Da "perfect team"

What does it takes to have a perfect team? ... With "perfect team" i don't mean a team which has no weakness... I mean a team wich has potenial to be one in the serie. Now I take an example of the johto season

?Perfect team?
- a mascot (like Ash's Pikachu)
- a strong fighter (like Ash's Charizard in the Johto season)
- something to fly on (Ash never flies around, but in the gameboy u need something to fly)
- the rarest (a really rare Pokémon like Ash's shiny Noctowl)
-something to surf
-...?
But that's all i can think of. Do you have any ideas or do u have built ya own team like this?

Some days ago i answered on a forum about almost the same thing, and i say almost the same now:
Mascot: munchlax
Strong: gyarados (also used for surfing)
Flyers: latios & latias (dragons are soooo cool)
Rare: jirachi!!! (i dont have it in any game, but i like it)
2nd mascot: MUK!!! it is just so cuuuute!!!

This would be my team:

- a mascot: the squirrel thingie (sorry can't remember the name), I like it even though it's another pikachu clone; it could sit on my shoulder.
- a strong fighter: thoughie; probably something like Aggron.
- something to fly on: Pidgeot; I've liked it since I got yellow.
- the rarest: Latias! No need to explain.
- something to surf on: Blastoise; just like Pidgeot; plus: water cannons = cool
- something to clear obstacles etc: Steelix; diamond hard; it could smash anything in my way!

Is there a way to get a mascot that is fully evolved? I don't put partially evolved Pokemon on my team, at least when I am planning to battle. Also, must the rare Pokemon be an uber/legendary? I would rather have a regular, but still hard to find Pokemon. Besides, ubers aren't really rare since everyone uses them these days.

I guess here's how it would go for me.

-Meowth as a mascot. A normal one, without a weird New York accent.
-Nidoking as a toughie.
-Dodrio to fly on. You figure out how that works...
-Octillery to surf on.
-Arcanine as my rare guy. You don't see him much on the show.
-Kangaskhan for the last one.

With rares I mean like a shiny, Feebas may be rare as well. And I don't think Kyogre is rare,but Celebi, Mew, Jirachi and Latios/Latias. Just what you think is rare. You don't need a rare guy. You can have a baby (like Ashs Larvitar) instead.

Hmmm.

Everyone is different when it comes to their "perfect" team. Some people like all ubers, some use their favourites, some use a team that works with each other, others use 6 of one Pokemon. Some don't care about being beaten 1,000 times in a row, others play for the win at all costs.

Me? I have two "perfect" teams. One features six of my Sneasel army, as I like Sneasel, obviously. The second one is Sneasel, Persian, Misdreavus, Scizor, Starmie and Porygon2. My favourites. Hell, it's not to everyone's tastes but at the same time I couldn't care less.

I don't fit my teams around this style I seem, since that is not all my Pokemon.

to be honest, my perfect team is just a team that consists of a Fire, Water, Grass, Flying and two other types. Like:

Sceptile
Pelipper (also counts as flying)
Torkoal
Sableye
Aggron
Manectric

Powerhouse: Shiftry.
Flier: Dodrio.
Surfer: Marshtomp.
Rare: Absol.
Other: Slowking.

Surfer: Meh, I love Gyarados so I'll keep one on hand.

Rare: I dunno... A rare grass pokemon. I think Celebi is as rare as they come, but who am I to take a legandary out of the wild? I would never do it; It's selfish. I guess I'll say Cacturne.

Other: Breloom/Meganium/Sceptile/Exeggutor.
