Diet Ribbon? WTF?

Ok this item is pointless, If you are holding it you can't fill up your belly and if the leader is holding it, they're hunger drops faster, and it turns you status to hunger pal (what is that?) Anyways, wtf is the point of this item?

Try throwing it at an enemy following you
anyway hungry pal only affects parteners and wild pokes.
They can't move what-so-ever just attack.

Basicly a hunger seed hold item...

And Hungry Pal status makes your partners's attacks do only one or two. Makes them easy prey.
