Different-Colored Pokemon?

No, I'm not talking about shinies, I'm talking about Pokemon that are often shown with 2 different colors in their regular form.

For example:

Why doesn't Nintendo just keep all the colors the same and quit changing them for each game and card?

Also, not every pokemon is the same.
Coloration is unigue to each individual.

Then look at beldum/metang/metagross. In anime/collo/XD, they were turquoise. In the GBA games, they're blue.

it depends on the versions

In the earlier ones, the colours were darker than the advance generation pogeys.
In the 3D games, things always look darker in comparison to 2D games of it's kind.

It's like real animals. Not every Golden Retriever has yellow fur (some are more sandy brown or a bright red color), and goodness knows you'll never see two Tigers with the same stripes.

I know... I know... Pokemon =/= Reality.. but if there's any reason two TCG drawings of Eevee don't have the same shade of brown used on their fur, I'd be willing to bet it's because the artists wanted to give them a bit of originality, just like real animals.

Also, did any one else notice in the old Pokemon Stadium games, your Pokemon's color would change with the amount of characters in it's name?
Ex: a Meowth named Meowth would be normal colored, but a Meowth named Bob would have a greenish tint to it. I always thought that was kind of neat.

Really? I bet they removed that for shinies.

Not that I'm complaining, shinies r0x0rz.

Pokemon coloration differs from region to region. Look at the pattern on an Arbok's hood. From each of the versions it was in, it had a different pattern. It even says so on the R/B version and LG.

Think of it this way. Arctic hares are normally white in winter but in summer they are brown.

I even have pet guppies and one of them was female to begin with. I used to only have 2 males and WTF, now I have 4?! And there are still 8 guppies! And no, that was not an algebraic equation. -_-'

Why are you fussing about pokemon's colours anyway? As long as we don't have an orange Blastoise in our TGC deck, I don't see why pokemon can't have themselves an awkward tinge.

I think that is a nintendo error but when they see that they told that could be an interesting thing.

Another reason:

For the TCG, it also depends on the different artists.
not all artists draw and colour the exact same.

And GLowstick_Cult has a point, why fuss? It's not like we can change it.
