team rocket can hardly be defined "diabolical", IMO the real diabolical team if thats the term you want to use is Cipher

Its new,well chances are good its new isnt it?
I just hope rocket and cipher dont make a return,I dont like them!
Or team snaggem for that matter!

team snagem or any colo/xd villians will never be put on the portable.

i think that the new team should be a entire team of girls or boys that you must fight depending on the game you buy

pearl-pink so obviously you verse the girls
daimond-whiteish-is boys
sort of like the ruby/saphire versions one is good when the other is bad

and the pokemon they have shouldn't be zubats and whatever they normally have

I hope there won't be any of this. I'm sick and tired of it - make up something new, GameFreak!

I think I'm the only one who would be totally happy if team Magma returned.....:)

But I know this wont happen, because they will make a completley new diabolic team.

I doubt they'd ressurect Team Aqua or Magma. They seemed to be specific only for RSE and groudon/kyogre.

I never liked team rocket in the games (they were funny in the tv show.)

I'm hoping for something new >_^

Yes they are, they kill Pokémon! Rather diabolical if you ask me, and not to mention mean. However, depending on the time frame this is set it - we might or might not.

TR could make a second return after they were tooken down in G/S, but I'm imagining it will be a whole new team to be honest.

The logos blue, compared to Pearl's pink colour. Do the maths.

Something new, please. We've already had a team of phonies and two that could be loosely considered eco-terrorist groups, so I don't want to see anything fit into those categories. However, in a whim I just received, I found a team that would be both refreshing yet nefarious, challenging yet pervious. Yet before I explain, I need to give a history...

Go into the past roughly 300 years, when Pokeballs were carved out of Apricorns or otherwise formed from rudimentary parts by trial and error. Yet amongst the group there was a legendary trainer known only in the modern day as Blanche, the Knight of Shinou. This tall, stately figure was known to ride around on his loyal Rapidash suffering nary a burn, a gallant figure that was trusted and feared over the continent. With his unparalleled skills in Pokemon taming, he founded the precursor to what would become known as the Pokemon League, appointing the most challenging trainers he found on his exploration to position within the Consortium of Four, coloquially known as the Elite Four. He took the role of the first Champion of the League, whose claim was undisputed.

