• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Ninfa reminded me too much like Victni and Delicatty in way, due to the coloring and the design. Well, as everyone has said, they usually reveal a new eeveelution every even generation or so, so I am assuming that from what it looks like, could be in theory a flying type. Of course it kinda reminds me of whats-er-face from the flying type gym so you get why I think it's a flying type. Or it could be a new type too, since they obscured the type... which raises questions, if it's a new type, what's the weakness and strengths and how many Pokemon can have that typing?

Also, since this is a new generation, I wonder if they'll add new evolutions and possibly solve the many questions such as how can Kangasan (I can't spell its name right) already have a kid if you breed it.

Okay, just putting this here before someone else does and derails any discussion that's going on. On Tumblr earlier, I saw this post appear on my dashboard several times, each response with various degrees of incredulity. It basically says that Ninfia is a Light type, and the light type completes a trinity with Dragon and Steel. It also says that this information was pulled from the source code of the Pokemon X and Y website.

I'm going to call bullsh*t on this now, not because of Light type speculation (which I think is extremely unlikely but hardly the point of this discussion), but because they're introducing it to be strong against the steel type and weak to dragon. Neither of those types need a buffer like that. If they wanted to do things with the type chart, steel and dragon are like the last types they'll be dealing with.

Also, the post says that several Fairy egg group pokemon, including Clefairy, Chansey and Audino will be gaining the Light type. Okay, I'm putting you in an octagon because you have got to STOP. Retroactively adding a steel type to one evolutionary line one generation later is one thing, adding a type to several evolutionary lines, several generations later is crazy. It would totally dismantle the established balance, and I guarantee that the people who follow the metagame will be *****ing to no end if Blissey gains a dragon weakness. Like, seriously. If there's going to be a light type (and I don't think there is, but again, not the point), then maybe one or two lines from before will get it. Maybe.

And then of course there's the fact that there's no official source for this, just someone claiming to have pulled it from the coding on a website. Keep in mind that the info we have on Ninfia comes from Corocoro and not a website. Also, if it was legit, Serebii would have caught wind by now, and we'd all know.

So please, if someone else finds this, please know that it's not to be taken seriously.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA. Calm yourself.

I think Ninfia will be Flying-type, even though I was hoping for Ghost-type.

I agree with this. It ver much reminds me of the Shaymin Sky Forme, which does not have wings, but is flying because it runs with wind, likely much like this pokemon. I still get this dragon feel to it though, don't ask me why, probably because of what I like to call the "dragon" blue ribbon tips.

I'm actually surprised Dragon-type wasn't mentioned yet. Unless I missed it somewhere between these 50 pages of speculation.

when someone claims to pull souce codes of a product that is not even finished(and they have found it out from the website), i say that person should be congratulated for their accomplishemnt. :)

P.S: how ppl go out to sound credible. are these ppl think every1 in the world is idiots or do they feel live with idiots since they obviously feel too smart?

What if it's strong against Dragon and weak against steel? The steel weakness makes since because steel is the most solid material as far as types go and even in real life light can't pass through solid metal. The strength against dragon could come from light being raw energy maybe? Idk.

I think Flying is likely. Her ears and bowtie/whatever that is look sort of like... They are flowing in the air, or that they allow her to fly(kind of like Rayman or Cream the Rabbit). Dragon could also be it, because she is very colorful, and has these "laser eyes". I also think Poison could be it, because it could show "Don't judge a book by its cover", or "Looks can be deceiving", and plus, the prefix Nin reminds me of ninja, and a ninja reminds me of an assassin. Lastly Normal is plain obvious, because... well, she's wearing bows, and has a Femine kind of look, like Delcattu and Loppunny, which of are also Normal types. Maybe Ice, too.

Done.

That would be more likely, should the type exist which I doubt, as Dragon is very powerful, and Steel underpowered.

There isn't any coding to say any of that is true.. it's just some troll trying to get some kind of kick out of fibbing!

Does anyone start to think that there may be a connection to why Xerneas, Yveltal, & Ninfia's types are still a mystery?

No. There is no connection. We often do not find out types early on, especially for Legends. Also, I think they may be saving the type of at least Ninfia for Sunday.

Another case for Flying type:

"Trivia

Ninfia is the lightest Eeveelution."

From Bulbapedia's Ninfia Page.

I do. As for what that connection is, I don't know, but it intrigues me that they're making them obviously mysterious as opposed to just not mentioning them.

It would not even be a trinity since Dragon is not weak/strong against Steel. Complete BS.

I don't think it's a type trinity, but something like a "people, heaven, earth" hierarchy. Steel is earth since steel also includes minerals, light is people and the good within them and Dragon is heaven or ethereal.

Ha, now this Light stuff is getting really ridiculous. I would flip my @%#$ if Chansey ended up being weak to Garchomp and Haxorus. I'd much better believe Ninfia's Flying, Normal or even Dragon before anything else just yet!

But its likely not real, like you assume. If anything, I doubt they'd directly call it ''Light Type'' for the same reason there's Flying Type instead of ''Wind Type''...meaning they may name any ''new types'', now or several gens later, to something less direct so it'd fit some sort of theme many Pokemon can fit into (Flying, Psychic, Fighting, and especially Normal for example).
