Question is though will the max cap on Legendary Marks be higher than the current 200 or will vendor gear be cheaper Mark wise and will the current methods used to obtain Marks remain in TTK or will getting Legendary Marks be different?
I'm pretty sure it will remain at 200. Hopefully it will keep it's routine of getting those new marks. Like Daily Heroic Strike, Strike Playlists, Crucible Playlists, etc.

The downside to keeping the cap at 200 (and if individual Legendary cost remains as is) is that we'll likely only be allowed to collect 100 LM's a week which means, unless we get luck with RNG, it will take well over a month the fully outfit yourself with all new gear, possibly right up to the release of the next expansion.

(This is assuming the cap remains 200, cost remain at 75, 120, and 150 marks for armor and weapons, the 100 total per week limit, no transferring your current Marks into LM, and very bad RNG luck especially in getting the specific gear you're wanting).

Let me just say their biggest fault in TTK is the fact that all our beloved hard earned legendary weapons prior to TTK will practically become peashooters and would be better off turned into shards and motes.

That's what ticks me off. All the hard work and time spent to get that Felwinter's or Praetorian Foil? That Etheric Light and all those ascendant materials used on your old weapons? All that rerolling using up precious glimmer, motes, and weapon parts? Yeah all of that hard work on a single weapon is going down the drain because they want us to use the new weapons.

What, just because we have weapons we know and love right now means we will not try out their new ones? This is ludicrous. I've spent so much time and so much glimmer and motes on my legendaries I have right now and that I absolutely love and come TTK they'll be worthless and useless.

Thanks a lot for the retarded move Bungie. Everything you've hyped up about TTK is great, don't get me wrong, but this is a huge flaw and needs to be fixed. I don't want to be stuck with few choices of legendary weapons. I'd like a large variety, and to use my weapons I love right now like my Red Hand XI, Fatebringer, Found Verdict, Praedyth's Revenge, Party Crasher +1, etc...

Really disappointed.

Well, Cozmo from Bungie did say don't go throwing away your current Legendary collection just yet as there was still more to talk about later on as far as their futures go.

While I've heard some speculate that we'll be able to eventually ascend Year 1 gear (maybe once Vex Void hits), I personally believe any gear gained from Raids, Trials of Osiris, and maybe Iron Banner and Prison of Elders (mainly Varriks gear) will be upgraded due to the challenge of obtaining them while any gear obtained from the Tower faction won't be due to their ease of purchasing.

That's still the thing though. 'Just yet'. Meaning they still may not fix the problem or they may fix it. Judging from previous faults Bungie has made with Destiny, they would probably fix this, however this is Bungie we're talking about and they're quite unpredictable.

Just hope they do fix this. I'd like to keep my legendaries.

Also I doubt they'll make every legendary armor (except raid armor) prior to TTK useless as well, since those are for customizing your character the way you like. I have some armor I'd much rather use than some of the raid gear we have.

Xur's selling The Last Word and Bones of Eao?!

People can finally stop complaining about that exotic legs. Then again the Ram as well once that hits on Xur's inventory.

Got my first Gjallarhorn from the VoG exotic chest...kinda happy now :D, even though it is getting nerfed soon :(

Again, the nerf won't affect Gjallarhorn much. It's only affecting the Wolfpack rounds and the Grenades and Horseshoes secret perk (Which is arguably a good thing). Gjallarhorn, along with every other Rocket Launcher is getting a Blast Radius buff as well.

If any exotic you should be afraid of the nerf, it's Icebreaker's.

I'm still going to use the Icebreaker. Mainly for Solar Burns and Specialist in NFs or WHS. The nerf won't affect me that much.

Though I'm hoping for another rechargeable weapon in TTK

So a lot happened yesterday!

I managed to go flawless in trials and got a Jewel of Osiris adept, with void burn. Also got a Scholar from the gold tier package. Going flawless feels great, but getting the class items or a ship would feel better :/

Did the Nightfalls.

Got absolute TRASH.

Warlock: 10 Strange Coins, thought this was a NF not a WHS.

Hunter: Legendary Sniper, thought this was a NF not a Vanguard Dragon Strike.

Titan: Crest of Alpha Lupi, finally an exotic, that I already have ofc.

My only hope now are the raids and chests from PoE....

OH...MY...GOD....

XUR's SELLING THE GJALLYHORN!!!!!

The impossible just happened!

Guess this is Bungie's way of letting us know the new weapon patch is very close, maybe even as soon as Tuesday? Regardless, them doing this must be their way of giving all non-Ghally owners a chance to enjoy this sweet little number while its still all powerful.

Now, if only they'd start letting Hawkmoon join the fun...

As soon as the Monte Carlo / 4th Horseman becomes non-exclusive potentially next month alongside the Hawkmoon. Xur will definitely sell those.

Anyways I bought 1 for each class. Got the most wanted Exotic weapon. I can finally do the CE hard mode.

It'll still be all powerful... .-. It's just the wolfpack rounds.

Got two for my other classes.

Also the weapon patch is on the 9th. Mark your calendars and adjust your play style.

Here's a topic for us Guardian's to discuss.

Once TTK is out, will you continue to use any/all your Year 1 Exotic's for the full experience? Will you put them off to the side in order to try out the new gear and weapons? Or will you place them all in your Vaults with no intention of using them in Year 2 save for maybe the occasional special circumstance or occasion?

Me personally? I'll likely keep my main Exotic weapon and armor for use in the first mission or two then switch the all new gear once I've unlock the new sub-class, then Vault them for special occasions while relying on the new stuff as I feel relying on Year 1 Exotic's could make things to easy (assuming Year 1 Exotic's can be upgraded early on to Year 2 stats).

I'll keep everything I've got as I've got faith that Bungie will fix the legendary gear not being able to level up further in TTK once the next DLC is released. (Either vex void or forge of gods, most likely VV)

If they don't then I'll probably quit Destiny tbh. Because It'd only continue the same pattern each year. Collect awesome weapons and gear only to have them become obsolete in a year.

Anyway as far as exotic gear goes I'll use what I like the best. Right now I use Achlyophage Symbiote for PvP, Celestial Nighthawk for PvE on my Gunslinger Hunter, Lucky Raspberry for PvP and Don't Touch Me for PvE when I run Bladedancer, and The Crest of Alpha Lupi for trials.

With my warlock I use mainly The Ram, but right now I'm really liking Nothing Manacles for my Voidwalker in PvP. When using self res I usually equip Purifier Robes.

On my Titan I use ACD/O Feedback Fence, Helm of Inmost Light, and The Armamentarium. When I finish upgrading Defender I'll use Helm of Saint-14 when I use that.
