History as told by Moses(Not THE Moses...):
Everyone knows about vampires. Everyone has heard the tales of these walking dead creatures of the night, how they stalked children and devoured virgins’ sweet innocent blood. Its amazing how a few bad seeds destroy a race’s all ready low reputation.
In truth we are nothing more then the remains of a race known as the ‘fallen’ actually these are angels, once served under God. But the fallen chose another leader for them, Lucifer was one of the highest ranking angels ever… back in the days when angels had free will that is. But he grew proud and vain and thought he could overpower God, which is quite an amusing thought now. He rallied, brainwashed and converted other angels and a war broke out, it lasted a very short time before the ‘devil’ was sent to earth. His followers with him…
Now most believe that they went to a place called ‘hell’ but hell is the devil’s domain, not only is it his kingdom but he suffers and is tortured there as well… anyway I got off the subject. Lucifer wandered the world with his followers spread out, causing the fall of man and such to happen, old story eh? Well while the devil was busy creating ‘hell’ his followers were busy with you guessed it.
Man.
Cross breeding wasn’t forbidden then, and strange wingless hybrids were born, at this time they had no powers and were nothing but humans that carried the genes of the fallen. These gene’s laid dormant and were in almost every man’s blood (except the son of God of course) they never caused in problems and after the devil lost a second time against God the fallen were all dragged back to hell, only escaping in forms they could possess with.
And everything is as history claims, with only a few exaggerations here and there and some lies about… until the times of knights and kings, medieval days. Ah those were the days no? Where ‘magic’ was real and wizards were a dime a dozen, and the dames! Oh the dames… oh wait… off subject again. Apologies.
During this time, a certain Duke and his wife used a forbidden ritual to make contact with the Lucifer. It is unsure of what exactly happened at this meeting with the lord of lies himself but whatever did… it awoken the genes in the duke and his wife.
The very first ‘vampires.’ Being apart of the Fallen’s line we vampires were very different then what most think of, first off, we don’t survive off ‘blood’ as it tastes nasty and stains easily. Instead we have the ability to drain ‘energy’ from the ‘living’ which we are living too, just not the same kind. Anyway, energy is much like blood in a way, it’s not really the soul though, just a sort of mortal life force that we need to survive. We have the ability to drain it quite peacefully from humans with out killing them.
Yeah, lame I know, where is the gore and blood? Well we aren’t really like that….
Second thing, we don’t turn into bats, man where did that one come from? I don’t even know… anyway, we do have wings though. Usually ‘angel’ wings as some call them. As the fallen were once angels and have retained that image of one, though a bit tainted I may add. We inherit this as well.
So yeah, wings and energy drinking, got that so far? Good. Now onto the next thing.
We like the sun, I quite enjoy it, get a good tan and all. But the problem with the sun is, while our wings are great, they are not ‘holy’ thus the sun would kill us if we had our wings out. The wings always sprout at night, very painful process as first but after a couple hundred years it goes away, or just gets numb. Now if a vampire is not able to withdraw it’s wings then the sun hits them.
Poof! Ash, yeah it sucks and all but hey, there is a reason behind it. See when mister Duke and his wife started to have babies, they realized that the babies were also vampires, and being immortal they had a lot of babies. I mean they are still alive now days, though the baby making stopped (thank the powers that be.) Anyway, not only this but as the little myths about vampires go. A vampire can turn a man into well, a vampire. Which is a lot more complicated then it sounds and I wont go into detail.
Anyway, so the numbers grew… and grew… and grew. Tell it was well over a million, which was a bit much for the powers that be. And you know if you ever read the Old Testament, when God gets peeved. He gets peeved. And it’s not a good thing, note to all of you.
Don’t tick off God.
This was around the eighteen hundreds. Anyway, so the powers that be struck a deal with each other and a weakness was installed in our kind. And it wasn’t pretty as no one warned us…
This was when the sun light no touch wings weakness appeared, thousands died at this, just exploded into ash and feathers. It was quite a horrible feeling when you knew your fledgling was dead… I lost a lot of friends that day. Sigh.
So there were three rules installed that day.
1. No wings out during daylight or else.
2. If numbers reach over a million, another weakness will be added and a purging will commence.
3. Small family groups.
4. Few female vampires
See that last rule? It means very few female humans will be born with the gene to activate, it also means that female vampires will go barren after a thousand years or so. I haven’t seen a female vampire in… well since my last fledgling and she was killed in the first purging.
