Power/Drought of Solibeast takes after the sun spider). The Camarchne line is meant to be an early bug Pokemon that still manages to hold its weight in design and utility in the later game. I imagine a region based on a more desert-like area, such as Australia, would fit the Camarchne line

If I Could Change Shiny Pokemon

Here's some of what I'd do
  • Ekans: Make the main body more gold, and the neck pattern/yellow the same blue as shiny Arbok has
  • Nidoqueen: Actually keep with the pattern its prior forms were going for
  • Gengar: Make it far more black/dark with blood red eyes
  • Electrode: Make it purple as if to reference a Master Ball
  • Tyrogue evolutions: Have their main body be the same color as Tyrogue
  • Tauros: Make it either a black bull or red
  • Ditto/Mew: Actually have it that a shiny Ditto/Mew will transform into shiny versions of its target again
  • Munchlax line: Brown, like a brown bear
  • Articuno: I like it already, but I think for it to further stand out you could change the headcreast
  • Zapdos: Make it a shiny white with blue accents to represent a different lightning color
  • Moltres: Again I like it, but I'd prefer it to have blue flames
  • Dragonite: Have it regain the colorations of its standard pre-evolutions
  • Togepi line: I would change the red and yellow speckles to gold and silver color, referencing the games they deputed.
  • Fortress: I would change the originally red part to the purplish color of the original outer shell
  • Scizor: Make it a sleek metal grey or cobalt blue
  • Octillery: Make its main body yellow-ish and suckers a vibrant dark blue, referencing a blue-ringed octopus
  • Masquerain: Change the main body to Surskit's shiny, but otherwise I'm fine
  • Shedinja: Ghostly white with a gold halo
  • Plusle and Minum: It may be obvious, but give them each other's colors
  • Kecleon: Does it even need to be said?
  • Regice: Accent the colder blue with purple
  • Burmy line: Except for Mothim, make the main body more colorful in general
  • Garchomp: Give it the colors of regular Gible
  • Froslass: Some minor changes. Making the purple parts black
  • Lake trio: Given them a green gem in their head. Nod to Arceus
  • Blitzle line: I think it'd be cool if their main colors were switched
  • Throh and Sawk: Use two other contrast colors, or give them each other's
  • Krookodile: Give it Krokorok's main colors, but with the stripes getting its shiny's blue
  • Vanillite line: Make its exposed icicles rocky-brown, so it resembles an ice cream cone better
  • Beheeyem: Keep the colors of shiny Elgyem, at least for the main body
  • Zekrom: Give it some gold highlights, like Reshiram
  • Mega Mewtwo Y: To stand out and reference how it is more similar to its progenitor, Mega Mewtwo Y could have a pink body and the green becomes blue
  • Hoopa: Give it a black and white body for spookiness, or maybe have it be more blue-themed as a reference to Genie from Aladdin. And then turn the rings platinum
  • Volcanion: Turn the red of regular Volcanion darker and the yellow burnt black
  • Minior Meteor Form: Give it a more silvery form, serving as a good contrast to its shiny Core form
  • Togedemaru: Make it blue as a Sonic reference, or yellow with red cheeks as a Pikachu reference
  • Celesteela: Nothing much, but I think if the blue on its feet and knuckles becomes red it could be a nice reference to rocket exhaust or something
  • Marshadow: It's a walking, talking shadow. So I'd only change the eyes into blue/purple
  • Galarian Weezing: Change the "facial hair" to a cool white
  • Galarian Mr Mime: Flip the white and black on its main body/hair and pants
  • Applin: Change the worm part to red, a reversal of the original

Event-Exclusive Locations

I have some ideas for what could spruce up certain mythical Pokemon's presence. They're ideas for when Pokemon revisits certain regions, be it through a remake or a sequel/prequel
  • Sunken Region: The Sunken Region is an event-exclusive mini-region. It is based off Atlantis, being a region that was sunk long ago...around 3000 years, to fuel the recurring theme that big things were happening back then. Phione can be found as wild encounters, and Manaphy is the main static encounter. It is also home to a number of Water and aquatic Pokemon that are either in-universe ancient or based on ancient creatures. It is accessible in multiple games, where you reach it through the event item "Mythic Ticket", which lets you board the S.S Manaphy and visit this place. The design varies per generation, implying we are seeing different angles of this mysterious Sunken Region.
  • Liberty Garden: An upgrade to this Victini location. Not only is Victini available, but it is home to a number of primarily Kalos Pokemon that aren't normally catchable in the wild. This Unova game I'm envisioning is referencing how the Statue of Liberty originates from France
  • Reflection Core: The lowest level of Reflection Cave. Normally you can't visit, but with the event-exclusive item Diamond Key you can go inside. The area is exclusively home to Carbink, with the exception of the static encounter of Diancie. It is heavily implied that Diancie and Carbink created the Reflection Cave hundreds of millions of years ago, and are sustaining it

Pyro Wrath- If a Pokemon with this ability uses a special fire type move it will calculate damage using its physical attack

Dex Entry 1- This Pokemon releases powder in the hope of causing mass damage. It was believed to be a myth in Kalos until one plucky researcher disturbed a small group. He will be sadly missed.

Dex Entry-2- As its powder is now much more ignitable it can be considered much more dangerous. It trigger the explosions itself when it feels wrathful. Sometimes it doesn't even bother with powder and just unleashes fiery fury.

Appearance- Resembles Spewpa but the fur is Red.
