Dear Private,

You have just been called to become a part of the Guardian Army for the goddess, Anarel. You are going to be challenging the great and mighty Church of Cyhir, an isle off the coast of Hoenn that is aiming to defeat her and end the reign of our natural friends, our pokémon. With Anarel’s death, they shall die with her. Please, read the following and report at once to headquarters off the coast of Johto on Havari Island.

Take this letter with you. Think of it as...your ticket.

Sir Serius Northington

You all read this with great curiosity, awaiting what great quests could come your way. However, your concentration and confidence if denting as you realize your opponent, the great Church of Cyhir. You brush it off, taking it as no big deal, or at least some of you do. You continue on your way as you board the ships provided for you by the A.A., Anarel's Army. The boats are in fairly good shape and the crew looks to be trustworthy, hoping for a safe voyage to Havari Island, where you will begin your adventure and receive your orders in the briefing.

You and your Pokemon reach the port and see a large, wooden ship custom made by the A.A.. Upon boarding and entering your respective cabins, you notice that you're actually paired with someone in a room. Obviously, this Sir Serius Northington expects you all to be comfortable with each other before you reach Havari Island, as their will be no time for niceties, and it will help you work better together on the battlefield...assuming you make it that far. You realize that this is no more an adventure than a deadly one, and one mistake could mean the end of your life. It will take you four days to reach the island, so make the best of it, as they could be the last of your lives.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alright, so basically, you're starting out on this ship, where you'll be paired together with someone. This is a time for us to get used to RPing before I actually start doing quadruple roles and the like. I have picked one of you to be co-owner, and if that person doens't mind, I'd like GoldenHouou to. GoldenHouou, feel free to object, but I felt that you might could help the group when I'm gone and give you the control of the NPC's, as it could be a little too much for me. If you don't mind doing it, that is. I understand if you don't. Also, your character is on the ship, and during the briefing she will get the official orders to move to the enemy base.
Rules:
No Script; No Smilies. I don't expect you guys to break this, as you all seem very capable RPGers.
Absolutely NO Bunnying of characters. You'll get kicked out. You should all know what this means.
No Stupid Behavior. This falls under use of sex, drugs, extreme violence, and just over-the-top randomness. Kissing and the like is fine, but let's not go into the finer tunes of what happened later.
No Tiny Posts. Let's all aim for a few paragraphs at the least. At least four sentences. If you continue to do so, your character WILL get killed, 100% guarantee. Don't let this happen.
No Godlike Characters. In battle, you will post what you're going to do, and I shall do the actual battle recapping (anyone in Fizzy Bubbles, like an update) to see who kills what or who gets injured. I won't be having my character be all good, since he's a healer, he won't be doing much battling though, but given the chance, I'll make it fair. GoldenHouou may, on occasion when I'm gone and everyone's posted what they're going to do, do that. But I will do that for the most part.
Everything else in the Rules and Regulations Thread.
Room Compartments:
Barrocks 154: Zeeren Jutios and Roth (who needs a last name -_-).
Barrocks 132: Alexhaur Blackgale and Rynor Fawkes.
Barrocks 097: Kyle Amanti and Dacron Helios.
Barrocks 113: Leslie Carruth and Xanthra Yelralb.
Barrocks 166: Sharah Thorel and Dagran Damansis.
Barrocks 083: Selene Lynara (sorry) and Deirdre Silverium.
Sorry if this is a bad start, and a short one at that, but I need to prepare the rest of the RPG while you guys do this. I'll post with my character after a few of you post. Let's get this started, and I promise, it'll get good. You just need to hang on with me and my common Writer's Block and possible laziness. GoldenHouou, get back to me ASAP via PM with your answer. Thank you all for your patience, I really do appreciate it.
Xanthra held the uopened lentgh of parchment in her hand as she sat lazily on a knoll.
Petting Abyssa affectionately, she muttered, "So it begins. Let's go, there's a special little event coming up at the ship. We wouldn't want to miss it, wouldn't we?"
A smile tugged at her lips and she turned her blindfolded eyes to the seaside town below where a wooden ship awaited at the dock. With the wind tugging at her black hair, Xanthra descended the hill with Abyssa following. It took mere minutes to reach the small village port. The crew looked curiously at the blindfolded girl who could navigate better than a person with eyes. She ascended the rickety ship and asked politely for her cabin.
