OK!!!So, I am making this fan made game called, Pokemon Amber! Well, I found out that this game was already invented, by a hacker. So, I came here, to Serebii, to see if anyone could help. FIRST, and FOREMOST, plz help with a name. Plz try to use a gemstone sorta thing, to keep that tradition alive, but tell me whatever you come up with. I will occasionally check back here, so hopefully I'll get good suggestions. Until I post back saying its good, keep em coming! SECOND, IDEAS PEOPLE!!Im gunna need EVERY possible idea I can get. Here I have some breif info on a couple new features Im putting in. Starters: Shellped:Grass, a bird in a shell. When its in its final form, it will be grass/flying. Now, on to the water starter. Prave: A water bug. When in its final form, it will be Water/Bug.(Dont worry you grass lovers, I will make grass super effective against it.) AND NOW, for the moment youve been wating for! Splaire, the fire starter: A lion/ghost thing. When in its final form, it will be Fire/Ghost. Now that were done with starters, some new features. I will eventually start a new thread if it becomes popular enough, about more ideas, the bulk of it. But heres some battle sequence improvement. Some minor changes, just to make fighting seem more realistic. When yuo try to hit a ghost pokemon with a physical attack, it shows the attack, but then it shows the ghost pokemon go into pixels around it, to imitate the ghost pokemon disapearing then reapering. Now, onto the next thing. When a pokemon is at good/decent health, and is hit w/ a super effective move, the pokemon will go down on its knees or whatever it may be, but if it survives, it will slowly struggle back onto its main fighting position, then make its signature noise, and the fight will continue. Also, when the pokemon dies, it does not slide off the screen.(Example:Charizard is defeated. So, it would show Charizard lifting its head to a vertical angle, then falling on its belly, making its noise. Then, a pokeball will appear, and the pokemon is called back inside the ball. NEXT, a optianol, but MAJOR battle improvement. The ability to CHAIN AND DODGE MOVES. Now heres what this means: When you start a battle, you have a few options;Fight,Bag,Pokemon,Run. In this game, you can select all of those, AND Chain and dodge. Now dodge is simple. You select dodge, and your pokemon might dodge the attack. Its like a seperate attack. Can be used multiple times, but every time its used, it becomes harder to dodge. NOW CHAINING. This sounds like chaining pokemon to get shinys, but its not. In this game, you can select chain. When you do, you select a combo of moves. 2 max, 1 dodge, and 1 move. For instance. Say I have a Hitmontop, and I select chain. I select first for him to dodge, then for him to use close combat. If I pull a succeful chain, it will show him dodging, then attacking. But chains cannot be used in repetition. When you chain a move, you do the combo immediatly, but instead you have to wait at least 1 turn before you can attack again. This adds a little more umph and realism to the game. So hers a little hint on whats in store, so please respond to this, and I will make another thread stating whats more in amber, and the bulk of amber ideas. Please give names in this 1, and also any ideas for a pokemon. When giving an idea, first state the name, then its type, and if it evolves. and so on and so forth.
