Deoxys, as you might know, is an enigmatic Pokemon. What's so strange about it is that it has 4 forms. Normal, Attack, Defense and Speed. You can only get Normal Deoxys on R/S, Attack Deoxys on FR, Defense Deoxys on LG, and Speed Deoxys on E.

Here's something you didn't know - Deoxys' stats alter when it's traded to another version. I have witnessed it myself while trading it to my LG. As soon as I saw it in the Defensive form on the screen, I checked its stats. What surprises me is that its speed DRASTICALLY dropped and its Defense and Special Defense became higher. I traded it to FR and it was the same way, only its offensive stats.

Did anyone know this or am I the first one to point it out? Discuss.

It is natural an attacking form is obvious to have high attack
a defensive pokemon is obvious to have high defensive stats and so on so do you see its only deoxys that does this because it has different forms

No, this has been known ever since Fr/Lg came out in Japan. What would be the point in giving Deoxys forms called Attack, Defense, and Speed without making the stats of that form great to match its name? And of course if one stat goes up, obviously the other is going to go down.

Just like how Attack form will be too busy attacking, thus won't worry about defense too much. Or Defense is merely defending, thus doesn't need to rely on speed. Check Deoxys' page on the main site's PokeDex to see. Each form also learns different attacks to help their form out.

To clarify a little bit, Deoxys's BASE STATS change when you trade it to a game where it has a different form. So the EVs and IVs stay the same.

The main site's 'Dex lists all of the Base Stats and attacks for each of the forms.

EDIT: Sorry, .Combusken., didn't see that you already mentioned that last part. XD

Anyway, everyone pretty much said everything.
Deoxys=D.N.A.S.
D=Defense
N=Normal
A=Attack
S=Speed
Just something I read a long time ago somewhere.......

What? Wow, that seems logical. Where did you find that information? I've never knew anything about the Deoxys' 'DNAS' was until this was mentioned...

OK, this whole DNAS thing is a coincidence. Considering those words aren't used in the Japanese versions of the game so it wouldn't work in the original and they're so very unlikely to make a thing like that purely for the English language version. Besides, the acronym is lame and the s is out of place. It's just what people want to see. If Deoxys was a ground type, I could claim the acronym is in fact SAND.

S=Speed
A=Attack
N=Normal
D=Defence

It's kind of obvious that the stats would change. The game doesn't actually keep the stat values of your Pokémon anywhere. It keeps the base stats and then the IVs and EVs, and when it needs the actual stat number, it just calculates it from that. The base stats are just hard-coded into the game, so all the information that is transferred over when you trade is the species, personality value, IVs and EVs. Therefore, your LeafGreen version has no idea your Deoxys ever used to have high attacking stats, because as far as it knows, Deoxys simply has high defenses and lower Attacks.
