Did anyone else think this was weird?

I just got done watching Jirachi: Wish Maker...and at the end the song was half english/half japanese. What the...? I know this is rather silly on my part and your going to call me a dub purist again but I actually liked the English part of the song. However, listening to the Japanese one wasn't bad either. I just don't know why they didn't keep either or without it being a mess.

I didn't get around to Destiny Dexoys yet but do they do it again?

Just kinda there.
Yeah, they repleaced L·O·V·E·L·Y ~Dream-Seeing LOVELY BOY~ (usually just called Lovely Boy). Must people hate it, but I like it sparingly.

I liked both the English and Japanese parts of Make A Wish. I think I perfer A Small Thing (the song in Japanese) just a bit more, though. ^^; 4Kids did a real good job with that one, even if having two different languages is a bit bizzare. I wouldn't call it a mess, though.

Well if anything this did teach me that translated lyrics with dubbed voices are excellent...it works sometimes case in point this one...I just wish I could have heard the whole song.

It was originally a Japanese song which was used for the ending theme of the movie. For whatever reason, 4Kids chose to not only keep the ending but also do a sort of colab, if you will, by having one part in Japanese and another in English.

It was well done and is the only time 4Kids has ever used Japanese lyrics in anything of theirs, including Pokemon. Destiny Deoxys was unfortunate and screwed over more than it originally was (the movie wasn't very good to begin with) by not keeping in consistancy with the last movie. From the sounds of it, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew does the same thing as the last movie. It's odd they don't even keep Puffy AmiYumi considering they've even got their own TV show and are becoming somewhat popular in the US.

Why would they know what's popular or cool anyway? :p
They grabbed the rights to dub Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and One Piece, didn't they? :p
