Diamond and Pearl TCG set

PokéBeach is reporting that after Furthest Ends of Offense and Defense, the card game will become fourth-generation. The next set will be based on Diamond and Pearl Pokémon. The cards will apparently include the Pokédex description text, not seen since Legendary Collection, and also the level the Pokémon on the cards are at. There will supposedly also be entry packs alongside boosters and theme decks, but little is known about these.

Personally, I don't want to see the Pokédex text and the Pokémon levels back. I found them to be in no way connected to the card and they just took up space. Plus, it's likely us fakers will have to have new blanks (assuming there's a box from text and level).

The entry packs could be a good idea though.

I just have my fingers crossed there aren't any new card designs...they're fine as they are.

So, Furthest Ends of Offense and Defense is the last set of the 3rd generation Pokemon, right? It'll be interesting to see how each cards will look like. I hate the Pokedex entry, takes up too much space on it. The lvl. of each Pokemon had never has to do with the gameplay of Pokemon TCG. >_> I still like our current cards though.

I liked the Pokedex entries. Just a little more interesting information about those cuties.

I'm looking forward to the new cards! Yes siree!

...Although, the 'entry packs', will likely not make it to the US. Japan has had promotional decks for years, and the US generally doesn't receive any of the cards from these decks(although, since Nintendo took over, we have...hmmm.)

good point, and in EX ruby and sapphire, we had cards that were never in the japanese set directly.. like a Holo mudkip...? that became a common! but later on came out as a promo for something?!?

Keep the silver border, yeah, and I wouldn't mind a shift to the old Japanese way of showing Weakness, Resistance and Retreat Cost (like the Gym series here). But I just want everything else to stay the same. I mean, the design's fine as it is...if something isn't broken, just don't fix it...

Chances are at least...I'm hoping for that (Pokemon EX) to stay.

I'm guessing no word on the artists yet? I hope they keep my two favorites (Kouki Saitou and Ryo Ueda) but chances are they will.

or something
The set after Crystal Guardians will be the Furthest Ends of Offense and Defense (English name unknown). This D/P set will come after Furthest Ends, most likely sometime in February.

Although, Japan already has some of the 4th gen. cards released as promos.

I'm guessing Corocoro will release the starter cards as promos soon. That's generally how things are done.

Oh, and the holo Mudkip was a special prize given to the top player at the local Pokemon leagues. You can find them on Ebay for pretty cheap.

Aww... damn, now I have to do research for my Face-Off even more, since the Fourth Gen is coming... >.>

I really like the Third Gen more... Besides, I don't think I'll be buying these even if they come out since I don't have the money... >.> (Unless they have Electrike and Manectric... =P)

I'm just curious about how those Entry packs look like though...