Let’s see, we covered feeding, wings and now the weaknesses so far. Oh one more thing, if wings get cut off, you’re as good as dead. As wings can not be placed back on and when the sunlight hits them or you its over for you.
Yeah thought I’d add that.
Now let’s talk about family groups. Family groups are now known as ‘brotherhoods’ as since there is very few females we don’t have to be politically correct. Ha, take that you stupid thing. Anyway, as I saying, family groups are usually groups of three. The sire also called big brother and the fledglings also known as little brothers.
Now before I continue let me explain about vampire aging. When a human is turned into a vampire, it is like they are reborn, in which they are like children again, well they don’t look it or act it but they have low energy levels, must feed almost everyday and are very, very frail at times.
It takes five hundred years for a fledgling to become old enough to support themselves. See when a sire creates a new vampire; he is sharing his energy with that vampire, meaning they are living off the same life force, now a sire can only handle so many new vampires at a time before they drain all his energy. That’s why two is usually the limit.
The bond between sire and fledgling are very, very strong. If a sire is killed a fledgling is more then likely to die as well, as they are surviving mainly off there sire. Though it’s not impossible for a fledgling to survive on its own or be taken in by a new sire. The sire will be in weakened and a confused state if a fledgling is killed. See, a sire is not only a ‘big brother’ they become like the parent to the fledgling, they want to be near the new vampire for the first couple weeks, even months and will be very protective for a few years as well.
Don’t EVER get between a sire and his new fledgling, he will bite. I’ve taken a finger before when someone got near one of my fledglings.
Now I’m not saying we are all nice and goody, goody. Some vampires despise humanity and cause trouble, that’s where a lot of the myths came from. Dracula? A jerk, seriously, he didn’t drink blood, he just liked to torture, and he was a vampire who lost a few screws.
I’ve seen sires abuse and beat there fledglings, I’ve seen fledglings turn and attack there sires out of anger of them ruining their human lives. Heck I had to pull feathers out of one of my old fledgling’s wings because he wouldn’t stop trying to run away and kill himself. Sometimes its tough love, other times it’s just mean.
Now I’d get into Witches and werewolves and stuff, but it seems I’m out of time. So anything else you need to know just ask this crazy lady who is making me tell you all of this. Oh crud I just broke the fourth wall…

Other species:
Witches
Brief Bio: Witches are not Wiccan users (as they are usually nicer) but actually have learned the art of bending energy, which is often mistaken for magic. Energy is all around the world though the only kind vampires can absorb is human. But witches use simple life forms and humans to drain energy into them which usually kills the life form. They are usually young women or older ones who have masked themselves to look young. They are ALWAYS in groups and LOVE to capture vampires, as they have WAY more energy then humans thus they tend to seduce and kill.
They are also another reason why there are so few female vampires, as the female vampires are immune to being drained by witches and also draw attention from other male vampires and less attention to the witches. Which make it harder for them to get a vampire, so they tend to kill human girls as witches have found the key to telling if a girl is capable of becoming a vampire… Girls tend to be killed before they ever reach the age thirteen because of this.
Warlocks: While they know the same tricks as witches, the energy bending takes a different affect on them. They become anti social, they love to drain anything and are usually very, very insane. They lose emotion over the years and become walking draining drones. Very, very dangerous to female vampires and vampires in general as they have the ability to drain anything and use energy like magic spells…
Werewolves: These guys aren’t really enemies of weres. But beings that are the result of a human trying to awaken the gene themselves and it backfired. Creating a wolf form that comes only once a full moon. Now they don’t turn into anthromorphs but into very large wolves during the full moon. They tend to live in ‘packs’ or gangs. So street gangs are usually werewolves. They can be dangerous only to each other as they are very territorial and hate strays and Halflings. (HumanxWerewolf = Halfling = no like usually)
Rocko is a werewolf trader and is a very good guy. Keep an eye out for him in the rp.
Demons: The fallen have a new form, the ability to possess and nothings easier to possess then there decedents. They can be driven out by holy symbols; crosses work the best and then sent back to hell. But sometimes they share the body of a descendent of theirs who don’t mind. As the demons tend to give a power bonus to vampires.