"This way, ma'am." the sailor replied, nervously leading Xanthra through a door in the galley and through a hallway.
He presented a door to Xanthra, and she opened it. Abyssa's eyes searched the room carefully. It was plain without the excessive frivellry other rooms might have. A lantern hung at the ceiling and the room consisted of two beds and a small desk. Xanthra looked out the window with her sightless eyes.
"This will be so much fun." she smiled to herself.
Zeeren quitly gazed upon the clouds, pondering what itll be like fighting for the other side.
Zeron asked in pokemon language,"Scept, Scep, Tile?!"
Zeeren replied, saying,"Oh no Zeron, there nothing troubling me. I was just thinking how itll be fighting for the other,good, side after we fought for the Church of Cyhir. I mean we always thought that they were right, but boy, were we wrong! Anyways lets just enjoy the trip, Zeron!"
Suddenly a stout man in a sailors outfit came up and said, "Ar' ya' Mr.Zeeren?" Zeeren nodded his head.
"Well come with me and i'll sho' ya' your room!" said the sailor. He led Zeeren and Zeron to a green door with a blue handle. He opened it and there was a young man sleeping on the second bed. The room had a table, two beds, and a slightly large space for the pokemon, which there was already a flygon there.
"Thanks!" said Zeeren. The sailor replied,"Sure, if ya' need anytin' just come to the deck and ill be ther'! By the way that man sleeping ther' is Mr.Roth, your roomate. Well ill be goin' now!" and he left.
Zeeren looked around the room and said,"Well I guess this is how it starts." And Zeron replied with a,"Scep, Sceptile!"
Leslie walked up to the harbor cautiously. She was coming... but this seemed so different. She did not know what was in store for her, but nonetheless walked right up to the boat. The guard stopped her. "Your invitation, miss?" He asked in a rough tone.
Leslie flashed it before him and giggled. How this reminded her of a fancy job... But of course, this time it was an invitation, not her job receipt. She smiled with laughing eyes and walked around to the railing near her room.
Fliera, her Ninetales, strode casually around Leslie’s legs. They got on the boat and walked around casually, looking at the people still coming up. Of course, this quickly became boring and she walked into her barracks, number 113. In there was a girl, her eyes covered as if she were blind.
“Hi…” Leslie said, trying to be courteous. “I guess we’re in here together for the next four days…” She sat her things on her bed and Fliera curled up on it.
Typhlogirl
keep battling on!
Dagran closed the letter with a sigh.
"Well Calig, it looks like we're taking a trip out to the beyond!" she said, pocketing the parchment and turning to her Typhlosion, who looked unimpressed by this new revelation. He scratched at a cut on his ear, opening the wound and making blood stream down his scarred face.
"Oh honestly! I just finished cleaning that!" the girl exclaimed, annoyed. The fiery pokemon ignored her, and started licking the blood off his paws.
"You're hopeless, you know that?"
The Typhlosion looked at her, his blood making a mask over his face. Dagran smiled despite herself, and picked up her small pack and javelin.
"We'd best be off. It's not too far."
The pair stood up and continued their walk down the path in the forest. It was a sunny day, with bright dapples of sunlight streaming through the emerald green leaves. They had started their journey a day ago, when the messengar (sp?) had brought the letter. Caligularn trotted dutifully alongside his partner, snapping at the occasional butterfly. Caligularn didn't like butterflies.
"Hey look Calig, we're here! The harbour!"
From their vantage point, the pair could see a bustling little seaside town, with many boats and ships moored in its marina. Soldiers were gathered around one.
"I guess that must be ours. Are you coming?"
The Typhlosion responsed with a loud hiss. He stepped back, snapping, the flames on his neck rearing up to show his anger.
"What's wrong?" Dagran asked worriedly. Caligularn snarled at the boat.
"...Oooh. You don't like boats! Of course, the water! Aw, you don't have to worry. This crew know what they're doing! There's no reason for you to be afraid."
The Typhlosion made a 'humph!' sound, and turned away. Dagran rolled her eyes.
