That was a month and a half ago but to answer your question, yes and no. pein killed kakashi but severly injured hinata where she was on the verge of death. but something miraculous happened. Here is the link if you want to see what happened after wards: http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/449/01/

and to answer the question...(WARNING: INTENSE spoilers):
Pain did in fact kill Kakashi in battle, however, when Naruto convinced Pain to support him, he gave his life to ressurect everyone who had died during his invasion, including Kakashi. Hinata on the other hand, was severely wounded by Pain when she tried to intervene in his fight with Naruto after declaring her love for him, but was later shown to be alive. It was Pain striking Hinata that drove Naruto to go into the 6-Tailed state.
