Saw this a few days ago. Personally I'm looking forward to it as I think that
Death Note will turn out to be pretty damn good. Just because there is little to no action in the series itself doesn't mean that is won't be good. Besides, there are a few thriller-esque scenes in the series, so it isn't totally lacking. And it is evident that series that are dialogue-heavy can turn out to be memorable.

TSC: I don't neccessarily hate the fact that it's being turned into an anime, I just don't want such a great manga to be screwed up by fillers and changes (not small changes, big changes; not saying that it's going to happen, of course). -.-
Come now, I doubt that there will be any significant changes (if any changes at all), and for filler material (if it is included)... well, I always was fond of [spoil] Ryuk before he was pushed into the foreground, Misa when the manga-ka decided to actually keep her intelligent and not screw up character development, and we needed more time for L to have the frustrated attitude that he eventually gained.[/spoil]

the changes won't be big nor will have probably any fillers since the manga is close to being over at I believe chapter 172 or something like that. point is, the manga is near done and the anime can adapt to it faithfully.
Lol, next time when I tell you information, remember it correctly or else consult, alright? ;D
Anyway, for those who care (which is probably a fair share), the
Death Note manga series currently has one hundred seven chapters out with the final chapter, one hundred eight, to be released next week to finish the whole deal. Honestly, I'm glad that it is ending as I felt that it could've (and should've) ended back in volume seven as at that point an end to it all would've made it not just a great ending to a great shounen series, but a memorable ending to one of the best manga series that has come out in recent years. But, alas, that is for another time and discussion.