"Okay, okay, you weren't afraid. Just...nervous?" Caligularn glared at her for a second, then nodded his approval. He began to jog down the path to the boat.
"Oi! Wait! I've gotta come with you! You'll scare people if you run with blood all over your face!" Dagran cried, panicked. She raced after her pokemon.
The Typhlosion dashed up to the ship and stopped in front of it. Many crew members shouted in shock, and raised crossbows.
"WAIT! Please don't shoot him, he's with me!" Dagran yelled, waving her arms madly as she belted up to the ship. Gasping, she showed them the letter.
"I'm...I'm here to go to Havari Island." she panted. "This...this is my pokemon. He...he won't hurt you if you leave him alone."
One man, who gave of an air of authority, came over. He took the letter from the girl, skimmed it, and nodded.
"You are in Cabin 166. It's down on the bow."
Dagran nodded, still panting after her dash after Caligularn, and walked up the gangplank, the Typhlosion trailing her with a diabolical look on his horrofying face.
"Here we go!" Dagran pushed open the door. Two bunks laid inside, one on each wall. A space was in front for belongings.
"I guess we'll take this one!" Dagran said happily, sitting on the left one. Caligularn jumped onto it's twin.
"Calig, you can't sleep there. We have to share a room with another person." she said, leaning her javelin against the wall.
The Typhlosion growled viciously, and settled himself into the covers. Dagran rolled her eyes.
"Fine, but you have to get off when the other person comes, alright?"
A snort was her only answer.
Dagran sighed, and drew her knife, getting out a small tin of polish. May as well take care of the equipment while she waited for departure.
OOC: Ah, I didn't read this thread until I answered to your PM. Well my answer is still the same, but reading this thread answers to my other question as well. :p
IC:
Sharah under a tree, near a riverbank, her eyes fixed on a piece of paper he held on her hand. She had read it a while ago, but her eyes were not ablle to rid themselves of reading it over and over again, like they would ave trouble understanding what it said, or rather, what it meant. But Sharah's mind knew what this meant; she would have to return where she had been born.
Her expression became distant, her eyes still re-reading the letter.
Closer to the shimmering river, on the slightly wet grass, layed Luna, leaning against her right paw, and playing with the grass with her left paw. She looked tired, annoyed and very dissapointed, like people do when they have continously failed in something they want to do. This time, what she wanted to do was to catch one of the various fish Pokénon swimming in the river, occasionaly emerging from the waters. But every time Luna had had one in it's sight and her paw's range, a loud screach had scared away the precious fish.
The source of the screach was a small, brown colored bird flying overhead in a circle, crying out its name jouously, now that Sharah, instead of telling him not to, was consentrated on the letter.
Luna's bored face changed to a worried as she looked back at her trainer, seeing her still in the same pose as before. They were supposed to just take a short break here and read the letter she had received in the previous town, and then continue to meet their employer, who had told he had a new job, and a new group to infiltrate in. And from the looks of things, they were late now. But Sharah seemed to have forgotten it completely, her hands still squeezing the letter. But at last, it seemed that she had gotten somekind of idea as to what to do now.
The Church of Cyhir... that name had began ringing in her mind from the very moment she read it from the paper, continously reminding her of past events. Yes, this was it now. This was her chance to avenge. On behalf of all the Pokémon, the only ones she cared of, she would help to defeat the Church. But... how? She was not one to fight in big armies, she was the sneaky type, infiltrating and gathering information.
Then it hit her. Surely they had a need for one like that in the Guardian Army of the Goddes as well. And who would be a better choice than me, who knows of both the church and the tricks of infiltrating? She got up quickly, a smile crossing her face, as she squeezed the paper in her hand even more, almost ripping it. She had decided, and would tell her plan to her Pokémon companions at once.
"I'll do it", she announced to the two Pokémon. "This is a perfect opportunity. I was part of the church once, and none knows what happened to me after all these years", a devious grin rose on her face, like it always did when she had a plan.
Luna jumped up and nodded in agreement, while Dust descended a bit, crying out its name louder than ever. Turning around, Sharah left walking, the group of three heading towards the harbor. Too bad it was on the otherside of the huge grassy fields nearby.
