Somewhat, I'll admit it. Although I know they chances of any former characters appearing Best Wishes as of now is slim to none, part of me wanted Paul to appear. I just wanted to see how Paul would react to Ash's new Pokemon and stuff.

^ I love that second to last one. It looks so adorable and really well made; you can tell the artist put lots of effort into drawing it. 
If there was a fic like that out there, I'd read it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to look for such a fic, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. ><

I don't think he would be, as you call it, 'mean'; but I don't see him being too friendly either. Rather, I would definitely feel satisfied if he treat Ash like his equal in strength, but not above him in skills. He could still test Ash's battling ability and give him criticism if need be, or recount his experiences in other regions with him. I mean, he does show a certain level of respect towards him now that the whole Sinnoh League fiasco is over. Perhaps they could be companions, maybe?
I know, right? Speculation on whether or not Paul returns in BW (which is highly unlikely) kinda raises my hopes in believing that such an event could actually happen. Kinda like Gary in DP, but revolving more around Ash and his relationship/ex-rivalry with Paul.

Well I wouldn't call Paul 'mean', he's just...not a jolly person. IF they were to meet up again, he would surely respect Ash and treat him a tad better than before. Of course, he'd take the opportunity to sweep Ash since now he has a very weak team.

He is just a friendly and happy person that will do pretty much anything. He's not girly. Pfft. In truth, Paul is actually doing an awesome job with his pokemon. He's the kind of person who gets pokemn for their natures, IVs, EVs and egg moves to make them strong while Ash just catches whatever he sees. Paul reflects a true competitive trainer, like me. I mean, I realese any pokemon that I don't need. Seriously, why keep them locked up in a PC where they can't see the light of day? Now THAT is cruel. Man, I have so many useless Patrat and Pidgey in that PC of mine...I'm running out of boxes!

For a fanfic idea maybe Paul should return and be like his usual self in Sinnoh and he runs into Ash. Also then Gary should come and he would be doing research for professor Oak. Cilan is tagging along with Ash already so there can be a three way rivalry between Paul, Gary, and Cilan who would sabotage the others plans in order to win Ash's heart!! Hehe I think it could become a humor and romance story. In the end Ash would of course choose Paul ^.^

It is a fan-made concept. Last I check his eyes are black. They draw them purple mainly because it looks better visually to draw him with colored eyes instead of pitch black pupils. And let's be for real, if Paul ever made a cameo in Best Wishes, one would hope they would give his eyes more color like they did for Ash.
And yes, I think purple eyes suit Paul very well
Well Paul is a victim of something many people like to call Flanderization (from TVtropes). Basically that's when an author (fanfic or otherwise) takes a notable trait from a character and exaggerates to an unrealistic degree.
Paul was a pretty harsh person, especially his first few appearances. However he is not a cruel and sadistic psycho. However many people took his harshness (since to be honest, he was the first recurring character to have a true mean streak) and ran with it. So that's why we get so many fanfics of him being an a--hole.

Paul would definitely lighten up to Ash, however I don't see him being all completely friendly. No doubt he would still criticize/insult Ash, but not as rude as he was in the past. He would definitely challenge Ash again to see if he went soft on him. I could see Paul and Ash definitely having a civil chat with each other.

Ooohh!!! I had this idea simmering in my head for like the entire school year after DP ended! XD Well heheh... Satoshi would be in like a sky ship where team rocket has held his pikachu captive and he finally sets it free but after another pokemon assault between him and his nemesis, a button was triggered and the ship explodes. Airisu and Dento watch the debris and Satoshi free-falling and somehow a figure flies down from where the sky ship was and grabs hold of him and sends out a silhouette of a flying-pokemon and lands on the surface below. When Airisu and Dento meet up, the person that saves Satoshi disappears along with the mysterious pokemon and only Airisu sees a glimpse of who that figure was and wonders.
At the pokemon center, Nurse Joy heals Satoshi's Pikachu and says that some guy was wanting to meet him and is waiting for him at the center. Satoshi, Airisu, and Dento hurry outside and there, that same figure that Airisu saw from earlier standing on the patio looking out at the serene sunset. The figure spots the three shadows including a familiar one and turns to see Satoshi; the figure reveals that he is Shinji (and with a new and awesome look XD)
I do have more from that lil story but I don't want to have a super long post. Dang, I really want to write a fanfiction of this, however, I'm already working on an epic and different Coma story XD.

