Difference between Whrilwind and Roar

Can someone tell me where the difference between this attacks is and which of them should I give my scarmory???

they're the same just they are for different pokemom because it isn't like hariyama can roar

I want to use it together with spikes.

Whrilwind is a breeding move afaik and that is a bit more work to do...

I just wanted to know if one got less accuracy or if Ghosts are immune to Roar, as they're immune to normal Attacks (I don't think they are, but I dunno. )

And it happens often that Whirlwind of wild Pokeys won't work

I don't know about ghosts, but I think whirlwind works on pokemon using fly.

also you can´t give skarmory wirlwind+drill peck.

When you use Roar, you have the option of also having Drill Peck, so you don't have to lower your IV's for HP Flying - but when you use Whirlwind, you cannot get Drill Peck and have to go for HP Flying. And Roar is blocked by soundproof while Whirlwind is not, making them pretty much equal.

Breeding for Hidden Powers is an insidious b1tch, so I usually prefer Roar/Drill Peck over Whirlwind/HP:Flying. Electrode would probably 1HKO you with Thunderbolt before you Whirlwind, anyway.

Skarm is not going to stay in on Electrode, unless you're doing some really heavy prediction that your opponent predicts a switch and will do something else, which can risk your Physical wall.

Whirlwind is better then Roar because there are Pokemon like Exploud etc... that have Soundproof Trait and are immune to it. Whirlwind isn't stopped by anything except Suction Cups (which Roar is also stopped by).

lol uh Exploud, Electrode and Mr. Mime are hardly used at all in OU where most roarers are ._.