...
"We.... are here..." Sharah panted after many hours of walking, now leaning on her knees as she looked down at a small harbor from a hill. "Now where are we goin to- oh", she noticed one of the boats being guarded, and much bigger than the others, which only had few fishermen surrounding them.
Looking back at the way she had came from, she saw Luna walking up to her, breathing heavily. On her back lay a small bird, Dust, to be exact, looking extremely exchausted. Sharah picked him up and smiled. "Heh, at last, you energy runs out too", she got no answer, just a loud sound of Dust breathing. "That's what you get from flying in a circle all day..." Sharah said grinning, her voice being more entertained than worried.
With Luna following close behind, she began her descend from the hill, soon reaching the harbor and the ship. As she was about to walk up on the deck, she got stopped by one of the guards in an armor of sorts. "You invitation?" he asked roughly, with a hint of suspicion in his voice.
Sharah stopped on her tracks, feeling she would be filled with cold water. She wasn't sure had she kept the letter. Quickly searching trough all of her pockets, (which was many, for she had more hidden pockets than normal pockets) she finally sighed, handing the paper to the guard, hoping that the condition of the paper was irrelevant. It seemed that it was, for with a nodd, the guard stepped out of the way, allowing her to board the ship.
The guard was left scraching his head, apparently pondering what the white stuff on the paper was. As Sharah noticed that, she gave a glare to Dust.
Sharah was about to step in the ship to choose her cabin, when the man ran up to her. "If it is about the white stuff, Dust had-" Sharah stopped her sentence as she saw the man had no inention of complaining.
"I was just about to say that your cabin is the number 166. Oh and here..." he handed Sharah back the letter, which Sharah took with her middle finger and her thumb, hiding it in one of her pockets once more.
With the number 166 in mind, she walked in the cabin room area, and soon found the right one. Dust quickly flapped away from Sharah as it heard that someone was in the cabin already. Being what he was, over-curious and enthusiasic, Dust couldn't just rest when there were new people to meet. Luna rolled her eyes upon seeing the cheery pidgeon, and just walked up to the door and pushed it open with her paw.
As Sharah stepped in, she noticed that there indeed were others as well. Another girl and her Typholosion, who seemingly had claimed the other bed as his. Sharah looked at the girl in a manner that asked her to order the Typholosion to move, but Luna didn't want to wait that long. Instead, she just walked up to the Fire-Type, and opened her mouth, ready to bite the Typholposion, but was stopped by Sharah who gasped and snatched Luna on her arms. That Typholosion didn't seem to be one you wanted to annoy.
Meanwhile, Dust had began his flight close to the ceiling, singing his "beautiful" songs as he flew in a circle.
Lady Myuu's Opposite
Alexhaur shrugged his spear into a position where it was not a problem. He now and then scouted down on the earth or checked the letter in his pocket just to be sure. "Now then, I think we can land now." Alexhaur informed his Pidgeot. It nodded and dived down. Alexhaur tucked the letter back in his pocket and adapted a flat position along the Pidgeot's back.
The bird-Pokemon turned his beak downwards and started falling. He adjusted his wings alongside his body and let himself shoot as an arrow straight down. Alexhaur did a quick prayer as the Pidgeot let his wings free again and folded them out. They were now a couple of centimeteres above ground level. Pidgeot let the talons start touching the ground and a meter afterwards, he stopped. Alexhaur rose up and smiled. "Nice flying." he said. "Not this big chance of crashing this time." The Pidgeot shrugged in his own way and Alexhaur started walking.
He walked quickly, worried he could be late. As he walked for a while, a pleasent breeze greeted him, carrying a salty smell. "Sea ahead." Alexhaur announced and started to run. The Pidgeot rose in the air and floated after him.
The ship was nice. Large and wooden. A couple of sailors were around on the deck, arranging different ropes and carrying things here and there. Alexhaur ignored them and walked up to a man behind a desk. The desk contained a list, a quill and some ink. Alexhaur found the letter and showed it the man. He nodded a couple of times before leading Alexhaur and Pidgeot down under deck. The man gave Alexhaur a key and walked back up on deck, after showing Alexhaur the door.
