Defense or HP?

alright, I've hatched a Chansey with the bold nature, and I've already given her 10 Zinc things... which vitamins should I give her? Iron to up Defense or HP UP to up... HP?

I'm trying to keep her at level 5 so she evolves into Blissey at level 6...

DO NOT listen to this advice. There are some stats that are almost useless on Blissey. If you plan on EV training, you would want to save its EPs.

If I were you I'd give it HP, then EV train it in HP.

Blissey's max defence is so disappointing that it's not worth it.

I rarely use stat-upping items. If your Pokemon have a high defence stat, their HP will probably increase by a larger degree.

DO get Max def, that way it can survive more focus punches.

Get HP to 704 and dump the rest in special defense.

Get a bold one too.

Def Ev's on Blissey make the difference between a ohko and a 2hko. It also ensures Gengar's explosion doesn't **** you over royally.

I say that you should leave your Chansey in your PC, but if you decided to get it with you, max out her HP because it has a low defense so rising it up from 10 to 30 points will not change much.

No one good will switch Chansey into a good Focus Punch (i.e. Stabbed, or Slaking's). You just proved that you don't know about the standard Blissey, nor read smogon.

P.S. Speed is even stupider, since you still won't beat anything with that.

Do you know how much that possible 130 Defense is compared to the max 56 Defense you'd have if you ignored Defense? It's more than a double increase. Think about Shuckle, who needs max HP to do anything (i.e. nothing) since it's crappy on it's own.

Trade the Chansey to Emerald to delete all the EV's and then get 252 Def/252 HP/6 SpDef on it. Be sure it has Aromatheropy too.

Anyone who says that Defense on Blissey is stupid uses Double Team. 8)

I'm sorry, but you are the stupid one here. Maxed Def. with Bold more than doubles Blissey's defensive resistance. Also, why does Blissey need Spd. at all? Does yours sweep? New players always make the mistake that Blissey is only meant to take special hits.
