I have created.....................

A GENERATION! 151 pokemon ideas! Let me know what it's missing the most. I have no use for this idea, I just wrote it out as a quick creative exercise. I didn't name most of them, so in place of names they have descriptions. I have a weird organization system going by area and sometimes theme.

evolved cockroach - bug/dark - human-shaped, some say it will rule the future earth.

Lightbulb kiwi - electric/ground

Sea urchin - water/steel - evolves from the cucumber, an armored ball with broad diamond-shaped spines.

Krill - water/bug - rainbow colored with large eyes.
Mantis shrimp - water/bug - specifically based on the peacock mantis shrimp.

Misc. novelty pokemon

Zebrez - normal - a baby zebra.
Arbezebra - Zebra Pokemon with two *random* types.

Mongrowl - poison - a dog with shaggy, filthy fur and a tiny bug on its head.
Mongrunge - poison - so shaggy it seems to be a blob of fur with fangs. Several bugs on its back.

Parabite - bug/poison - a tiny flea with a long proboscis. Appears in your party if you have an empty slot after battling a mongrowl or mongrunge. Weak, but leaves a permanent leech-seed-like effect when fainted.

Cryptish - PURE flying - Pokemon resembling a short ribbon with multicolored spots down its sides. Based on the legendary skyfish, a popular icon of japanese cryptozoology, which is supposedly a flying thing that never stops moving at lightning speed.

Microscopic Pokemon (pick up as items, then take to a laboratory where they can be enlarged)

Water bear (tardigrade) pokemon - bug/grass - In the real world, these moss-dwelling creatures can survive being frozen, blown up, or even floating around in space, so perhaps an ability where super-effective damage restores its hp.

Daphnia pokemon - water - these are very famous animals in japan, so I'm surprised they haven't been used already.

Virus pokemon - poison/flying - resembles a cloud of one-eyed, spiny purple spheres. Ability could damage the opponent each turn, like a typeless weather effect, and linger after it faints.

Bacteria pokemon - grass/flying - a counterpart to the virus. A swarm of one-eyed, warty green spheres. Ability would raise its hp each turn, like an automatic leftovers, and linger after it faints.

ANTS & Termites

Termite queen - bug/electric - always female. Eggs always hatch into "pawns". Also produces different types of royal jelly.
Termite pawn - bug/electric - simple, white and yellow termite. Evolves according to the royal jelly attached to it.
Termite knight - bug/electric - bipedal termite with long, thin mandibles reaching down to the ground. Attack and speed oriented.
Termite bishop - bug/electric - Bipedal termite with a cannon-like snout, wings and levitation. All-around even stats.
Termite rook - bug/electric - Quadrupedal termite with a huge bulky head and jaws. Defense oriented.

All termites learn the unique "electrobomb" move: the user faints, does medium electrical damage to the enemy, and very slight (very slight) electrical damage to each of the enemy's team members.

Ant queen - bug/fire. Always female, works just like the termite.
Ant pawn - bug/fire - a spiny little red ant.
Ant knight - bug/fire - bipedal red ant with swordlike forearms.
Ant bishop - bug/fire - winged ant with a wasplike stinger.
Ant rook - bug/fire - quadrupedal ant with a heavy, spiked shell on its back.

Ants have a fire-type version of the termite's signature move.

Snail pokemon - poison - a slimy green snail with a spiky shell. Evolves if the leech is in your party.
Infesnail - poison/dark - giant snail with a pair of striped worms instead of eyestalks.
(based on the infamous "zombie snail" parasite, Leucochloridium)

pillbug pokemon - bug - branched evolution into either centipede or millipede.
millipede pokemon - bug/rock - defense oriented.
centipede pokemon - bug/fire - offense oriented.

Grasshopper - bug - has a leaf-shaped body.
Stick insect - bug - evolves from the grasshopper.

Caves

cave fish pokemon - water - a white fish with no eyes.

cave salamander - psychic/dark - an eyeless white salamander.
Evolved cave salamander - psychic/dark - a big, bipedal white salamander. Has eyes on the palms of its hands and none in its head.
(no, this is not based on "Pan's labyrinth"...that monster is actually from a japanese legend, so it'd suit pokemon well, especially combined with the well-known concept of a blind cave salamander)

Reindeer-yak hybrid - ice - has vines tangled in its antlers, growing multicolored berries.
Moose pokemon - ice/ground - giant mooselike evolution of the reindeer.

