D/P male and female changes

MechaBulba

Do you think that when the Anime goes to the D/P land they will bother to make the changes in apperance of a pokemon's gender. I.e. having Male and female Woopers look like their new sprits in D/P and actually showing the new size diffrences?

If so do you think they could get away with altering the main heros Pokemon 2 match this? I.E. mayb Ash's Heracross is a male therefore has a bigger horn than anyfeamle ones at Oaks lab etc...

If there is already a thread about this sorry!

Well that's the thing. I could see them changing appearences of Pokémon due to gender, and I could honetly see it happening to Pokémon at Oaks and such, yet I don't see them changing the main groups :/ It would be better if they did, but I think it would distract people somehow.
I dunno what I'm talking about, but I think they should anyway. It's from the game, and to be honest, it holds more realism to have changes with genders.

I think the male/female differences are going to be complicated to introduce to us in the anime. I mean, we know that at least ONE of every character's pokemon is female, so are they just going to start animating it differently, or will they just leave the current pokemon as-is? I don't want Ash to go back to Pallet Town to find that Bayleef has magically turned purple or something.

It's going to be complicated, but our brilliant writers/animators have never let us down before!

Meh.

I don't know........
I don't think they would change the male and female Pokemon, after all, they already started it without the differences.

^ Well if they changed the animation for attacks like Bubblebeam and Swift, I don't see why they can't change the pokemon's appearance for the gender. Besides, the change is slight so it won't be too distracting or noticing (I couldn't even tell the difference between a female and a male Scizor).

Big news for you, its already happened. It happened before we even heard of these changes.

A good example is Mays Bulbasaur

Oh yes!

or was it more of the "we will give it a hart shaped pattern on its head to make it look diffrent to Ash's bulbasaur" like Mays baby squrlte sounds diffrent and Butterfries mate was pink just so people could go "oh its pink that means it must be a female?"!

If they don't change the old pokemon surly they will start doing it with the new unrevealed 4th gen ones

I hope we'll see the male and female changes, it would be interesting to see what is the difference between male and female pokemon in the anime. We've already seen a pink Butterfree, Bulbasaur with hearts, a shiny Donphan with a higher tone of voice (I think), I don't see why the writers can't show us more of these differences between male and female.

hmm well u know ash has the majority of male pokemon- one question did the pink butterfree have a spot on its wings if not, i think his butterfree is gay, of course that was pre-sprite change era, so it must have been a special butterfree- but how could pink not be the shiny color- confusing.

I think the main casts Pokemon will remain the same but other trainers will have the differences. Say the Pokemon in Shinou look different acourding to Gender but not in Kanto etc, I mean they had the Orange Island Pokemon that looked different.

If they do start the series fresh in D/P i can see them making the changes without there being any fuss about Ash's pokemon suddenly changing.

I'm sure Ash's Pokemon will still look the same. Remember in the anime Pokemon can look different in different regions, like the Orange Islands.
