I know this has been asked more times than I have blinked, but does anyone know WHY this feature was removed from these games? I didn't find the answer stickied, and I've heard rumors about complaining parents, but no solid reason. A link to the answer will suffice.

I heard it was because parents were complaining about their kids staying up late to catch Pokemon or something. I dunno.

6 PM is late?!

I think it's because last time, it stressed the internal battey a little to much, or something like that.

But if the GBC was capable of doing it...

Well, there were some problems. The game would have a problem of having a dead internal battery and it would stop functioning, or something like that.

RSE did have an internal battery, but they used it in a smaller degree and they didn't have as many problems. It would stop within a year and Berries and Pokerus (personal exp. here) would stop from changing and other than time, the events that happen in the game would stop, including the TV Annoucements that advertise a sale in a number of days.

Since the DS has a clock already, Animal Crossing did it, and the heroes seem to have watches on there arms, it will probably come back in Pokemon DP, but that's a different topic. I'm just saying so you'd know.

My source of interest in this topic was to know the chances D/P may support. The DS's internal battery shall proove useful and GF has no reason to disclude it this time.
