I notice that domestic shows can get away with a lot more than imported shows. Which is why TV dubs have such a bad reputation of "sucking" compared to their native counterparts. And this is just another example of that--US-made shows can show bombs (where would Kim Possible be without them, for instance?), but a Japan-made show of the same rating can't.