Like catzeye already said, it's probably because Ash is so often uke... :'D Annnnnd, maybe it's because Ash has a strong history of crossdressing! (3 times already! or more...?) I don't mind seeing him in the dress thought<3 But I still think Paul would have better hair for girly-pictures.
And yeah, purple eyes match his hair, so it's a fanmade thing. (HNGGG, for the thought about Paul returning and getting new shiny eyes! <3____<3 that would be awesome!)
Love your questions, keeps the thread alive! But yeah, I don't understand this either! I mean, he is a bit "cruel" to his Pokémon but isn't he just doing the same as everyone? Sticking with the strongest Pokémon, so can't really blame that. But then again, I love him because he isn't as nice as everyone else in the show.
Unf, I wish there would be more Evil!Ash (the Pokelantis king or whoever it was) x Paul fics, Paul being totally surprised by Ash's completely changed personality and then he has to act the good guy role while evil!Ash is doing the nasty tricks...<3

-pokes head in- GUYS GUESS WHO'S HERE? The ringmaster of Comaland has arrived. Yeah sorry for not posting here at all, I had tons of things to go to and yeah busy life is busy. T_T But I'm here now (especially since it's summer heheh) I'm going to compose a huge update on the members list and topics and other things you guys shared here so far. (btw welcome to you all -gives Comacookies- shippers love Comacookies)
Second, while reading this thread I've finally come up with an idea for Saturday. Back then when DP was airing in Japan and NA, we would have reviews based on the newest episode/dub that was released. (well technically it was a bit loose cuz Japan episodes aired on Thursday/Friday) I have a few RAW episodes on my harddrive somewhere and while I attempt to collect the rest as well as some dub episodes, we could have a livestream where I play the episodes and meanwhile we can chat about it (and other applesauce) on the side. What do you guys think of this? It'll be called Streaming Saturday! -shot-
@Zino OMG Those arts are really cute. I'm sad most of the cool Coma-art sites closed down. Apricot, Tocot, pureyades, etc but hopefully they come back or have a pixiv account somewhere. Which means I need to stalk pixiv more and snag all the pretty little art.
Evil!Satoshi is the only time Satoshi will ever top. I guess normal Satoshi is too nice. But I recall there being fics about Evil!Satoshi x Shinji. It was called Hostileshipping, right? Gotta look for it now, giggle at all the glorious text, and share it here. But I think it was R-18 so not sure about the sharing now without a huge warning, lol.

I think he would, especially after seeing him lose to Trip many times he would possibly take back all tiny aspects of respect he gained after Shinji lost to him. I should catch up to BW but if Shinji appeared I would zoom through all the missed episodes. > Shinji could probably still be mean to Satoshi because he likes seeing this kid get all hyped up, hehe.
Hopefully whenever Hikari re-appears (but for a random reason just like the other events that caused Kasumi and Haruka to appear), Shinji does too.Or just him cuz you know he should follow Satoshi into Unova after battling Brandon.

As for Shinji returning, well you're right I wouldn't want to toss more candy into the Ikari field but unless the writers have an idea for bringing back Satoshi's old rivalswho isn't Shigeru then there's a small chance Shinji would come unless he really is a stalker or Hikari encounters him somewhere in Shinou and drags him all the way to Unova, lawl. I actually never thought of Reiji or Shirona to come with him instead so those are excellent traveling partners.
When Brandon was going to appear, many speculated that he had some sort of relation to the Eva brothers but the guy didn't say anything and just pwn'd Shinji's butt. It is my headcanon too.

...I'm constantly complaining why in all the shounen-ai anime's the other boy is always so feminine, but didn't realize I love to think Ash as so feminine too! xD But only when it comes to drawing, when it's fanfic I like more manly!Ash. :'D
This! But then again I can't choose! I love the idea of Brandon being their father (c'mon they look so similiar! And still, THEY WEREN'T! D: Or maybe they just didn't Ash and co. to know...). But then again, the idea of Cyrus being their father interest me too, mostly because of their home is where the headquarters are, and Paul's similar concept-art pose and attitude comparing to Silver who's father is evil organization's leader... And as for the Ash's dad... I want it to be Giovanni, because then Ash can become bad ans sexy in the future BD. Okay, not really, but it would be nice if they would hint about his father sometimes in the future.