Mountain goat pokemon - ice

stone plant pokemon - grass/ground - based on a common succulent that imitates a pebble.
tumbleweed pokemon - grass/ground - a shaggy ball of twigs with dizzy eyes.

Pseudolegendaries

water lizard pokemon - ice/water - an armored lizard with four flippers instead of legs.
ice lizard pokemon - dragon/ice - more like an armor-plated alligator, with clawed feet instead of flippers.
sky lizard pokemon - dragon/ice - has a more streamlined body, with four batlike wings instead of legs.

Archaeopteryx pokemon - fire/ground - a clawed, reptilian bird.
Intermediate - fire/dragon - longer legs, shorter feathers.
Deinonychosaur pokemon - fire/dragon - a feathered "raptor" with flames on its ankles.

Legendaries

Grey alien Pokemon - psychic - part of a trio. I know this sounds extremely cheesy considering how Greys have been run into the ground, but I could see one easily being given a more pokemon-like design, something like uxie with more of a body.

Flatwoods Monster Pokemon - steel - a robotic-looking humanshape with a skirt and a spade-shaped head. The Flatwoods Monster is an alien reported in West Virginia in the 70's and is very popular in Japan. I've seen it in a dozen video games, manga, anime and toys.

Mothman Pokemon - dark - this pokemon would be pitch black, almost a silouhette except for its red eyes. Also popular in Japan, yet also originally from West Virginia. The Japanese love our American aliens.

Baby "Martian" Pokemon - psychic/electric - the mew equivalent. In anime and manga, it is common to depict martians as jellyfish-like creatures with big brains and round, glowing eyes. I can easily picture a ridiculously cute version, like a tentacled manaphy. This popular image is based on the martians described in "The War of the Worlds," which was the world's first alien invasion story.

---

Devilish tarantula pokemon - bug/dragon - a huge, fearsome spider with a shell on its back resembling a snarling face.

Samurai-like humanshape pokemon - steel/fighting - an armor-plated being with long, thin blades instead of hands.

EXPLANATION: one of Japan's most famous legends is the battle between the samurai Minamoto and the spider monster, Tsuchigumo. This is like Japan's equivalent of St. George and the dragon, though a lot more impressive as the Earth-spider is said to be as ancient and powerful as a god. In the story, Tsuchigumo wounds Minamoto, then disguises itself as one of his nursemaids so it can slowly poison him. My idea is, you would find the spider or woman form depending on your game version.

New evolutions

Trombeak - perap evolution, a toucan with a beak like a brass instrument.

Volcargo - magcargo evolution. Massive defensive stats to compensate for those awful weaknesses.

Torchoise - the big beastly evolution that poor little torkoal deserves.

Paraspore - parasect would like a tough evo to compensate for that 4x (sometimes 8x!) fire weakness it has to deal with.

Mawicked - feminine, humanshape mawile evolution (mawile is based on the Japanese legend of two-mouthed women).

Crystaleye - sableye evolution so it isn't ignored in favor of spiritomb anymore.

Mimiclown - Mr. Mime evolution.

Valkween - Jynx evolution, maybe with a horned helmet.

Pinsaw - spinier, more jagged bug/steel evolution of pinsir to finally catch up with its original counterpart, Scyther.

Kissish - luvdisc evolution, resembling a pink and white ocean sunfish with puckered lips.

Chemiqwil - qwilfish evolution. A very large, darker grey qwilfish with an anchor-like tail, somewhat resembling a sea mine.

Gastriking - Swalot evolution, has a tubelike mouth and a second tube on its head. Evolves from Swalot at a chemical waste dump.

Sluj - muk evo, no visible eyes, mouth so large the whole pokemon is basically a cave made of slime. A pile of three nondescript pokemon skulls peer out of its throat. Evolves at the waste dump.

Gasping - weezing evolution, same stat total but more oriented towards speed and attack. Resembles a gleeful koffing with a mouth full of jagged teeth, long, thin tubes, and several tiny, eyeless koffing orbiting around it.

---------------------------

So what would you add/change/trash? I think the alien legendaries are my dumbest idea. It's also bug, dark and poison heavy. I also failed to come up with any prevos/babies.
