I feel that the tree is most likely Grass/Ghost. I don't really see it as Fairy as it looks too ghastly. It definitely has the makings of a ghost type.

It's probably going to be just a regular Pokemon, because the horde probably consists of some of it's basic forms. Woohoo ^_^ someone else who sees it as Yggdrasil too. Hmm, hard to say if it should be Grass/Fairy or Grass/Ghost, probably going to be Grass/Dark, but I would love it to be Grass/Ghost.

It was seen in a horde battle? I didn't know that.

Lol well even if it is a regular Pokemon it still looks like it will be awesome. I really would love for it to be a Grass/Ghost Pokemon since it hasn't been done before. I rather it not be Grass/Fairy. Don't get me wrong, I do like the new Fairy type (specifically Xerneas, Gardevior and Spritzee). But having every Pokemon and it's grandma become Fairy would be overkill.

Yeah its great and they are all working really well

I know I posted this yesterday
But I noticed that inkays nature changes drastically upon evolution
And I guess this has to do with the turning over, flipping its personality

I'm loving how much thought is going into these really creative pokemon!

That's a really good observation. I never thought of it like that.

As longas we get a new Fire/Psychic (honestly Darmanitan zen mode didn't cut it at all) and some more Ghosts (seriously there is only a small amount) and new type combos I will be happy as long as the designs are decent.

Orotto seems interesting and based on its looks I believe he can be found later in the game sometime after the 7th gym or near victory road. Also looks more like a bulky pokemon as well. Calling it now he can learn Wood Hammer

Orotto looks like those trees in the animated Snow White, where she got lost in the forest and started being wee bit delusional.

It seems another Grass/Dark like Nuzleaf and Cacturne..

Or an evil Sudowoodo.

I think Pangoro is the only evolution Pancham will get, and judging from a pattern I've seen with previous gens (new Fighting Poké with one evolution + old Fighting Poké that has two evolutions), I wouldn't be suprised if Timburr and it's evolutionary relatives are in the Kalos Pokédex (I didn't mention Machop because personally I hate that thing).

I don't mean for this to come off as a "I want [pokemon here] to be in the game!" post, but I honestly can't see Machop being a wild Pokémon in XY. Although probably it could work with Machop being exclusive to X and Timburr being exclusive to Y or something?

The second I saw Orotto I thought of this:

That tree Pokemon isn't the haunted pumpkin I wanted that's grass ghost, but I'll take it. I see it being grass dark

That's what I was thinking. There may even be a small possibility that it may be Grass/Fairy.

What is now likely is that we will not get a Grass/Ghost pumpkin. :)

Ever since Fairy's reveal everybody loves to label most revealed pokemon as Fairy..
It looks more like a ghost or dark typing to me.

Don't forget that we've already had a Grass/Dark tree Pokemon, Shiftry, so chances of Oorotto being Grass/Dark are fairly slim. It'll probably be Grass/Ghost.

Even though we had Shiftry we still got a cactus grass/dark so there is a higher chance its Grass/Dark.

when I first saw orotto just the picture alone somehow reminded me of age of mythology and more specifically this one power you can use if your playing as the norse called walking tree.

Please no. We have enough Pokémon with this terrible typing. Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Cacturne and (supposedly) Chespin's evolution.

The tree should be Grass/Ghost. Grass/Fairy is perfectly fine too.

No.

It's being labeled Fairy because that's what it legitimately appears to be. Not because "everyone" is labeling everything Fairy, even though that's far from true.

I can see why you'd say Ghost, but honestly Fairy is more likely. I just don't imagine this tree as being Ghost type. What, just because it looks kinda sinister? Sorry, but no.

It's a Treant; of course its going to remind people of every other Treant out there. Living trees have been in all sorts of games & mythology spanning from Final Fantasy to Lord of the Rings; I'm surprised it wasn't included sooner.

That being said, I don't know if its been proposed yet, but what do you guys think of this as being an evolution to Sudowoodo? Of course, that would mean that it would be a Rock/Dark or Rock/Ghost pokemon in the end (or Rock/Fairy, I suppose), but it might be feasible. Sudowoodo already looks like a somewhat unfinished Pokemon. His attack and Defense are already somewhat high, but so was Rhydon's when he got a 2nd stage. Sudowoodo's already a fake-tree thing, so this might be an evolution for him to look even more tree-like.

Looking at this Mock/Treant/Orotto, I don't put too much faith in that myself (I think he's his own, hopefully 2 stage, Pokemon), I just wanted to present the possibility and see what you guys think.

the sketch looks to evil to be sudowoodo. I would lean towards it being a separate line altogether indeed if it is a line at all. Could well just be a standalone poke
