Diamond or Pearl?

Wi-Fi or no Wi-Fi, I'll be getting Diamond. Why? Because all we really have are names, and I like diamonds far more than pearls. Plus I'm not going to shell out another $150 for the ability to trade with Pearl.

I have Blue & Silver, was going to buy Silver but Crystal was already out. Anyway, probably Pearl.

same here ... because i allways manage to finish both games to have the legendarys/starters twice ^^ ( or even 3x, like i've done in ruby/saphir/emerald )

and because i am a fan too, of course ( i'm not saying that i understand ALL the mysterys and/or breeder's tip and advice, but i'm on the way ^^ )

I'll be waiting for this, as well. I'll probably end up getting both eventually, like I did with all of the other games, but the first one will be determined in the fashion that you use as well.

Nintendo really has to release some info fast. Ill probably get diamond cause pearls are made at sea and I dont like the sea but Ill make my official decision when we see the differences betwen the two games.

One question; why are they called "Diamond" and "Pearl"?

Red/Blue=opposite colours (hot/cold)
Gold/Silver=metals (first/second)
Ruby/Sapphire=Gems of R/B
(I didn't do Yellow, Crystal, of Emerald as they are expansions)

Yet;
Diamond/Pearl=?
The only thing I can see is that they are precious and take a long time to develope.
