dex transfer

we all know you can connect to FRLGRSE, but there are gonna be around 500 pokemon in all, so do you think it would be fair for you to be able to just transfer pokedex entries and not the actual pokemon...? this way, you can "catch" the pokemon much easier, and any Pokemon that you actually <b>want</b> then you can actually trade over.

(obviously still allow pokemon trades)

Well if you still have to trade I suppose the idea is pointless for times sake,if your talking about trading all data at once well then there is no fun.

Perhaps this should even go in the ideas that will not happen thread...

Well, we are currently on about 386 Pokémon, so I think it's safe to assume that 500 is a good even number to aim for, as if we went to 400, that would only be 14 new Pokémon, of which we already know about 8. Wouldn't be much of a new game then, eh?

You wont trade beetween 3rd and 4th gen games, you will just find all youre old pokemon in x amount of boxes if you play 4th gen games with 3rd gan games in their slot! That is the way that poke dash,Kanvass curse, and shrek superslam worked u goofeses! And, yes I like youre idea TC.

As much as I'd love to, I doubt it. That's practically the whole point of trading outside of trade-evolutions and getting the Pokemon you specifically want.

Yeah, dex transfer would simply destroy the trading fundamental of the games that GameFreak has built up over the years. We will have to trade the long and oh-so-boring way.

The New PokeDex should separate all the Pokemon.


Kanto Dex:
1-151

National Dex:
152-251

Hoenn Dex:
252-386

Shinou/Alternate Dex:
???-???

I think that's how they should be separated.
When you go to "PokeDex",a list will appear and you can choose which Dex to see.

Most likely like the FR/LG Dex.

But FR/LG PokeDex's was boring,seeing as you couldn't scroll down.

But,when you access the which Dex you want to see,you can scroll down and see all the Pokemon,like R/S/E PokeDex.


I was thinking that when you first start the Game,you get the Alternate Dex first and you see all the Pokemon that are available in Shinou including Kanto/Johto/Hoenn Pokemon.

Shinou Dex only gives the list of Shinou Pokemon.

National Dex only gives a list of Johto Pokemon only.
The reason I putted National Dex was becuase the Johto Region doesn't exist anymore in the 3rd Generation Games.

Except for Celio that says that Bill lives in Goldenrod City,but that is just a little addition in FR/LG to tell that he really lives there.

You all know how the Kanto Dex,Hoenn Dex's work.

Kanto Dex,Kanto Pokemon only.

Hoenn Dex,Hoenn Pokemon only.


Most likely,we may get 300+ new Pokemon for D/P.
