Yeah, or at least used to. That may not be true now though. I also hear they base their teams on color schemes, HM moves, and to fit them and their personality, so that's not the only factor.~

Yeah, I believe so. And probably. This chapter doesn't seem to be continous to the Zorua chapter, so it's probably before it.

Probably. I think the next volume will end D/P arc, and probably vol. 39 will continue into the Platinum arc.

That's what I'm thinking too. Although depending on how much room is left in volume 38, it's possible it might already start the Platinum arc. :3 If not it should definitely be by 39 though.

That's very true. Especially if White getting a female Pokabu is true, since it'll most likely mean Belle and Cheren will get a starter and dex after all.

Yeah exactly. There have been all sorts of changes in the tankobons, from additional chapters, to changes in dialogue and artwork, and everything else.

Won't that Wargle be very high leveled for him though? I think Washibon evolves at lvl 50 or something.

That is true. I believe it doesn't evolve 'til like, lvl 54 or something. So that would be awfully high leveled, especially considering his Pokabu and Munna are still unevolved....

If that is so, then I'm kinda hoping she gets her own Starter later. Maybe Mijumaru.

I wouldn't mind her getting her own starter later either. I'm just saying if she really does get Pokabu, I don't mind. I think the pattern would be Tsutarja, but they could possibly be different and give her Mijumaru. =P

I'm rather interested in whether Belle and Cheren really will get Mijumaru and Tsutarja as their Starter Pokemon. I would have never thought that the two main protagonist characters in the B/W series would be getting the same Starter Pokemon, so I didn't plan ahead for Belle or Cheren. I guess Belle would do good with a cute Mijumaru and Cheren would do well with a tough Tsutarja, but it seems a little odd for both Black and White to get a Pokabu. I bet it'll take time for me to get used to seeing that, if it does indeed happen.

There sure is a lot of whining going around about Pokespecial dying because of HGSS. So it wasn't the best arc, big deal. I personally didn't think the Emerald chapter was anything to write home about other then the Dexholder reunion at the end, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good arc or that Pokespecial is dying. Writing a manga series that everyone likes that has numerous chapters is hard work.

On other note's, I don't know where this talk of White being like Platinum came from. Platinum/Platina/whatever she's called is rich because of her family it's all in her blood, not like she's running her family herself. White on the other hand sound's like she's running her business herself We'll have to see but as already mentioned manga character's don't have the same personalities (Not that Platinum has a bad one or anything.)

And on a funnier note, I kind of hope N is like the Pokemon version of the crying Indian. Like every time he see's a trainer with a Pokemon he shed's a tear, or when you see Pokemon battle's you see N in the background shedding tears, would be a funny early running gag before thing's get to serious during the middle and end.

Tsutarja seems so reserved and Belle is seen as being pretty darn happy and spontaneous. On the other hand, Mijumaru seems cheerful but Cheren seems really reserved and serious. Their personalities sort of clash and it's not something I'd see working in the B/W chapter. I'm all for mixing things up a bit, but sometimes opposites do not attract :x

As much as I agree with you here, two things worth pointing out are:
1.) On the games, Belle gets the starter your starter is strong against (in Black's case, that would give her Tsutarja) and Cheren gets the starter yours is weak against (again, which in Black's case, would be Mijumaru)
2.) Remember in the first chapter, Coronis noted that Mijumaru was noted as the scariest starter, easily getting angry at Tsutarja and Pokabu fighting and started beating the heck out of both Pokemon with its shell. Just worth mentioning because I could see Cheren liking it's scariness and strength, and upon full evolution I could see them getting along. (plus Belle wears more green and Cheren wears more blue...)

But that still doesn't mean anything. Special, although based on the games, doesn't follow it to the T all the time. I mean look at the R/S arc, Ruby actually got the starter strongest against Sapphire's starter, so I could easily see them doing the same there here. Plus I'm just kind of hoping for Belle/Mijumaru and Cheren/Tsutarja if they do in fact get the starters. xDDD;;

Even if the Wotter is scary, I don't think it would go to Cheren. I see him with a proud, regal Pokemon like Smugleaf. In fact, it would be hilarious to see happy-go-lucky Belle with a scary Wotter, while Cheren, with his "better-than-you" attitude fits Smugleaf to a T.

It's not gonna happen. Even if the HGSS Saga will be expanded in tankobon version, it will be just a couple of additional chapters. It WON'T become a long and action-packed saga out of sudden. It will still be rushed and dead-ended. And main questions like "what happened to Mahogany Gym?" will still be left unanswered. Bear with it. This arc has been killed in its midlife. The tankobon won't really fix it. It'll fail to suffice your expectations anyway.

Just a couple of additional tankobon-only chapters. Nothing more than that.

How do you know that'll be all? You have no idea how many chapters we might have missed inbetween, how many chapters extra chapters we'll get to wrap it up, additional scenes, artwork and dialogue, and a few other fixes. I'm sure there will be more tweaks than just that "a couple additional chapters". I will still give you it won't fix all of the flaws though, but it'll most definitely be better than the messy magazine release. And the original point of jumping ship too early still stands for you, but do what you like.

On a sidenote: I love the new pics, and it is so awesome to see BW on the site now and a colored pic for it as well. I like volume 37's cover as well, but it is different from what I was expecting. Ah well. Still cool regardless.

I didn't see anything about Mijumaru being scary so I must have missed that. Well nevermind then. As for the color schemes; I don't know if I'd use that as an indicator of which character would end up with which Starter Pokemon. Black doesn't have much red on him except on his shoes and hat, despite having a Fire-type Pokemon with a redish color scheme. So I don't think Belle or Cheren's clothing color will matter much when it comes to Starters.

Well, even if color scheme were important, I could see the manga going with the whole polar-opposite concept, and giving Belle and Cheren, Pokemon with color schemes that are opposites to theirs. Similar to what happened to the box covers for the games

Platinum arc starts in 38vol or 39vol.

Actually, there's only 12 Chapters left, so Vol 38 will have enough room for the start of Platinum.

BTW, I always saw Black and White as twins. I guess no-one else thought of that. :S

Anyway, anyone else really want to see Pearl with a Dugtrio? We already have two main charaters with Diglett. Maybe it'll evolve in the Platinum arc.


Oh, and the ending for HGSS reminds me of how in RS, they abandoned Wally. I hope he comes back in the RSE Re-make! D:

Wow the HGSS ending is a real dissapointment. I hope it will get better in the vol. No it has too. Lol White busness women soo funny but why do they have both the same starter I hoped she got Tsutarja. Maybe it's only borrowed or something. I guess she has a big pokemon colletcion like Crys. Maybe she has all 3 starters. that would be funny