The room was empty. Both of people and of anything special. It was a desk, two beds and two chairs. Simple. In the roof hung an unlit lamp, probably to use at night or something. Alexhaur dumped down on one of the beds and his Pidgeot placed himself in a corner and rested after the flight trip. Alexhaur dozed off as he waited for the owner of the other bed.
Saffire Persian
Now you see me...
Selene Lynara
The Church of Cyhir - that name came as a surprise to Selene as she read the letter once more as she arrived at the docks. Overhead, the cry of Wingulls sounded periodically, while her Persian, Lyra stared up at them with occasional predatory glances.
The Church was a foe not often trifled with, and having been allied with many different groups due to her occupation, she knew that many of them - most - lost. The Church of Cyhir was a strong opponent, and Selene knew it would take much skill to even bother challanging the church - especially with smaller groups, though Selene was an advocate of "Quality over Quantity."
Numbers do not always win, but they have before.
She showed the man near the ramp that led to the boat, her 'ticket' seeing him give it a quick glance over, staring at the Persian with distrustful brown eyes. He could see him stare at her to - considering her occupation as an Assassin, she tended to get those looks fairly often.
"Well, Ms. Lynara, whenever you chose to go to your barrack - you're partnered with a Sorceress known as Deirdre Silverium - keep in mind the number of your room, 068."
"Certainly," Selene replied, in a flat tone, covered by a small accent. She jerked her head towards the top of the boat, and Lyra bounded up the ramp energetically, looking upward to stare at the gulls that were diving willy-nilly into the water. She was one of the few Persian's Selene knew who actually didn't mind water. She reached the Persian's side, gesturing to the bow of the ship. "Come, Huntress of the Stars, we might as well become familiar with the layout of this ship. Keep your eye out for a sorceress, too.. I would like to get to know this Deirdre whom we are to be sharing a room with."
Kyle ran as fast as he could to the boat, knowing that he was probably going to be late. Huffing and puffing in severe frustration and anxiety and brown hair flying around his head, he reached the top of the hill overlooking the dock. He'd arrived early, very early, considering the ship didn't leave for another few hours. In reality, he should have been glad, but he was upset for having worried himself that much.
Gripping his staff and then throwing it down, he sat on a log, putting his head down onto his lap as his companion casually reached the top of the hill. The cat looked over at Kyle, blue eyes flashing in amusement as her friend caught his breath. She flicked her tail back and forth, the beige and lavender hair gleaming in the sunlight. Perking up her ears, she heard the many types of Pokémon crying from the inner depths of the forest, as well as the calls of the ship crews from down below. Turning back round to her companion, she walked over, putting her head upon his lap.
<Aren’t you coming?> Serafina asked him, perking up one of her eyebrows questioningly. <Or are you going to be a chicken and sit there like the giant toad you are? Either way, I’m going.> Serafina began to walk down the hill, but Kyle lifted his head back off his knees, green eyes glaring into Serafina’s as well. He stood up and picked his staff back up, checking it for any scratch marks or splinters before responding.
“Of course,” he muttered. Serafina smiled in victory and pranced down the hill, flicking her tail once more. Kyle rolled his eyes; Serafina was always antagonizing him, but he wouldn’t ever let go of her for anything. He smiled, realizing how good of a relationship he had with his companion before realizing, halfway to the dock, that he’d misplaced his letter needed to board the boat. “Wait! Wait Serafina!” he yelled, digging through his robes. Going through layer after layer, he just ripped it off, revealing his leather interior clothing before finding it in the gap between his pants and his skin. Pulling it out furiously, he put back on his clothes, fuming at his stupidity.
<…I didn’t need to see that.>
“Be quiet, you. You didn’t see anything else but my arms and legs.”
<True, I’ve seen the rest of you. Lemme tell you, you’re much better off with your clothes on.> Glaring at his cat, Kyle fixed his robes up a bit before walking any farther, letter in one hand, staff in other, sword in holster, Delcatty behind. Getting to the port was troubling work, as at the moment, people were rushing everywhere, buying supplies and fleeing the country because much of the Pokémon-loving nation was in preparation for war with the Church of Cyhir. Hearing the name caused Kyle to shiver with fear. He’d heard rumors of the Church’s vast numbers and stories of their invincible defenses, as well as myths of their empire-obliviating strength. Shaking off these notions knowing that he’d just cause himself to regret his decision more, he flashed his letter to the guard of the boat.
