D/P, Wi-Fi, & FC's

Do you care if FC's restrict Wi-Fi play?

Most of you know D/P will be Wi-Fi enabled but did you ever think about Friend Codes? I have a bad feeling that Trading and Battling will be restricted to those on your Friends list. Most of the people playing these games will be little kids so I would be surprised if Friend Codes weren't in the game. Anyway what do you think?

Well first off why would that happen? And Second no I do not think the FCs will be restricted for this game. Have they ever been restricted in any WiFi game? So my answer would be NO!

Uhh...ever hear of a little game called Animal Crossing? You need friend codes to visit other people's towns. And how about Metroid? You need a friend code to talk to people...so if I know Nintendo, they'll probably do some stupid junk to prevent little kids from seeing things their parents wouldn't want them to...(i.e. vulgar pokemon nicknames, and If the chat feature still exists, vulgar comments. I hope this isn't the case, but odds are it will be.

Well I have never played that so how am I supposed to know?

I bought a DS but I'm not planning to buy any DS games until P/D come out, can someone explain what you mean by friend codes? Do you mean that to connect to someone, you need a code (like a pin code), or you need to have their trainer card number, or what? I'm a little confused.

The way a friend code is used depends on the game. A friend code is basicly a 12 digit ID. In Metroid Prime Hunters if two people enter each others friend codes you can chat between games.

for a strange reason i think nintendo will create there own server. That is the place all people would go to trade/battle/mixrecords etc.... Also I think that if anybody cussis then they will be kicked or something.

They should not have friend codes because Battling and Trading does not get personal... It should be like Mario Kart where the game searches for players. Animal Crossing is so stupid with the FC's I hate it.

Well you got a long what till you can ever play your DS because there is still no release date for D/P and you may not be able to get it for over 5 months.
In Aus you can get a DS with Mario Kart free in a bundle but I don't know if you have it where you live though.

God I hope not. Connecting in AC is hell, because you have to add someone, get them to add you....Would be funner just to be able to connect to some random town. But then again, that would require alot more work. But I can't see it happening. I can just see it being like the union room, but only Wifi.
