Episode 89, "Crystal Iwaku"/"The Crystal Onix". Satoshi, Kasumi, and Kenji encounter a glass-blower named Isao who's after an Iwaku made entirely of crystal. He ultimately finds it, and uses his Lizard to battle it, but can't bring himself to capture it. A noteworthy episode, as it marks the first appearance of Kenji's Marill. However, the Lizard in the episode is just a regular Lizard.

Like every one's been saying: Crystal Onix, not Crystal Charmeleon. =/ Although I'm pretty sure that there was a Charmeleon in that episode.

Ash,Misty,Brock surfing on sea,random note in a bottle appears,reads that if they know where the Crystal Onix is then tell his brother,come on random island,see random crystal shops,random girl comes and bumps in them.Go to her random shop and and meet her brother and he shows them a random crystal sculpture of a onix.tells them how his grandfather met the crystal onix made that crystal onix.Find out how the brother and sister have not been doing well economically.Brother wants inspiration by seeing the crystal onix.Ash and rest decide to find the Crystal Onix.Tracey uses Marill to hear the crystal Onix and it leads them to a random cave and find Crystal Onix in a pool of water.The brother sends out a Charmeleon and Then he glares at the Onix for like ten seconds and then battle.The brother gets his inspiration and makkes good crystal figures and Ash and leave.
