Which do you think (out of curiosity) would be a fitting punishment for those trainers who use hacked Pokemon on Wi-Fi?

I thought Nintendo made some sort of barrier that prevented hacked/cheated Pokemon from being used/traded online? If I'm wrong, just battle with friend codes.

None of them. If anything, I'd simply notify the trainer recieving said hacked Pokémon in a trade 'X's HITMONTOP (or whatever) is irregular. Do you wish to continue?'

But I honestly don't care about WiFi cheaters.

EDIT: Above poster, nope. Only PBR WiFi has that, I think. ^_^

Not in D/P. Last time I checked, my Mimic Glitched Space Breaking Mew goes right through it. No I don't cheat. I was testing

Their game catridge should explode. Being serious Nintendo should have come up with something which recognises hacked pokemon, and then bans them. But like the poster above said, its a friemd codes system, so we should already know and trust who we are battling.

B, final answer. I didn't really understand D, but if you meant banned from Wi-Fi forever, then I'll go with D.

Even with friend codes and you know the person, the potential to cheat is still there.

nothing but a warning. People who complain about hacking piss me off more than those that hack. If a hacker can disguise his Pokemon (ie, legit moveset and stats), then there's no problem, but anti-hackers still complain about it.

Ahm a wee wolfie!
Most people don't have friends who play Pokemon, so they just hand it out in forums. Even if you sincerily know the person, they could use a cheating device, lie about it to you, and make it seem like they are an amazing trainer, when, in actuality they are lying, cheating ********.

Pardon me for my language. :)

hmm punishment to them should be try your best to beat and talk to them about it through wifi but i doubt anyone would cheat in pokemon through wifi. I hardly see people hack in other wifi games.

I agree with this poster in that people complaining about hackers are more annoying (remember that EBay thread?).

is back.
Turn their game into a Yellow version where MissingNo. follows you.

For just like what Microsoft did to their VISTA if the OS is a pirated version:
"This copy of Windows is not genuine."

So in WIFI, before trades, a message will pop up and warn the user:
"This pokemon is NOT GENUINE." :D

Honestly, I think that it depends on the pokemon. If it's an event pokemon and it hasn't been boosted to any insane standards, then i think that should be allowed. If it's a Level 100 Arceus with 999 all stats, then i think they should be drug out into the streets and beaten with their cheat device.

But that's just my opinion.

The point is, cheating on any level will not be tolerated. A simple text warning is far from enough to discourage someone determined to cheat. There must be real and lasting consequences if anything is to be learned.
