Which character do you think was most evil in the show?

I'd say Bashou and Buson, to be honest. o__0 Just the way they went about things. Didn't care about a damn thing except themselves.

Sadly, I never saw the Raikou special. Out of what I did see I might say Archie. He was honestly insane with the blue orb and his intentions were almost pure evil. I just can't take Giovanni seriously any more ever since Meowths boss wakes up fantasys.

Professor Sebastian... the voice he was given was the creepiest ever... I loved it so much...

JJ&M (if you honestly take them seriously)

Whether you'd consider them to be evil though. Some of them had just causes/learned a lesson.

Loads of characters in the pokemon anime are either jokers or such. Even Giovanni, portrayed by J/J as a guy who doesn't want pokemon for world domination, but for his personal enjoyment.

But the darkest character I vote is Butler from the fake groudon movie.

Sebastian. He's really evil with his sinister theories. JJ&M could learn a thing or two from him.

Professor Sebastian or Butler. P_S because he's just weird and his freaky voice and Butler because he had and wanted deep revenge against Team Magma for dismissing him.

Both really creepy. Giovanni is dark too. VERY dark. >O

Do the words dark character and pokemon actually go together? Giovanni used to be dark, but they've turned him into a joke with the annoying (and homoerotic) boss fantasies; and Jesse and James aren't evil at all. They're good deep down. I guess a few of the minor team members, whether it be Rocket Magma or Aqua could be considered evil, but for the most part the pokemon anime doesn't feature much darkness

Giovanni's still pretty sinister. We just see Meowth's idealized version of him in the fantasies--and Meowth is *weird*.

Why do people say that Butler was a dark character? He clearly had a conscience, and wasn't *anywhere* near being evil.

I think Giovanni's the most sinister... He's not just some madman out to rule the world... he's actually got a plan and has invested a good amount of time/resources in training pawns and building facilities all over Kanto/Johto, it seems. Not to mention the whole Mewtwo thing... Running a gym AND being the leader of a massive crime organization that aren't just environmentalists gone insane? XD Pretty good cover, i guess. That and he's the boss of most of the other "villains" that appear in the anime. Unfortunately for all of the villains, Pokemon also seems to be becoming more and more light-hearted as we go... o__0

Butler was just... revenge-happy. XD And misunderstood and kinda crazy. He WAS dark at first, i guess, but he turned out good in the end...

I have to say either Prof. Sebastian or the guy from the Celebi movie. I stopped taking Giovanni seriously after Mewtwo Returns, where he fell into the likes of Dr. Claw and Cobra Commander.

I mean, you do have to have some kind of darkness in you to capture an innocent pokemon (i.e Jirachi) and torture it and take it's energy just to satisfy your own needs. D:

Jesse, James and Meowth. =0 Nah, just kidding. I'd have to say... Mewtwo. But if it's a human character you want, I'd have to say Archie. He freaked me out with the two Orbs.
