Deaths in Pokemon

Of course they die. :p

Hey, imagine some stupid fricking Pokemon living forever? That's plain impossible. Butterfree die after mating, meaning that Ash's Butterfree died a long time ago. Then there's the Marowak, and then Latios, and Lucario. In fact, I believe Celebi also died in the uncut Japanese Version... So basically, yeah, Pokemon die. I mean, what do you expect, they have organs that never decompose, or hormones and cells that never disintegrate? Bah, death is natural anyways... and overrated.

Even though I have yet to see the eight movie Mews changes could be related to his change of lifestyle. Before his battle with Mewtwo he just floated around and slept in rivers, but after he had a hard slap of how cruel reality really is and after teaching Mewtwo and the clones what life is really about I'm sure, like any one else would, went through see some radical changes. We may have a few more reasons why the Mew in the eight movie acts so different then his "former" self. I, however, do believe there is more than one Mew. ;025;
You agree with me that there's more than one Mew, but you're disagreeing that the one in the 8th movie is a different one than the one in the 1st? o.o That seems.. a little awkward, but alright. Don't wanna go too off-topic here. n_n;

*Later at Pokemon Center*

If there were deaths in Pokemon, you'd be dead before you even got that Dragonite.

Pokemon die, eventually. SOme live longer than others. Legendaries, I suppose, live thousands of years.

...Thank God they don't die in the games.

Yeah, the father Latios died in the fifth movie, Celebi almost died remeber? So did Lugia and Mewtwo before they were reviewed (Mewtwo I think almost died in the Pokemon special "Mewtwo Returns", the one where Mewtwo doesn't erase thier memories this time cuz Meowth changed his mind).
Didn't Squirtle mentionbed something close to death in the episode "Island of the Giant Pokemon"? Or mentioned maybe thier masters got eaten? Which would also mean they died of course...

Disproven. Ask Murgatroyd.

In fact, I believe Celebi also died in the uncut Japanese Version...

It's never said, just implied about as much as it was in English.

Games. Not to you as main character, but it dose occur as there are Pokemon graveyards.

Anime. Yes, as evident with Celebi until past selves revived. ;025;

also, remember in the comics, where red is fighting brock, Poliwhirls Ice beam cleaved graveler in half and then blasted onix apart? That could be considered a form of dieing.

Imagine what the world will become if pokemons live forever.
Some pokemon were killed for food.
Some pokemon dies of old age (after a certain period of time)
Some pokemon can even die from deseases
Some legendary pokemons MAY be extint, but they will eventually lay an egg prior.

Death does not happen merely because cells run down. Cells can live forever if it they are programmed to. Death is merely a genetic program to prevent overpopulation. If we can remove that genetic programming, immortality would be possible.

They are not immortal because there alive, and everything that is alive must die sometime... (i learned that in science :D)
True, sadly true. All pokemon die and how come if they don't die in the games when my brother tried to clone my lv.100 prized Typhlosion and made a mistake and got erased? Well all living things must die and it's natural.

What about the Fake Groudon from Movie 6? Technically, it did die, except it was evil so no one cared. Latios died, Charmander ALMOST died, Celebi died (it was brought back later), Rukario and Aaron from Movie 8 died, the scientists from Movie 1 died, Lugia ALMOST died in Movie 2. Also, Luka, the girl in the Whirl Island who has a Silver Wing, her grandfather died.

That was right. I remember how big the grave was. You're right it was massive.

What? Exactly
I think the only pokemon that don't die are the ones that aren't alive in the first place. Ghost Pokemon and Baltoy are examples. Baltoy is a doll and therefore isn't an organism. Also maybe some of the pokemon are gods? They said that Rayquaza is like a couple million years old and Ho-Oh is a Phienix. I wonder if he could do that whole come back from the ashes thing. oh, one more thing, it was a hair. Mew's hair.