“You’re in. Go to room number 97, where you’ll be paired with a man by the name of Dacron Helios,” the guard said gruffly, his voice muffled slightly by his bulky red armor. Thanking the guard, he rushed past the guard onto the ship itself, Serafina immediately taking to her new environment by running around the sides to admire the many fish in the water, becoming fascinated by practically everything. Moving to the interior, he found his way to room number 97 despite much pushing, shoving, cat-calling and shouting. He walked into his room, immediately flopping onto his bed as he awaited his roommate, sword and stave by his side.
And before he knew it, he’d fallen asleep, Serafina sleeping on his feet as well.
Would everyone please take notice to the new rule I’ve placed. You will see another “god character” forewarning, as well as how battles will be taken. For the remainder of the RP, I or GoldenHouou will be using BIC: Back in Character for our characters and RCB: Recap of Battle for how a round of RPs in battle will be taken. If anyone in this RPG knows of Fizzy Bubbles, I know Saffire Persian does, this is taken like an update. Basically, just post your RP with what you’ll be doing in battles, taking care to not say that you killed a person or that someone died or you got hurt. I shall decide that we either I or Golden Houou does the recap. If anybody has any questions, please PM me.
Once everyone has had a least one post or so, there will be an event taking place that is vital to me seeing as you will deal with the other aspect of this RP. Thanks for your patience.
The dock was bustling with people going about their own daily routines. No one noticed the figure standing in the shadows of one of the many alley ways. If someone would turn to look down the alley they would see one of the most wanted men in all the lands. Despite the fact that Dacron has performed many good deeds, many people still saw him as a menace to society and needed to be apprehended.
Dacron looked at the letter in his hands. Someone obviously thought he had reformed because why else would anyone ask for his help. Of course even if they didn’t want his help he was going to give it. He had heard of this Church of Cyhir and what they wanted to accomplish. If there was one thing that got him furious, it was someone wanting to hurt pokemon. Even though he was raised by an evil woman, she still taught him to respect all pokemon.
Since he did not want to be seen by anyone around, Dacron called Loki to come to him. From the shadows on the ground arose the ghostly shape of Dacron’s best and only friend in the world Loki, the Gengar.
“Loki use Haze please.” Dacron asked his friend. Loki lifted his hands up and out of nowhere a thick black fog started to roll into the bay and the docks.
With everyone distracted with the haze, Dacron quickly made his way to the ship. As he tried to get pass the guard that was stationed at the entrance of the ship, Dacron felt something grab him.
“Ah. Mr. Helios, we have been expecting you. You like to make quite an entrance don’t you. Don’t worry, I won’t turn you in. Now I just need to see your invitation,” he said as he held out his hand. Dacron handed him the paper.
“Thank you very much. You are in cabin 97. Your roommate has already arrived. His name is Kyle Amanti. Also do you think you could lift this haze now? Thank you.” The guard said as he let Dacron go.
“Loki you can stop with the haze now.” Dacron said as he walked up the plank. Behind him he could hear screaming coming from the crowd below as they saw who was coming on the ship.
Great they gave me a roommate. Just what I didn’t want. Hopefully this guy isn’t some kind of healer or somethin’. I absolutely hate those pacifistic nut balls. Dacron thought to himself as he walked toward his cabin.
As he entered the cabin he saw that his roommate was already sleeping on one of the beds. And right next to him sat a Delcatty. It woke up as Dacron and Loki walked into the room. It started to growl at both of them as Dacron sat down on the second bed. As he looked over at the sleeping body on the other bed, Dacron saw that the guy was wearing white robes. White robes could only mean one thing.
“A healer. Great!” Dacron scoffed under his breath.
Rynor trudged through the packed streets. People and pokemon were everywhere. He checked to make sure Chases' apricorn was stored safely in his cloak. He knew he blended in with the crowd, but just in case, he pulled his hood over, and began darting toward the ship.
