Hello, and welcome to the Desert Pokemon Club. I am sandragon13, owner and propriator of this establishment. Here in our secluded base hidden among the sand dunes, we ponder the many mysteries of the Pokemon world, especially those that concern desert-dwelling Pokemon. We share in the belief that life within the powerful sandstorms under the blazing sun has allowed desert Pokemon to grow strong, fast, and tough. On that note, I and my Pokemon would like to extend our warmest welcome to you, our guest, and invite you to join us as members of this most mystic club. I will give the final say as to who has gained membership, and I will assign you a basic desert-dwelling Pokemon if you are accepted. Contribution to club discussions, good behavior, and the like will eventually cause your Pokemon to level up and possibly evolve.

2. Abusive language and behavior will not be tolorated.
3. I reserve the right to choose whether a potential member has gained entry into the club, and also if one has violated a rule, if that member will be expelled from the club.

freeze knight, to answer your question, it's nothing personal, i just offered that the first person to join gets to be shiny. there may be more shiny guys given out later, if enough people join.
in any case, at this club, one of us will initiate a conversation topic, and we'll let everybody put their two cents in, however they feel about it. I'll start us off with the first topic: if you had the opporatunity to live anywhere in Hoenn, where would you live? I'd be living in my expansive secret base (maybe i'll post it on here when it's complete) in the desert.

my bad...i forgot that i changed that...do you or silver cat want shiny versions of your pokemon as compensation?
and yeah, regirock's pretty cool...he is the king of the desert ruins...but cacturne could take him out with grass or fighting attacks, any ground type has him beat with EQ...the list goes on

Here's some desert pokemon ideas for newcomers: Lileep, Cacnea, Anorith. Those are all of the ones (plus the ones already given except Ryhorn) that live in the desert. Other options could include: Torkoal, Geodude, Heracross, Natu (maybe), Nosepass, Slugma, Barboach (maybe), Nincada, Aron, Solrock, Lunatone, Phanpy, Pinsir (maybe), and...I think that's about it, but'll think on it.
Edit: Where would I live in Kanto...One or Seven Island. I'll start thinking of Kanto/Jhoto/Orre region Desert-living-like pokemon.
