• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

December 16th: PM2019 136 - Satoshi and Go! Setting Off Anew!!

I understand santiagus' pov. I also want Team Rocket to be treated better because so far this has been a disgrace. However, having Goh or not shouldn't have any connection to that. If Goh stays, you should just ignore him. That's what I do. As I always say, he's a good character in the wrong anime that was artificially shoved in. You should complain about Team Rocket's treatment no matter what happens with Goh. That's what I would do.

Let's say that... This is not my way of doing things, you have yours I have mine. I don't like Goh on how the writters wrote him and how some people act like it's some kind of choosen one.

No sorry his writting is unforgibable, The Grookey episode was the last straw, and as a Team Rocket fan that hurt, A LOT.

However I hope that we Team Rocket fans can stay happy whatever Income is left for Goh.

I hope this means another production coup happened like the one at the end of XY so it can restore the anime to the glory of XY.

There was no coup. Yajima decided not to be series director of Sun & Moon either because he wanted to take over the films or because he was exhausted from overseeing a weekly series for three years.

The production of the cartoon has weakened due to issues with the industry and OLM itself. Tomiyasu is not the reason the cartoon franchise has less good animation now.

I'm not trying to tell you what you have to do or how to think, it's just a recommendation for you to not be as frustrated with Goh as you are.

I used to be very bothered with the character too. He obviously clashes with many things 20+ years of episodes established and he was shoved in like a second protagonist and even the ones like UnovaMaster (even if they would never admit it) know that he was never going to be a real equal to Ash. Nobody in the big picture ever cared if Goh caught Mew or not. Meanwhile, casuals made the internet explode with Ash's victory. The truth is that Goh would need many years to even be a bit relevant for the wider audience. And I'm not even sure if the "Galar starters guy" would even get there. It's so random. Maybe if they had turned him into the Eevee trainer... If they wanted to keep him around for more than one generation, that would've been the logical thing to do. It's going to be very weird, if he sticks around, to see him with the old gen starters.

I just accepted Goh as one of the many flaws this anime as a whole has. Maybe he can improve if they somehow decide for once what they want to do with the character. Maybe it's good that for once they don't throw away 3 years like it's nothing and we get a smoother transition.

Though I do wonder why the vast majority of the old writers left after XY ngl

To do other things. In the case of Takegami Junki I think they either retired or had health issues, I don't know.

Tomioka, Yonemura, Matsui and Omoide are still around. New blood has also been brought in. Things are perfectly fine. Half of the job of scripting is just taking a story outline based on the director, producers and other staff's ideas that is assigned to you and messing with it for two weeks. Everyone working on the series is an experienced pro.

Sorry if I sounded like you were trying to impose me when you were giving me some good advice and I thank you for that.

Let's see how this works for the new series or new season.

If it even begins off course cause untill we have to know the summary.

Untill that moment this is just speculation.

I thank you again and long live Team Rocket.

The he writing department is just as messy as the animation department right now given the the series keep changing like how goh goal got changed mid series due to the last one not working and how there been 3 different series director in one series.

The series director role has hardly been messy. The first series director left to lead a different series and Tomiyasu took over to be more hands-on for an important storyline.

Most episodes from the last six months have been written by the Tomioka Atsuhiro or Yonemura Shouji, veterans from the 1997 series.

The series' production issues are in its lack of animators and time.

Oh Btw I lied about Team Rocket

It does not have a 50% apperence rate they have a 42% appearence rate according to this

However I do not count this appearences in Paldea since they're not in episode.

So it's 40%....

I hope whatver is next, leaves people or we get new people that Team Rocket got some justice

So, to summarize our options:

Option 1) Goh and Ash actually separate in this episode, and Goh is crying in 135 because he will be saying goodbye to Ash.
or
Option 2) 135 crying stuff is a fake out, and Goh and Ash end up traveling together again, and this episode is them leaving for Paldea together

I love how confusing this is.
Option 3) Something else?

This is such a hard read.

Go failing to get Mew like Satoshi is not a Pokemon Master and TRio's Paldea expeditions make this situation kind of confusing. They literally start the show off talking about those as their main dreams, meanwhile Satoshi merely achieved a step toward being a Master. Go thought of Satoshi during the Mew climax and Satoshi remembered Go's Pokemon against Dande.

They didn't treat Satoshi's victory over Dande with as much fanfare as I thought and it immediately involves him waking up the next day to phone Go of all people, no reunion moments with Hikari/Koharu, his mom or other friends. Just swept past so he could speak to Go.

no reunion moments with Hikari/Koharu,
There was a short moment with Dawn and Chloe after the match, but it was way too short.

But yeah…I get what you mean…