Rynor showed his invitation to the lady at the boats entrance. He was panting, "Sorry, I was, kinda late." He said. He looked around. People filled the streets. Any of these could be spies. Rynor scurried onto the ship. He looked here and there for his room. Soon he found it. He was amazed at the size of the vessel. The ship was larger than many sailing boats he had seen. He looked around again, to see many sailors and young men. He shrugged and walked into his room.
Pidgeot waked up as a man appeared in the doorway. It clicked its beak and Alexhaur snapped out of his half-asleep status. His roommate had appeared. Alexhaur rubbed his eyes and took a better look at the new guy.
He was thin and nimble, it seemed. He looked like he could run a mile, and that fast. A long cloak covered most of him, but a pair of boots were sticking out from it. Alexhaur squinted at the man, and shrugged. "Now then, so you own the other bed, eh?" Alexhaur rose up on his feet. "I'm Alexhaur. You?"
Rynor noticed the man in the corner. The man got up a faced Rynor. "Now then, so you own the other bed, eh?" The man rose up on his feet. "I'm Alexhaur. You?" Rynor hesitated. "I'm Rynor." He said calmly. Rynor set his provisions on his bed. He felt much safer on the boat. He let his squirtle, Chase, out of it's apricorn, to rest on the bed. Rynor noticed he was in a middle-sized room, that could fit the two beds, and some desks. "Chase, stay here." He said to the squirtle. "I'm going to get a bite to eat."
"I'm Leslie. What's your name?"
"Have you traveled miles only to ask me such a simple question?"
"Of course not."
"Then why should I answer?"
Leslie laughed, "You're trying to evade the question."
"I am? Well, its so much fun when I use the Socratic method on people instead of telling them my name is Xanthra."
"Xanthra's your name?" Leeslie exclaimed.
"Oh, I told you?" Xanthra asked, then suddenly burst into a melodious laughter.
"You can't be a warrior since your blind. What are you here for?"
"I'm merely a messenger and an enforcer. My master wants everything to go smoothly. It takes too long when people make stupid mistakes that prohibate my master from fufilling the duties which must be done. If they don't go as planned, then the war ..." Xanthra trailed off for a moment, "Oops, nevermind. Just forget what I said."
Leslie eyes her suspiciously, but, nevertheless, didn't object. Perhaps there was some hidden reason to Xanthra's strange speaking.
Xanthra had enjoyed a quite, nice conversation with Leslie but ended her conversation early to taste some salty air outside the ship before it departed.
As usual, Abyssa was at her heels, watching the harbor on the port side with Xanthra.
How Xanthra wished to see the sky. Even though she knew its exact color, texture and the precise position of the Sun, she still couldn't see it herself. Her abilities limited her from seeing the real world in order for her to see.
She heard very quiet steps behind her, but what was the use of turning? She already saw the spy sneaking into the cargo hold.
Rynor would have to find where all the food was. He decided it was worth it, though. He was starving. He asked one of the men on the ship. "Sorry sir, I have no clue." The sailor said. Well, that wasn't much information. Rynor thought. He headed back to his room. He would eat one of the snacks he brought along.
When he got back to his room, he laid down on his bed, and petted Chase. He searched in his packs for the berry powder he had made, after finding some berries in the forest on his way here. He dumped equal amounts into two seprate hollow wood tubes, like skinny cups, and handed one to chase. The two poured their powder down their throats, and into their hungry tummies.
Not a Seadra
After finishing her conversation with the preculiar Xanthra, Leslie went to the bed and sat on it. The smell of salt drifted in from the harbor, making the small room feel much less stuffy. It was nice, especially because she was so used to wide open places, not stuffy little spaces.
Leslie was about to lie down when she realized that her Ninetales, Fliera, had laid down in the most particular position so that her tails covered up half of the bed. Leslie shoved them away and mumbled, "Move over, lazy fox." With a grunt of discontent, Fliera moved her tails so that her partner could lie down.
Leslie stared at the ceiling, bored stiff. Maybe they'll call us soon. She thought restlessly, playing with her hair. It was dull in the small room except for the two girls and thier pokemon, along with Leslie's shiny sword. With a yawn, she rested her head on the pillow and tried to get a nap, but of course she wouldn't...
