Well in one Dex entry for Slugma(forget which one, I think it's either FR, or LG) it says it never sleeps, but it can learn Rest, and can be put to sleep, so this is false.

Not so much a mistake, but I find it interesting how the GSC pokedex (and the show!) said that Wobbuffet lives in dark caves to keep its tail hidden, making it sound like a loner, mysterious kind of character. Well, Wobbuffet can still be mysterious, but Team Rocket's Wobbuffet and the other wobbuffets seen on the show are certainly not dark loners. :D At least his RSE pokedex description makes him sound so much cooler, even if the FRLG has the old descriptions.

i found that regice is made of antarctic (they have another continent in the world) ice of -328 degrees celcius and it can't melt in magma which is 650-1200 degrees farenheit. you do the math.

The Pokedex exaggerates a lot... Take Machamp being "able to hurl someone clear over the horizon" for example. No matter how strong something is, it's impossible for it to throw something else THAT far. I don't think the laws of Gravity would allow it.

Stay positive
The Pokedex is retarded. >> All it ever does is act like a huge thorn in the Pokemon, intelligent versus animals debate with the Latis entry that makes it sound like being able to understand human speech is a special trait not found in other Pokemon. And people depend upon it way too often when debating whether or not the rest of the world/other animals exist in the Pokemon world, thus making that side sound narrow-headed and ignorant. >>

I need to stop debating. XP

It says that Banette dies when it opens it's mouth. In Colloseum and XD it opens it mouth when fainting, but it's there again when battling the trainer again.

Hehehe... Yeah, what goes up must come down!

The pokedex states that Porygon is copyrighted and cannot be duplicated, yet you can breed it with a ditto (I know, it's not really being plagurized (sp?), but it's close enough).

N00b in the dungeon!
According to the Pokedex, Machamp can move mountains using just one of it's four arms, and toss people clear over the horizon.
There are others aswell, but that's all I could think of right now -__-

It was G/FR that said that. the one I found weird was exegcuter's ones. It has 3 heads, but the dex entries says that it can have more or less then 3 heads.

Blaze Dragon

T3h Blazing Ranger!
On one Pokedex (I don´t remember what) says that Exeguttor loses one of it´s heads every time it breeds. When I saw my Exeguttor that recently breeded, it does have the 3 heads!

There was a Pokemon from R/S/E whose name was spelt incorrectly in the Pokedex description. I can't for the life of me remember which it was though :|

Lawl. Practily everything in the Pokedex is exaggered, false, or dumb.
=/
The Banette thing is false it should be "Banette will faint when it's mouth opens."
The Machamp thing and the Slugma thing.
And Larvitar (I think this was actually a card not Pokedex entry but I can't remember) is supposed to eat a whole mountain o_O
Yes. A 7 foot Tyranitar has the ability to knock over a mountain. Scary. Yawn.
Also some Pokemon heights seem waaay too small like the 3 ledgenary birds they're like 5 feet high I mean wtf? In the moive and anime they're like freaking 10 feet tall! Salamence too. I highly doubt that Salamence should be less than 5 feet it looks like 7 -.-
Stupid Pokedex.

Nooo! I'm too young!
They just to fill up space as kind of "fun facts", no value whatsoever tho lol.

I think the Pokedex is made to amaze very young children with facts that would not ever appear in the guiness book thingy. So, the facts may seem stupid in our eyes but I bet very young children would think that Tyranitar is the coolest Pokemon in existence.

I was a kid when I read that and I thought it was stupid!
