Darkness and Metal Energies Become Common

I want to know what you people think about the new ruling in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl TCG series where they will produce Darkness and Metal Energies as commons, allowing you to have any amount of them in your deck (You can still use the old ones, but they are still counted as Special Energies).
My opinion about this is I think it is absolutely great! All my life I have wanted to make a darkness deck, but I just didn't have the energies, and when I met people with them, they wouldn't trade, so I am relieved that they will be creating them as commons.

What do you guys think?

Wow, that's awsome. So what ur saying is that we can use any amount of them in our decks just like basic energys¿ If so, will they still have the little bonus effect¿ I wouldn't see that fair if they still gave those 2 energys the bonus effect if u can still use an unlimited supply of them in a deck.

I already have a pure darkness deck. I just use 4 darkness energys, 4 rainbow, 2 double rainbow, 3 multi, & a couple basics. It works pretty good, but now that we can use an unlimited supply, that makes me really excited for the new sets even more.

Oh noes, toast =O
But the special ones still do, which is nice. I may make a dark/Steel deck when D/P comes out, If so It'll probably use more old cards than the new.

It makes sense.

With more and more Dark and Steel Pokemon being released, unless they're given a big advantage over the more common types, using Dark/Steel types is impractical.

Great...now Nintendo, or whoever makes the cards now, ruins my two favorite pokémon types.
They're just banalyzing the Dark and Metal energies. I seriously think that the added effects made them the best energy cards out there. They will become like the regular energy types and loose all their specialness. 4 Energies were enough for me.
It seems that ever since the TCG was no longer made by Wizards, the game lost some serious strategy ( does anybody remmember the Neo series? Now those were strategic! ).
And now, because of this, the game rewinded back to those retarded times when "the strongest beast wins!!!".
Seriously, Nintendo, cut the bull**** and make some decent cards. Or at least re-edit Neo.

but its interesting that these cards are the only ones being changed
what about the rainbow energy why not make those in common

Rainbow energy should definitely not be made common... there's no rainbow-type. Such a special card shouldn't be like all the others...

I don't really like the idea of Darkness Energy or Metal Energy being basic Energy cards in the first place...and I'm crossing my fingers that when the set gets released in English, Nintendo opts to remove those two cards from it. It wouldn't be good for the game in my opinion.

I'm glad this is goin to happen. I have been wanting the darkness to b a basic energy since neo. It's about time they did this. The bonus effect the old ones had was alright, but I perfer it to b a basic so I will always have a darkness energy to put on my darkness Pokèmon for an atk.

I'm pretty confident that Nintendo will keep the two energy cards as basic when the set comes to Western territories.

Clearly we're great!
Maybe now I'll actually *make* a dark deck.

I had a pretty good Dark deck, and all the Darkness energies I needed were 4. This is the worst move Nintendo made TCG-wise.

Perhaps you were able to make your deck work with the special energy cards, but there'd be a lot of people who'll be able to construct a dark/metal deck a lot more easily now...

Meh, you're probablly right. Sorry, but I am just tired of Nintendo messing up the game and making it worse even as we speak...

It a good thing. This means a more mixed deck. Those who use the Special Dark will still have an advantage with the 10 pt boost.

The only bad thing that happened to the tcg was the removal of level on the cards. They made trades easier. ;025;

I belive that the levels are coming back on the D/P cards.