(Note: no demon possessed vampire characters in this rp. I will decide if you get possessed)
Angels: These guys are ok; sometimes helpful but then again, they don’t have complete free will like man. They do God’s will, which is a good thing… if you’re human. Vampires while not condemned like the fallen are not looked upon to nicely. Stay out of the angel’s way and they will leave you alone…
Angels can be very, very nice and helpful though in some conditions. As they can’t hate.
Vampire Halflings: These are NOT possible; if a vampire breeds with a human the child WILL die in the womb or die at birth. It is a mixture of tainted holiness and humanity which just doesn’t work for a newborn, they cancel each other out and it dies.
Angel/demon Halflings: No they don’t exist. Not possible. Sorry.
Vampire/Werewolf Halfling: Well, they do exist but they are either fully vampire or werewolf, you can’t have a vampirism werewolf or anything. It’s either one or the other no matter the breeding.

You will start out human in this rp. You can not be a vampire at first and you may never become one, you may learn of it though and things will happen that will involve you.
The simple Plot:
The time has come for the deal to be finished. The first two vampires made a deal with the devil and the devil has come for his due. Oh yes, the devil has found a loophole in the plans and has one last chance against heaven. But first he needs to finish this deal with the fallen children’s. The antichrist has not been born yet but soon, soon it all will come.
The cackling off laughter echoes in the pits of hell, as the screams of agony and terror follow from it. Seems no matter how evil the devil is, he can not help but scream as hell tortures him as well as its captives.
But soon, he will begin his plan and soon, he will prove that he is greater then God…
Soon … he will prove everything…

To simplify some things for you…
Angelic Vampires are the true names of these vampires, but they sometimes go by AV’s or Avvies or even just vampires.
Powers: Fledglings have few powers, but over time will develop the ability to crumble walls, see in the dark and many other things, as they to can bend energy. Now as said before female vampires are rare but they are also twice as powerful as males, this prevents them being taken advantage of as being so few, many would like to have one. But sire’s are very protective of there female fledglings even more then the males.
Family groups: A fledgling will remain with his sire for five hundred years, even if he wants too or not, as the sire is more powerful and can even force the fledgling to stay. The bond though between the two is strong and often the fledgling wants to remain with the sire and vise versa, it’s a rare case when one wants to flee.
Bonds: bonds are very strong until the age of five hundred when they end. The sire is always sharing energy with the new fledgling and always out for there best interest. Well usually, as said before not all sires are kind. If a fledgling flees and gets too far, the bond will snap and can kill both sire and fledgling, so it is very dangerous when the two are separated for too long, worse if there are two fledglings with the sire.
Wings: Wings are always plain black at first, but the sire has the ability to change colors. It’s the sire who decides what the wings are like in the end, as they sometimes like to mark there fledglings to show other vampires who they belong too.
Feeding: When a vampire feeds, they just need to grip a human and think about eating, the energy is then drawn into them. The vampire can either drain the human to death or to near death to which the human will be in a coma for at least three days. This prevents death reports and such and hunts for the vampires.
Converting: Now this is a bit complicated. Only a vampire over the age five hundred can convert a human. Now when this accrues the vampire sire will drain a human of there choice in which they know they carry the gene to death, in which they are officially dead, this has to accrue before midnight. At this time the vampire sire will force half his life force into the body, bringing it back to life and awakening the gene within. This has to happen exactly at midnight and for a human male it is an eighty percent chance he will survive, for a woman it’s a ten percent. Wings will not appear tell the next night which is a VERY painful process as bones and muscles have to change for the wings to come out, and it’s a very bloody mess leaving the fledgling weak tired and usually very scared.
Weaknesses: If wings are hit with sunlight a vampire will turn to ash. If a vampire is separated from there wings they will turn to ash. If a vampire is drowned they will die and not return. Beheading will not work as the body will not allow its head to separate. Stabbings and shootings go unaffected and heal in days.

Inpsteration for this rpg comes from... a dream. yes a dream, I had a dream about flying men who could suck energy out of people, they were often attacked by witches and warlocks and it was really cool. They had the 'sire' but in my dream he liked to kick his fledglings around
I get tired of the abusive sire bit (I've read SOOO many freakin webcomics about it) that I wanted to make it more then likely a sire would rather raise you like a father to a child then anything else.The whole bible stuff attacked it thanks to my upbringing. God is mad at ame now,