He never foresaw that he would lose, and he trained his son and daughter to be fine Pokemon trainers following in his footsteps. However, that one fateful day he heard that his childhood friend, Lloyd was intensely disgruntled he was not granted a position on the Consortium of Four, even after one of the members died and was replaced. For this he sought vengeance on his old compadré, training up a fearsome and sweeping through the Consortium of Four. Then, in a timeless battle with Blanche himself, he managed to eke out victory against his Rapidash using the Grass starter of the new generation. The provisions mandated that whoever defeated the Champion in a sanctioned match would be made the new Champion, and with this Lloyd promptly replaced all members of the Consortium of Four, forbidding their ancestors and Blanche's from ever holding a position in the Pokemon League again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, enter the modern world. Blanche's descendants are still alive and thriving, operating in a group known as The Betrayed, divided into two camps based on whether they trace lineage to his daughter or son. The former are called the Fionites after her name, Fiona, and the latter are known as Normanites after his name, Norman. Regardless of whether they are Fionites or Normanites, they all wear the glimmering white armory that Blanche wore while riding along the countryside on his Rapidash. Even now, they are all still barred from taking the Pokemon League challenge, and now that they issue out proper trainer licenses, they aren't even official trainers. Yet, all of them have seemed to adapt Blanche's incredible finesse in befriending Pokemon, making them ample de facto trainers in their own right.
As a descendant of Lloyd, they hold a special grudge against you for the past confrontations your ancestor gave their ancestors and are still giving them to this day. However, you don't hold the same cruelty that Lloyd possessed in his management of the Pokemon League, you merely wishing to go about on your journey as you attempt to claim the title of Champion. Still, they fail to recognize this, and thus they will come down on you, and hard - they will use the cream of the crop when it comes to AIs. You meet up with a certain Normanite called Bianca, acting essentially as a vicious rival throughout the game and challenging you even outside of the scope of The Betrayed. When you face their leader, a wise yet brutal Fionite elder, he will give you quite the suprise as he uses a Rapidash descended from Blanche's own as you meet up in a clash of the titans.
In the end, you are able to coerce them to work out their troubles with the Pokemon League peacefully, and the old restriction borne of irreverent rashness is lifted at long last. Bianca turns from a hellbent rival into a charitable adversary, encouraging you to beat her to the Championship yet at the same time doubting your potential to do such. Throughout the rest of your gameplay, the two of you establish a firm love-hate relationship as you continually and simultaneously support and egg on each other.
storyline
while an amazing concept for a villain, I doubt that will be implimented at all into a pokemon storyline, it's far too complex. It isn't that complexity is bad, or that pokemon isn't complex, but it isn't supposed to have a complex storyline.
I want an entirely new direction for conflicts in a pokemon games.
The only Team anything operating in Shinou is a single boss followed by two lackies, they consider themselves the most evil team in Shinou, but this is only true because they're the only team in Shinou.
You meet them every so often on your pokemon journey, but everytime they attempt anything, they fail miserably with humourous results, much like the Team Rocket of the anime. However, they are competent battlers, each with their own pokemon teams that get more powerful each time you meet them.
However, the main conflicts the next game should be have should focus more on rivials rather then on an evil team.
Nah, the history within the game wouldn't be that ostensibly exhaustive, but that information which isn't necessary for plot development could hopefully be discovered within the library facility that I would like to see implemented in the game.
While an anathema family clan would be awesome beyond belief, just having a group of rough-and-tough thugs that don't have as tight an organization as the former groups would be pretty awesome. It could be like a coalition of motorcycle gangs that occasionally dressed up in black sweatshirts and ski caps to ransack the Pokemarts and museums of precious valuables, and should you be led astray into a dark alley you can expect one of them to steal your Pokemon, which you must then go about and pursue to reattain possession of it.
We shouldn't have an evil team at all. Time and time again they've equated to nothing but lame. Cipher was an improvement but still...
I would like to see more emphasis on charachter development and a real plot line(s) other than taking down dorks in Halloween costumes. Maybe facing mercenaries or pirates who actually plague coastal cities. I know that this is Pokemon but they're should be some other motivation to complete the game other than becoming the best trainer.
Agreed Eszett. A few gangs here or there who are actually dangerous wouldn't be so bad.
First off, you can't develop a character that:
*Doesn't talks at all.
*Is just a reflection of yourself.
*Has no past.
As for the plot... would be nice. Still nonexistant, would be complicated for deluded kids and such.
Evil Team? Something that's actually menacing and has a good control over a big chunk of the Region, or at the very least a City. Kinda like Saffron, but entirely controlled by them. With actual plans and motives besides "profit", "recovering boss" or "shaping up the world to our liking".
They should succeed in a few or even in most situations, corner you and take you as hostage, cause actual panic all over the place, and such...
A new one plz, by the way. Aqua and Magma disbanded. Team Rocket is pathetic, not to mention disbanded as well. Cipher would be good, but they've disbanded as well (Not really.) and are secluded in a very far away region (Not really.). :D
I'll just say, fantastic idea Eszett. Pokémon would be much more interesting with you in command. :(
And well... that's it. :eek:
Why the hell would I be talking about the main charachter? I meant the people that you meet during the game. Yes, you're smart, but not the only one with common sense.
Emerald Shinigami
You forgot to mention Cipher and Team Snagem from Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. Well since we can only guess here now, I'll make mines:
Team Scarow: An organization that participates in Pokémon Contests and always tries to kill a specific boy and girl. Apparently their leader is Harley and their mindless slaves are called the Strawies.
