just something i have been wondering. why is 4kids forced to change/erase everything of japanese culture in there anime. They give alot of there pokemon, one piece, shaman king and yugioh/gx character hispanic, french, austrailian,italian, etc, accents. How is that different? they even gave banner an asain sounding accent.

p.s. the best thing has happend to pokemon. remember the old days when 4kids had rights to it and koga threw a "throwing star" at ash? well now they are actually allowed to call them shuriken

Bah, I came in here expecting a reference in an anime to The Culture.

But for the topic at hand, the main excuse they use is that the kids won't understand it. This is a stupid reason, but then 4Kids generally are stupid when making dubs (they even remove English writing sometimes ffs).

at sometimes they would actually call what they were eating rice balls and at other times they called them dounuts or something. its all the same viewers watching those episodesso why change there names from episode to episode?
