Because it can't perform it to it's best ability.

That's like saying Weezing should learn Fire Fang because it has fangs.

He's fast, he has gigantic claws, what more does he need?

I would want a poison/steel type with levitate, I was hoping it could have been like the regional bug of this gen for example first stage larva: Bug/poison, second stage cocoon: Bug/steel and the final evo which is based on a moth being Poison/steel with levitate, but vivillon is our regional bug. oh well.

Could be some kind of armored beetle, and the poison comes from rust or something.

A poison steel bug would be great
Like maybe a snail but with a more evil look
I'd love a bronze steam punk like shell and a purple gooey slime body

An evil looking snail. I could get behind that.

I'm really hoping for some good ice types this gen. 5th gens ice types sucked imo. Cubchoo was cute but its evo was meh. I'd really like Ice/fairy and Ice/poison types.

They've revealed quite a lot of fairy types so far. I'm not complaining but I've just noticed that all 5 of them are pure fairy type. I hope we get some cool fairy dual types. Spritzee will most likely end up fairy/flying and Flabebe maybe fairy/grass. of course some old pokemon will be changed to be some cool fairy dual types but i'd like brand new ones to be too

A slug that evolves into a snail sounds cool. I'm surprised they haven't done this already as the regional bug tbh (I dont count slugma as it's lava). They always seem to go with butterflies/moths.

I loved beartic, though its sprite looked horrible. A snow leopard? Siberian tiger?

^Never got that myself.

Yeah a snail is something I always wanted to be done again
I love mist our butterfly/moths and would welcome them with open arms but I would like them to switch it up like what was done with leavanny

I also want our early route pokemon to evolve into pokemon with good stats

Well, I do not think it would be mechanical. Nor the others which have not been created artificially. They may look mechanical, but they are most likely organic, since they are living, sentient creatures.

I see it sort of looking like the armored beetle from yugioh, just kinda rusty.

Maybe the organic beetle could have obtained rusty armor in order to adapt for survival?

I like it. I can't imagine rust tastes good.

idk rust is quite brittle.

Unless it just wants to give predators tetanus.

That what I'm imagining. Not totally rusty, just a splotch here and there.

well unless they do something to help Abomasnow, or come out with better poke w/ Snow Warning Ice isn't going to be able to compete very well in weather fights. Ground, Rock, and Steel all have Tyranitar and Hippowdon to hide behind, Fire has DW Ninetails and Groudon, and Water has DW Politoed and Kyogre. As much as I hate to admit it, OU has turned into a massive sausage fest of weather teams and Ice can't really compete there no matter how much I wanna abuse Glaceon or Froslass.

Yeah, its a shame its such a bad defensive type, if he wasn't ice, beartic would've a pretty good wall.

That's partly to do with the whole 'Ice type moves are good, but Ice types suck' thing. It's a horrid defensive type yet its the only type immune to Hail and the only type that can truly abuse it. With Rain, you have Water and Electric types, as well as a few pokemon that appreciate the nerf to Fire moves and vice versa with Sun and its Fire and Grass types. Sand is a bit more limiting because of residual damage but three types are immune to it so its fine. Hail just takes all the drawbacks of Sand and amplifies them by focusing upon single, bad type.

Ice type pokemon are much better as attackers than being defensive, and I really hope more pokemon in this gen get access to ice shard, what I find weird is cryogonal got ice shard while Beartic didn't. Beartic has base 110 physical attack while cryogonal has base 50 physical attack. Gamefreak logic
